I've always wanted to fly a Cessna 206 Stationair since it is the big brother to my Cessna 182, and on paper it seems like it could be the perfect airplane long-term as my family grows. But I wanted to experience it in real life and see how it flew and if it was worth the hype. After spending a few days in it, I can say with confidence that this airplane is an absolute beast. I am working on a full debrief with my opinions on this airplane, and when it posts I'll put the link here.

Dear Santa....*sigh*
You gonna have to go to the North Pole and talk to him in person for this one 😂
@@bowzist 😂
😂😂😂😂 sameee
Lol
Gaston’s is freaking awesome.
THAT guy is a true salesman.. great demeanor and right at home in front of a camera. I have no doubt he is successful selling aircraft. Thanks for the great video!!
Gorgeous aircraft! But to be honest, what an amazingly well produced video. Kudos to your team.👏
Thank you! We spent a lot of hours on it.
206 was the first aircraft I ever flew in. Took off, but didn’t land in it………….. as it was also my first skydive. I love the noise their engines make on full power.
Holy crap you guys are killing me on the 206. My old 182 looks ancient and convinced me this is my next plane, one day
@barryscott990 182 is a Classic beauty!!
Back in the early 1970s my dad has a 205 Cessna. We would fly to the out islands in the Bahamas loaded with 6 people, and all the groceries and gear packed in around us! If you could get it in the airplane, it would fly!💪👌
Great video. I own a 2022 T206H and there is not enough content on RUclips for this great airplane. Well done.
Why not make some?
Thanks Collin! Sweet machine. Congrats!
Yeah, me too. I have 3 of them.
Fantastic content and production value. Keep it up, Charlie
Thanks so much for saying so! Glad you enjoy the channel!
This is wicked nice! Probably the best Cessna I have ever seen. Makes me wanna go buy one and lease it out for people to enjoy. Well done video good sir!
Super ! Thank you guys ! Wonderful airplane , and excellent video !
Wow!
Awesome bird!
You have earned yourself a new subscriber for opening my eyes to the Turbo Stationair.
A dream of an aircraft.. very awesome to see! Aligning/manifesting this for the future! Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Sure thing!! Glad you enjoyed!
You guys rocked this! Great
.
A Skyhawk at FL260 has to be a controller's worst nightmare lol
There has never been a Skyhawk(172) at FL260, impossible😀
Thats a 206 not a skyhawk
@@oliverokeeffe6379 Iam aware of that; I was replying to Ben Tebbe before me😀
been to FL190 in a 182, it was quite an experience
Can a plane fly higher than its rating?
What are the dangers?
The engine crapping out from lack of oxygen if it's non turbo or something else?
Sweet video man! I saw the preview pop up, then I instantly got excited. Your videos are top notch. A 182 would do, but I really like the 206!
Thanks Matthew! Appreciate you watching.
Thanks for this video. I had already bought my 172 from Cessna when they assigned Derek as my salesman after my original changed jobs. I look forward to calling again to upgrade in a few years! This looks nice.
Hope you enjoy the new home Derek and Hey Charlie!
“We will see if we can do this…” hahah that was very cute! 😊 Derek is a fun guy! Great video
Awesome video, exceptional quality. I was up at Gaston's not long ago myself, what a great place.
Incredible machine that just keeps going. I used to jump out of one of these from 1984 to 1991.
Great video and with a wonderful safety message hidden in there, don't be afraid to use your alternate airport, have lunch and wait out unfavorable weather.
Incredible airplane. It’s really got all the bells and whistles. Thanks for the great video.
Sure thing, glad you enjoyed!
Meh, check out the Compair 6.2, all its bells and whistles are way better at half the cost new, and that’s with everything Engine avionics everything. 350,000.
Lovely. Big HP makes for a lot of fun. I flew the Firefly 260M in training, and 260hp in a plastic aircraft that’ll give you +6/-3g was a good way to spend an afternoon.
Exceptional video and demonstration of an amazing crew and aircraft.
Thanks so much!
Nicely done Thank you sir!!!
What a beautiful and awesome aircraft. Very nice!
Loved the "Love Field"(no pun intended) intro with the SWA 737 taking off
We just took delivery of our 2023 206T. We had an 07 before this new one. They are incredible aircraft! I love the statement about the sr22. Lol, we almost bought a cirrus and decided on the 206 instead. Both airplanes use a ton of right rudder! I love Gaston’s! Maybe someday I’ll see you over there.
This is awesome! I'm not a pilot (yet) so I've only tried this airplane on Microsoft FSX and I found it lovable. Great job on this video, I never knew what the oxygen apparatus was like until I watched this and now I have me first ever understanding of how oxygen is needed/used on these unpressurized GA airplanes.
Can you guys do a video like this for the C208 Caravan?
Thank you! Hoping to do one on the Caravan. We'll see!
That..sir..is one fine aircraft. It’s like the Cadillac of aircraft right there. 👌🏻
Excellent video!
Excellent demo! I’m all in and am going to buy one……for my sim.
High quality videos. Good job 👍🏻
Thank you!
Plenty of cupholders to put my beer in.
That's a beauty of an airplane!
Love that you guys flew into Gaston's. I flew into there for a cross country. Such a cool place.
great vid, lots of info, thanks!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
Very nice video. Thank you
I live about 25 min from Gastons and have flown into that strip a lot! Its always fun!
Gastons is a good one. I was trying to do my cross country training to there. Arkansas has some great views!
Just found you on RUclips, nice flight, nice aircraft, looking forward to more. 🌹
Awesome, thank you! Welcome to the channel, glad to have you here!
i think i met that demo guy at Oshkosh this year lol. awesome video, sweet airplane!
A truly outstanding aircraft!
What a beautiful aircraft.
Cool Flight ! We rented a 206 while stationed at NAS Memphis, Tn in 1973 to just buzz around the area !! A Great airplane.
I flew the 206 for a couple years in all kind of different environments from jungle flights to aero photography at high altitudes and after so many years flying all kind of airplanes from single up to airliners I consider the 206 the most versatile and strong aircraft and a dream airplane for any Pilot thanks for this great video.
Thanks Luis. Cool perspective. It's an extremely capable airplane!!
Damn, this is amazing, can't wait to never be able to afford to own it.
Great airplane! I have flown the Turbo and non-turbo 205, 206 and 207. Great for the back country and hauling a load. After several hundred hours, only a bad mag on one flight. Very reliable and now, very up to date avionics.
question when they say turbo do they mean turboprop ?
@@royalgreenlantern No. Turbocharged.
Nice demo video on the 206. Charlie. I want one for my sim . Lol
What an awesome plane! Would love to own one!
Nice Plane !....... I leaning a bit towards a Kodiak 100 🤗.... it has room for a hammock when I show up at Oshkosh for the week😆.
Good job!!!
Beautiful aircraft...nice video.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
So awesome thanks
I absolutely love to the T206 and not just because I helped build this exact airplane...
Thanks for sharing
I am so jealous right now!
Wow.. impressive 👌
Beautiful bird!
I will always be a Cessna and Beechcraft fanboy. I first learned in a Cessna and I’ve flown all Beech aircraft so far in Navy training. I hope to own one of these for me and my family before I’m too old.
I’ve done some factory deliveries of t296H’s. Good machines. Burn a lot of fuel to go slow but crossing the sierras at 20,000 makes it worth it. :)
CESSNA DOES A GREAT JOB !
Great explanation
It's like the Suburban of the sky. Definitely fills a niche.
SICK!!!
have most of my hours in a 206. non turbo. in 76 you could rent one wet for 55$ an hour. was a fun aircraft single pilot wise.
Had no clue where any of these airports were at, but as soon as I seen salsa’s right across from the Harps I knew exactly where you were at. 🤣
Greetings from Cape Town. I have 2 Cessna 206’s the F and the G model, but have flown the G1000 normally aspirated model as well. Mine have the Continental IO550N56B crossflow engine installed (Atlantic Aero STC) and cargo pods. Full tanks 6 people, no problem. I used to own a C182 as well.
I love your channel and videos. I would love to see you compare a SR22 to a Cessna!
Thank you! I'm hoping to do that too. Stay tuned.
Arkansas looks amazing, the airplane is awesome as well
The prices for these new Cessna’s are nuts but so is the SR-22T at like $1.2M. Yikes.
That fly by at tree top level will be very bumpy! Nice new 206.
The 206 is my dream. I can confirm, Gaston's is awesome.
All Pilots kissing their headset Mic. Nice video!
It's not just the winds it's The thermals from the darker patches of ground cover emitting a higher temperature or heat radiation that's really where you get the bouncing from more than the wind. But that's wind and thermals combining together to create what is defined by turbulence
I love Cessna. I like to think that maybe in the future I will have a Cessna 210, or maybe wven one of these 206s...
or maybe a 175...
or a 182...
I just like 4-6 seat Cessnas
Fantastic aircraft that does the mission it’s built for and more. Just can’t understand the current price tag on it, $750k? I feel like that’s a bit absurd especially for an aircraft that is good but isn’t much more than a slightly larger 182. You can buy significantly more capable aircraft for a lot less.
Extremely large price tag for an aircraft with pulleys and levers, aluminum frame, and the same cockpit avionics package as a 172S.
No doubt an extremely capable plane but just doesn’t offer anything else beyond being good at its mission coming with a premium price tag.
Flew in to where I Live. Beautiful up here
Thanking tower for the help.
Great 👍 video
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
Sonho consumo 🎉❤
Owned and flew a T206 for a number of years on floats, skis, and oversized and regular tires in Alaska, Canada, and Lower- 48. It is a great plane with a lot of utility, very predictable flight characteristics, and a solid IFR platform. The modern avionics, upgraded oxygen systems, and a/c have taken the aircraft to another level. Well done!
As always your videos are excellent. I am picking up my Cessna T206H August (was suppose to be Jun) and can't wait. Can you tell me what type of iPad mount you where using?
Thanks Dan. Congrats on your purchase, that's awesome! You will have an absolute blast. I talk about the ipad mount here: ruclips.net/video/F-5RyHs6rX8/видео.html
Also awesome in an amphib configuration.
Yo Derek I remember seeing you in the Brand new 182 with the couple of Mo jo
Needs to do a bonanza next!
You had me sold on the 182. Now the 206? I'd love to have one! But, in reality, most all airplanes are so expensive anymore, they are out of reach of the normal wage earner..
Every pilot south of the Rio Grande swears by the 206. She's the real bush plane in hot/high/jungle environments; you won't see taildraggers doing bush work in MEX, COL, or BRA. I saw one in April at AERO 2024 in Friedrichshafen, and she looks like made for me. I hope my bank account is fat enough some day.
The 206T is my dream airplane. I’ll I need is the winning lotto ticket 😂
Great design for hauling into back country. Have over 100 hrs in them.
Very nice! Pretty slow and thirsty, though. It's still the same basic overall design from decades ago, with incremental technological upgrades.
Very nice. I wish Cessna would make 152’s again.
With a Turbo 😊
I wish someone would make this aircraft for MSFS2020!
Hey, what if the door won't close in flight? Ya can't lower the flaps? Hey, great production quality! Right up there with Stevo
Well, I know what Charlie's gettin' for Christmas this year. Dadgum that's one helluva nice Cessna.
you got your 3 landings in 3 months on one pass :)
A box stock 185e with 8.50s will out range it and outrun it below 11,500. I have a lot of experience with this. Too, you can arrive on a rough rocky airstrip. You can try that with this new Cessna, but you will be backordered on wheels and panty parts.
165 knots is really nice!!
When I was a teen and in the aviation club, I had ordered a Cessna brochure and decided that the Turbo Super Skywagon was my choice. This was about 1975. This plane is very similar. But not the price!
Beautiful airplane. I love the G-1000 avionics suite. However, I would never have a plane that burns 100LL. I hope the trend towards Jet-A diesel engines continues to get more usage.
Yeah it seems like such an outdated item now
Yup. Diamond did it, and I bet Cirrus follows soon, but before Textron/Cessna. Once they jump, anything running LL and even UL avgas is a dinosaur. There were LL shortages on the east coast a few months back (hit or miss at various airfields), but Jet-A was plentiful. That will get much worse in a few years, especially since the UL replacement is proprietary (read: expensive and hard to make).
