T. Howard***~> Great choice my man! I love the C7’s. Not if but when I get one I will be looking back after parking her about 37 times. Every time. Just timeless design. Looks just as poppin’ now as it did in 2014. Can’t wait to see the C7 next to a C8.
3 years into owning my Grand Sport and I LOVE it more today than the day I bought it. Still such a fun and amazing car. Glad you had a chance to put it on your channel. I created a bunch of videos on mine. Great video as always. 💪🏼
I like how he always tells The Corvette story his reviews and everything are perfect I may not have the money for my dream car but I like the hype he puts onto these videos props
I don't disagree. The mid-model refresh on most cars is worth the wait. The C7's got the soft close hatch and carplay/android auto in '17...along with a few other udgrades.
Kerbeck sucks, tried to BS me on money factor and then told me to do my homework. Lol yeah I did. Called Macmulkin they were straight with me and offered par rate. When I called them back the mgr tried acting stupid. F them
I too was on the fence for C8 vs. C7. Went down to Kerbeck Corvette in Atlantic City. Test drove the Grand Sport 7spd and took one home the next week. Got me a Shadow Grey metallic 1LT. Put 400 miles on it thus far and just learning how the car drives. Doing 500 mile oil change in a couple of days. Then it's time to really feel the power of the LT1 motor!
I bought my C7 GS last year knowing the C8 was on its way...I can't say I regret the decision...yet. It's been a blast to drive and own. When the C8 Z06 arrives, I may change my tune.😂
Strangely enough the one thing i like the c7 is the back tail lights, coz they look futuristic, round taillights would only date the car really bad if it doesnt match its design language.
Joe, that was such a great review of the 7th-gen Corvette. It’s obvious that you ‘get it’, that you understand how much fun an old-school sports car can be. It’s the end of an era, and I’m sheddin’ a tear here if you know what I mean 😢
Car reduced to $55K but they will offer you $10K LESS than what your trade in is worth. Basically, the car is selling for $65K unless you are paying ALL up front/NO trade ins.
Aw,fer crap's sake, just get the Grand Sport, particularly for those of us who'll never get anywhere close to her. You get all the badass looks and much of the performance of the Z06,without having to worry about losing control of the rear end. Plus, when the C7 is gone, something unique, special and purely All-American will be gone, and gone for good.
Don't love the look of the new C8, but that will probably change once the Z06/ZR1 come out. Until then, the C7 looks better and the Grand Sport in a manual is such a dope sports car
The interior looks very dated. In 2014 it was ok but today it falls short. Prices will plummet in spring and summer when everyone trades in their C7 and the market will be flooded with them. Look for drastic drop in prices for C7s.
In alot of ways I still like the C7 better than the C8. The rear styling, especially those center mounted exhaust outlets is far better. At 55K, it is a steal of a deal. Practical also. Manual is certainly necessary. That sound though!!! RIP C7.
WB Wayne heck yeah...I hate the back of the c8 doesn’t look like a Vette and all the wheel options are horrible for that car🤦🏾♂️ C7 grand sport is the way to go. Handles better than the z06 too.
Great video! It took me months to decide (C7 depreciation with the C8 rollout) but I pulled the trigger in January on one of my dealer's last new 2019 Grand Sports. 2LT Chrome Auto. now parked in my garage. Can't wait till Spring!! 1st. Vette with no regrets!!
$55k!!! This is a steal. Love the black exterior with the black rims. The red leather seats are extraordinary!!! You had lots of fun. I’m jealous!!! 😀 You and big guns are the best!!
Thanks, Joe, another great video. I fulfilled one of my dreams by purchasing my 2019 Grand Sport 2LT in October. MSRP was $76k. I got it for $54k (with some miles on it). Amazing performance bargain that I will enjoy on the street and on the track for many many years. YES this is a sports car that deserves a closer look. The C8 will be much more expensive, especially for the first 12 months with markups.
My C6 Z51 gives me the same thrills every time I drive. It sits in the garage "on call" most of the week and is always ready to perform when called upon on the back roads of North Carolina or the interstates. 😉
Im looking to go back to a vette, but i need a manual, if i get a c8 im afraid i may get tired of it once the mid engine hype dies down, besides i always like the front engine rear drive setup than mid engine, it's more traditional classic sports car design, look at Ferrari, they still make front engine rear drive cars, they know mid engine is better but still keep making them.
I've been watching Corvette videos since I started college and now 7 years later I'm almost done with law school and your damn right the first big purchase I do is a Corvette.
Picked up a 2lt GS Ceramic Matrix gray with Red interior . Zero regrets and nothing but smiles. I can’t imagine using more than 460 HP as a daily driver. Also went to the 2019 Car show in Miami and saw the C8 in person, wasn’t really liking the barebone stingray in person. I’ll wait for C8 z06/GS releases a couple years down the line.
I like the C8 more though. Better interior quality all around, and mid engine exotic feel. However, there is a fire sale on C7’s. I’m thinking as a sports car guy you would get one just for the legacy.
I nailed the price at $55k before you said it! I'm always looking for a preowned corvette and this car is priced for what preowned ones are listing for. Love the sound of that exhaust! Too bad I'm out of garage space!
C7s are still holding some pretty handsome bounties. Probably going to have to wait at least another year or two for more C8s to be produced and sold for the C7s to come down.
The C8 was timed by Edmunds at 3.4 secs 0-60 before a +0.2 sec DA adjustment. Thats 0.8 secs slower, or 190 HP weaker than promised. It also finished last at 24 Hours of Daytona by a distance equal to half the United States. Huge flop.
$55k seems like an excellent deal! I paid $50k for my 2014 F350 King Ranch, 2 years ago. If my truck was paid off, I'd consider driving down from Georgia, to buy it.
Another awesome video review. I love the C7 GS cars. They are probably my all-time favorite sports cars. Along with the AC Cobra 427's. Thanks for the reviews. Much appreciated.
I bought my new C7 Grand Sport in white with a manual last Saturday at a steep discount below MSRP. Couldn't be happier! Might have been a harder choice if the C8 came in a manual. Love the layout and design of the C7 :)
I’ve done my homework on this very question. C8 pro, it puts the power down very well, and two, great transmission ( so far ). Cons, tail wag entering the corner, mid corner understeer ( tight ) and then snaps to oversteer on exit ( no smooth transition) these are all typical of a mid engine car. Chevy has at least a couple years of tuning and updating to do on the C8. Another con for us guys that do their own work, it’s going to be a nightmare to work on. Once all the C8 hype is gone, it’s not going to be all that popular
I've never been a fan of the Corvette through the years. Then comes the C7 and I said FINALLY a 'Vette I really like. Then they move to the C8 and back I go again.
If you live a little more north on the eastern seaboard, come to Turner Chevrolet in Harrisburg, PA. We still have a few new 2019 Corvettes plus a Certified Pre-owned 2019 Stingray. Make sure you ask for Brandon Ross in Sales!
It comes down to this. Want the last example of the Vette born in the 20th century or the first example of the 21st century Vette? As someone who once bought the last Norton Commando motorcycle before the classic brand died, I can understand the appeal of the former. On the other hand, the C8 Corvette is an extraordinary vehicle, an American "exotic" for the masses. (Well, that's a bit of a stretch but you get the point.) Pay your money and make your choice.
Two thumbs up, Joe. Another outstanding review. I guess the old school that I am, makes me prefer that C-7 over the new C-8. My favorites are the C-4 vettes, especially the later models, 1994-96, but I'd settle for that C-7!! Keep em comin' Joe, thanks.
If I were in the market for a left over C7 Grand Sport, I would most definitely avoid purchasing the one on this video. Unfortunate to see a car treated like that before the 500 mile break in for test drives.
very interesting reading the comments below. i just could not see how the c7 would sell after seeing the c8 but apparently some still want them. good for them.
So much for breaking periot 🤣🤣🤣 I love it.... this is probably the best Corvette for track for a regular guy, I'll leave the Z06 or Zri for a professional driver.
$55k for a base model Grand Sport isn’t a good deal. You can get a used fully loaded C7 Z06 for around the same price range. Stealership trying to pull a fast one.
To be honest, I prefer the 2019 Chevy Corvette instead of the new 2020 Corvette. Also... RIP Kobe Bryant (Cause of Death: Helicopter Crash west of Los Angeles) scary for me because I live around the Los Angeles area 😬😬😬
Imo Laguna blue was best color for any c7 > crystal red > arctic white> torch red. Black was best for c6 z06/gs now that looked sinister. C5 was torch red >magna red >arctic white. C1-C4 all Corvettes are red ;)
Bought my stingray last may. I thought about waiting for the c8 but I wanted my Corvette already. I don't regret it, but I do want to get my hands on a C8 some time in the future.
Tbh as much as I want the c7/c8 for a mass produced car the depreciation is killer. For the right price I'd definitely pick up a low mileage used c7 ...but now I've been eyeing used 911 turbos and tbh depreciation won't hurt as bad as there are definitely options out there for cars that have hit their depreciation plateau.
Definitely need a 2lt. Need that heads up....and i would want the comp seats! 2lt gives you like 5 more options. Heads up, heated, cooled seats, navigation, and cameras?
A huge problem apparently existed on the C7 with a grill opening that was too small to get enough air into the car to cool all the systems. Apparently thos special wheels have a problem of being a very bad wheel. Over time, the bend and the tires leak air from these Corvette wheels. The wonderful quad exhaust that are perfectly round certainly would have loved the round tail lights that likely would have cost more to produce than the newer tail light design. Frankly it is difficult to design pleasant tail lights with the Corvette/Camaro tail light design. But I disagree with you: the C8 tail lights look much better. Because of the modified look, the "C" of, "Corvette,", kind of shows in the tail lights, whether intentional or not. The hoses all over the place that leak to all of those coolers/radiators are also an issue. Once the warranty expires, the owner could be toast. Nice looking gear lever though.
Hell yeah if you got the scratch. Look at that damn thing!!! Mid engine is going to be here and I'll be honest... I wouldn't grab a first year, being that The mid engine design is so far out of the Chevy wheelhouse. Give the mid a couple of years... I think if they have some awesome dealios, makes it a perfect time. I think the Grand sport is the most versatile too, what a great car Man!! I would buy one in a second if I had money to burn. Okay my edit. 55k! Holy smokes man!! I may need to go look at this. I wonder if I can find a manual GS in that $. I just bought my Veloster N in April 19, I'm afraid I'd take a bit of a loss on that, but due to the savings on the c7 it would be tolerable I think, lol!! I'd have to sell my car first probably, so I could put a hefty down payment, I wouldn't want to finance that much and then try to sell my car... I'd probably do something stupid like keep them both 😂. Jesus Christ Joe, I'm going to have to stop watching vids!!
Considering there are extremely low mileage C7 Z06s readily available for $60k (or less), in my humble opinion, it's really hard to justify buying a Grand Sport.
I personally like the looks of the c7 over the c8...just looks more sleek and classy. The c8 is a little too much for me.
Its always like that in the beginning. The c8 will grow on you
cargo space in the c7 is more practical too.
-bitch boy
Jose Lopez what?
Honestly... I agree... I was hyped at first and impressed at the same time, but I decided to just purchase c7 z06. There is not a single regret on my decision.
I knew the insane C8 was on the way, but I bought one of the last C7s anyway. Grand Sport with manual trans. Zero regrets! 😁
congratulations
Thanks Eddie
T. Howard Smart buy. The C8 is not offered with a stick. Also, a high chance of the rear vision glass leaking.
T. Howard***~> Great choice my man! I love the C7’s. Not if but when I get one I will be looking back after parking her about 37 times. Every time. Just timeless design. Looks just as poppin’ now as it did in 2014. Can’t wait to see the C7 next to a C8.

I'm not saying the c8 is ugly, but the c7 just looks better. good proportions and just has that classic sports car look.
Totally agreed, C7 looks way better
100% agree
Y’all are trippin, c8 looks way better
Looks like a grade schooler designed it
3 years into owning my Grand Sport and I LOVE it more today than the day I bought it. Still such a fun and amazing car. Glad you had a chance to put it on your channel. I created a bunch of videos on mine. Great video as always. 💪🏼

Wow 55 is a great price I’m gonna purchase one in March when I retire and been shopping online for sometime now and this is best price so far
Corvette life 🏁
Lucky dawg,make it happen 🤘💪👍
Awesome man! I love my C7 Grand Sport. Was shopping online for a while, then I test drove it. Couldnt come home without it. You'll love!
I think some of the manual transmission Z06 cars would be a decent purchase. Some of those can be had for less than $70k.
Agreed. There are some great values in the market place right now.
You can get an M7 z06 for much less than $60,000
@@gamecity223 Brand new you can't. Love to see your source link for that claim.
@@jamievidd775 new no. Lightly used yes. Most ppl baby these things so there is little difference, let someone else take that HUGE depression hit
If one wants manual, absolutely 👍🏼
This is true!
If I got one, it would have to be with the 7-speed manual. Kudos to GM for at least having one cool car.
Man your reaction says it all. Gotta love the c7, the pinnacle of the front engined corvette
You are absolutely correct! Love my Grand Sport. Just a capable vehicle right out of the box! Miles of smiles 😎
id buy the c7 before a new c8 let everyone be the lab rat on the c8 !

It's a beautiful car. My hubby had a C5. It was too low to the ground for me. It was his daily driver and made driving to work enjoyable.
I bought my C8 from Raheel. Great salesman, no pressure, knowledgeable, overall top notch guy. So yes people ask for Raheel.
Can’t lie love the C7 but I’d personally have buyers remorse every single time I seen or thought about the C8 🤣🤣
It will be interesting to see how this whole thing turns out!

Take a look at the scenery, ;-)

Tbh as much as I want the c7/c8 for a mass produced car the depreciation is killer. For the right price I'd definitely pick up a low mileage used c7 ...but now I've been eyeing used 911 turbos and tbh depreciation won't hurt as bad as there are definitely options out there for cars that have hit their depreciation plateau.
Definitely need a 2lt. Need that heads up....and i would want the comp seats!
2lt gives you like 5 more options. Heads up, heated, cooled seats, navigation, and cameras?
I would. Love the Grand Sport.
Meeeee Toooooo!
Nice videos love that c7. RIP Kobe
Wait until C8 comes out and then buy the C7 Z06!!!
Wait for the C8 Z06
If it was a manual for that price I think Joe would have been tempted
Charlie Kerbeck has over 100 C7s in stock including Z06s.
This is so very true Walter!
Considering there are extremely low mileage C7 Z06s readily available for $60k (or less), in my humble opinion, it's really hard to justify buying a Grand Sport.
I’m looking for a used c7 30k 🤟
