You can have your opinions on the story but the gameplay is definitely a step up in every way a second game should. Adds alot of new but still got the feel of the old. Smarter ai and better movement makes this some of th best 3rd person gameplay in my opinion. Not to mention the insane gore detail which is by far the best of any game

Loving these challenges man! Also, you could make a custom difficulty with everything grounded except for resources, and then it allows you manually turn on or off the HUD in the menu.

Probably obvious from my videos and playing it so much that it's one of my favorite games. I also can see why some of the story choices don't work for people especially with how different it is from the first game and that's totally cool too! It does seem like a lot of people agree that the gameplay is great at least, which is definitely a big reason why I've replayed it so much lol.

A cool one to see I think would be a no shooting run. Obviously you have to shoot during ellie's car chase and there might be some scripted shots here and there maybe but otherwise it might be possible. For the rest king you could theoretically go into that fight with 6 pipe bombs and 3 alchohol, explosive, and cups for the ability to craft 9 more pipe bombs during the fight. I would hope that would be enough for that but I don't know
@@HBDiniz10 to an extent you're right, doing a no kills run is the same as doing a no kills with guns and a no kills with melee run combined. But these videos aren't only about whether that challenge is possible but also the story and the struggles that go along with that challenge. Take the school section for instance. In a melee only challenge you would play that section entirely differently from a no kill challenge. Instead of rushing past everyone and hoping it would probably be more of rising enemies down and throwing bricks. I think it would still be interesting to see

I actually do this all the time. If I’m in a 10min long encounter and I take damage, I lose. It’s very fun for me to be as efficient as possible. I love the No Return mode because it forces me to take it how it comes.

Ohhhh that’s interesting. I took damage from it as you saw in the video. It’s possible it’s like you said they made it so you can’t die to Alice if you’re already low on health, but then I guess if you get there having taken damage that would count against me for the sake of the video.

Scripted enemy spawns are so funny when you place a trip mine. The bench in day 2 that spawns WLF’s and the Serephite brute spawn which actually cancels the cutscene for example.
I recently got the game and immediately chose grounded + permadeath going for 100%. So far I'm at the hospital without a death or damage, I can say this is way more impressive than hiding for 2 hours just to restart checkpoint because enemies commit extreme acts of bodily harm instantly. loved the video!
Just played part 2 for the first time and I'm so happy that I'm sad if that makes sense, I love this, the characters aren't even real but somehow I find myself caring way too much about them
I would agree for something like a permadeath type “no damage” run that should be the case, but here I was more so trying to count anytime the health bar went down whether it was scripted or not
ngl joel lived a very long life in my opinion he was getting old but still lived in many attacks even when he got stabbed in the chest idk what its called in the first the last of us but he never died which was crazy and he has to deal with cold and zombies he even lived longer than tess like dang
This sounded like a good idea, but I tried shooting/alerting the seraphites and sadly it doesn’t work. I think they might not spawn in until you climb onto the area where Ellie gets shot, so it seems like this is just scripted/unavoidable :(

because they are all fireflies and it was a pretty big thing when joel was bringing ellie to possibly find a cure an then their best doctor was murdered before making a cure with ellie
It can be done on GROUNDED,with PERMADEATH WHOLE GAME!!! ON top of that it can be done with NO TRAINING manuals taken(no pills at all) and no weapons upgrade at all... And under 9 hours of GP... Was done 3 years ago by AETHER,impresissive run...

Pro Tip for the flooded mall on Ellie's Day 3, if you drag enemies a ledge you can dump them in the water.

It'd be worth to get a ps5 to play it and many other ps5 titles, that's exactly what I did and haven't regretted it

Part 2 is so challenging for a no damage runs with all the infected it’s crazy
