Impressive all the way around! I'm a loyal Cessna fan and have been for a LONG time, even though I did my initial training in an old "Hersey bar wing" Cherokee 140. Watching a competent pilot show his skills at multi-tasking even in a fixed gear single engine aircraft is awesome to watch. REALLY enjoyed this video!
the pilot has a lot going on, very busy. arrows coming from all directions. very experienced. great video, you're always a good host and you had a good pilot on today in Randall.
This Cessna is exactly what I need in my life. We go to Montreal all the time and my wife is scared of "small" planes. I would have it all to myself, well my dogs too. Next video should be that V-22 Osprey in the background.
That's not a V-22... That's the new experimental V-280 Valor helicopter for the Army. You can tell by the all black paint, split rotor housings and the V tail...
Wow such a nice plane thanks for the tour! Also that atc is perfect, and you can tell how much rain we been getting here in north tx everything so green looks like a flight sim
These new 206s look really plush and well finished. I don't think I could afford a new one but I have to get a license before worrying about that anyhow
Midwest4x4f150 yeah “unfortunately” a plane designed 50 years ago in which the only state of the art component is the avionics package costs half a mil...no wonder GA has declined
I used to fly this back in the early 1990s. I have about 2200 hours in this type of aircraft. LAX-PHX-LAS-LAX just about every workday transporting workers. Great plane. Alternated with a P210.
The only major competitor to the C-206 in the 6-seater class at comparable price range were the Beech Bonanza and Piper PA-32 Cherokee Six. The high wing Cessna design allowed it to compromise aesthetics for utility. I once flew the C-206 in the 1990s as well as 172 / 182(RG). Loved it! Go Cessna. Love the onboard avionis BTW, when I flew it was all analog / slide rule and pencil LOL.
I love the throaty exhaust growl of those IO540"s! Air traffic was busy! Those approaches on the display screen is so much easier than fumbling with paper charts...............
The sound is really enhanced when listening with bass enhanced headphones or a home theater system with a subwoofer; not to mention a BIG screen with at least 1080i resolution for visual bliss.
Lovely looking plane and a great video. Just a personal thought-i gave up flying in the early 90's before glass screens replaced the traditional steam gauge instrumentation;if i had the choice i think i'd go for the steam gauges myself. Best wishes from England and happy flying.
Can’t afford a New One,but I do own a 1965 Supper Skywagon,or Cessna 206U. Love it. Have 165K into it. Glass cockpit Avidyne 540,Aspen pro 1000,ADS b and 730 engine analyzer. Annual was close to 5k this year.Sure beats 760K for a new one. It can haul a lot. Had fuel fuel and 6 pax and still under gross by 100lbs
I'm sure most pilots have never heard of the Cessna 207. It has one extra seat and a nose baggage compartment which is necessary to control the aft cg. The engineer pushed the engine forward about 14-16" so the nose baggage is behind the engine and forward of the firewall. The engineer who designed the C-207 said if the airplanes tail settled to the ground without the pilot in the aircraft...but lifted the tail back up when the pilot got back in the pilots seat...then it was within cg. If the tail stayed on the ground when the pilot got in the pilots seat...then the cg was aft of the cg limit. I would bet that most of the Cessna 207's are in Alaska...and most pilots never heard of, or seen the Cessna 207.
@@IncredulousIndividual yes just looking 206 model have expensive than all other, 170K-300K have normal cost this ower price plane. cessna caravan and 182 can buy 4000-30K cost area lot lot lot. 6 seat have little up price. 4 seat lot cheapen. 6 seat piper 6/260 have less than 100 000$ lot.
I totally agree, every pilot should get their instrument rating. Just had a 60 year old student who got hers! So proud of her. Great video, awesome airplane
The wing struts on the C206 give me a bit more confidence than a C210 which doesn't have them. The fixed gear on the 206 is more rugged than the 210 and operating out of dirt strips in the Australian outback, I'd rather make that speed trade-off easily if it meant not being stuck somewhere waiting for gear parts to arrive.
Come on man you see the brand new experimental Bell Valor you gotta show some footage of that thing. Most people have never even seen one let alone see it flying
Dude ! I really Like this plane !! It beats the hell out of a 182 ! It's like a chopped Caravan !! Love your vid's ! Have you done a Staggerwing yet ??
You don't need a new headset. You do the mike holding thing on any that I have seen you use. You sounded fine when you kept your hands off the mike :) Thanks for doing these vids
I will be honest, I liked the earlier stuff, when you just had guys and girls that wanted to share their love for flying and airplanes. The later videos feel more like advertisements. I still like them but a different feel. Thanks for the content.
These videos don't pay for themselves and someones gotta pickup the tab. If it means a bit of promo at the beginning and end of the vid then I don't mind.
It's a family workhorse, especially if you're looking at 300 miles a leg with a maximum of 500 mile journeys. Any more and you'd want more speed for sure, even if you have to sacrifice the hauling capabilities. Also, this works great in the US and as a bush plane. In Asia, I'd be worried about the range. Wish the retract was still available. Makes a great case for the 210 turbo

7:55 shows what a beast this aircraft is. Some dream of fancy sports cars when they win the jackpot, I'd prefer this 😎
Sounds a lot like an old warbird. I love it!
I backed up to the start of the engine, just to hear that beautiful sound.... over and over and over...
Oh man, I'd love a 206. It's is one off my dream airplanes. Small enough to fly easily and big enough to hold the family.
the pilot has a lot going on, very busy. arrows coming from all directions. very experienced. great video, you're always a good host and you had a good pilot on today in Randall.
That interior is cherry!
The C206 is a beast. Definitely one of my favorites.
Great Air traffic controller! Awesome flying as well!
The design of this plane is so pretty, I’m obsessed with it👌😍
Me too 💚
Ease of entry and exit, far better than any low wing. From a 150 to a 210.
Just caught this. One of the best flights I've been on. Thanks to you both.

@@CFoxtrot25 Cool Do a Video on that...
Top-notch set-up, on a 6 count it was rotate & off the ground...impressive Cessna 206 .
Pickup Truck with wings. Great plane. If you can close the doors, it'll fly.
A d so will the doors
I mean the video is cool but did anybody notice that thing at 11:27? I think that's bell helicopter's new tiltrotor doing hover tests.
Nice! The Suburban/pickup of the Cessna line! Great airplane. Thanks for another cool video Bobby!
All time favorite single prop. 208s are naturally my favorite single turbo prop. Beasts that handle like butter and never fail.
Wow such a nice plane thanks for the tour! Also that atc is perfect, and you can tell how much rain we been getting here in north tx everything so green looks like a flight sim
Awesome ,I was so focus on the presentation when I saw this familiar face 8:26 on the co pilot seat
thx for share Captain bobby
Definitely changed my opinion of the 206, damn nice piece of kit, thanks for sharing.
I have many hours in the 206. It’s a great plane!!
@Влад Платон YES
Good load hauler too.
Great video Bobby, stunning takes and what an airplane !!. Well done again man!!!!!
Love the 206. What a sweet ride.
Great presentation, a tour of the outside, instrumentation, and operation. Probably not a great FIRST aircraft but something to aspire to.
These new 206s look really plush and well finished. I don't think I could afford a new one but I have to get a license before worrying about that anyhow
billiondollardan a new one is probably well north of $500k
@@Midwest4x4f150 Yeah I don't want to spend that kind of cash on a plane unless I can get a return out of it

Throughly enjoyed this one. What a nice airplane😀
GA needs more guys like this, would buy a plane from him every day (If I won the lottery).
Looks like a Yukon that can fly! Love it
Sailing and flying...you've got it figured out.

got a ride in one of the first, when I worked for the Cessna Dealer in Sacramento in 1962. Fabulous plane.
This really is a station wagon of the sky’s. Great all rounder. I’m already searching online.
That is the one I want. Nice plane thank you for the tour. Oh and wanting and getting are miles apart. Nautical miles. 😜
Is that knots, or Nots?
No mention of the prototype V-280 that was doing a test flight on takeoff? You can see it hovering from 11:12 to 11:18
Those fly all the time around our area (Arlington). Very cool to see them flying!
8:23

If I hit the lottery for several million dollars, this could be on my shopping list. LOL 😊 fun to dream anyway!
Right..The cheapest thing is buying one.If you dont want to dirt nap it, ya gotta keep her mint. Rentals scare me,lol
Yeah, I’m in same boat...
you can buy this cheapen than new car, used plane cessna cost normal 4000-30 000$ many thousand used plane have.
Matti Virta no you can’t, this is a very expensive aircraft

What a nice plane... Thanks
Randall is an especially competent pilot . . .
Nice video
Makes me want to buy one!!
Gorgeous!
not sure which is cooler: the plane itself or the bluesy guitar riffs.
Awesome aircraft !
Now you need to get a ride in that tilt-rotor lol.
They are testing the Bell V-280 Valor which is built in the local Arlington area.
Jesper Houken still prefer our lovely V22 even if it vibrates itself to death.
My next pick up truck!
Silky touchdown 👍😎👍
Great video - audio even with the sketchy mic. Videos looking great!
This is my favorite paint scheme
Those cargo doors are intense, wow!
Thank You for the informative video.
The retractable landing gear on the 210 can be a very expensive PITA to maintain.
A fixed gear strutted 206 vs. a 210 is about 30 knots slower.

Dude! You got air to air footage of the V-280 Valor and didn’t even mention it!!
And... best job on the planet goes to... Randall Funston. Envious man.
It's a lot of fun!
Beautiful plane.
Damn that Valor looks furturistic as fuuuuu.
Have u ever done a review for a piper lance or a commander 114
10:20 - Me and the remaining boys on a Saturday going to the last spot of the night
Thanks for sharing def eill consider this plan
I would imagine this would be very stable with a great useful load as well.
Spiro Oh hell yes!
wow... very cool. I want one.
Buenas noches, el precio del avión cessna 206. Por favor
was our last plane... was a blast to fly..
Nice!
🛩🐩🐩amazing video again Bobby
The number one Worlds largest Cessna Dealer
Dude ! I really Like this plane !! It beats the hell out of a 182 ! It's like a chopped Caravan !! Love your vid's ! Have you done a Staggerwing yet ??
Sweet video thank you! If I work hard I might get one before my retirement.
Put your prices on ur website
More great stuff Bobby! Yep, you need a new headset.
is that an Osprey landing at 8:21?
It really looks like one. I can't imagine what else it could be.
OH BOY!!!...I should not have watched this!!!...I need to expedite paying off 172 now!
Is that a drone right below u at11:28? Left Lower corner.
Love these Doodles -Van B videos!
You don't need a new headset. You do the mike holding thing on any that I have seen you use. You sounded fine when you kept your hands off the mike :) Thanks for doing these vids
Do you have any videos that demonstrate how you attach the external cameras? If not, could you?
I think the external cameras are held on by suction cups. Kind of scary if one fell off and hit somebody in the head.
@@sanfranciscobay- I sure hope that's not correct. For the reason you stated.
Is that a Bell V280 helicopter?
gjswilson yessir
2000 hours in Cessna 206 , excellent airplane
11:26 that's not an Osprey.. What is that Tilt roter? looks like a Blackhawk with a V-Tail and twin rotor props.
V280 Valor ;)
I could live comfortably in that. Are the back seats recliners?
Fred McLaughlin, the second row seats do recline.
I can't believe you didn't show some shots of the Osprey?!?!?!
I backed up the video to check it out myself.
On the East Side of DC where or with whom is the Best training. Thanks, Barry
Was that an Osprey hovering on the L taxiway during rollout?
Lol that airspace was a bit too busy for you guys to chat
Between this and a Cherokee 6/300 is family utility airplane heaven unless of course you can go up to a kodiak/caravan🥰
Weren't the Teledyn Continental engines fitted on them in the earlier times?
Those grey Bose... ?? First time I see a pair like them...

I’m not too keen on the lowline side windows in the cockpit. Danger can come from above . . . Fast! Other than that, it’s a great little plane.

I hate flying into GKY and have to drool over all the new Cessna's. We also get to see that V280 doing stuff.
