He's very close to getting the C8, but he's patient and the Zo6 is still turning heads when he brings it out ! That Grand Sport looks vicious ! 👍 ✌
I saw this video a little over 3 years ago. And ever since I’ve been rubbing my quarters together, dreaming of owning a corvette. And two days ago, I finally drove a 2000 c5 manual home with my father. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and shows me that dreams really do come true.
To be honest Raiti, I would take the C7 over the C8 and its not over the performance but its looks, function and nostalgia. The black you have in this video is just angry looking. For the $$ you are definitely correct on this one.

The interior is where you’ll be spending most of your time, so it better look nice, which it really does in the C8. On top of that it also has super car performance
Im with you. I want to like the C8 but I find myself trying too hard. I keep waiting for it to grow on me, but it's not. It's close but it's missing something. Hopefully the C8 GS and Z06 make those tweeks.
It took me a year to come around to the c8. I saw in person on its first stop after the reveal and I was like the porsche turbos gt3s and c7z/ zr1s in the parking lot look better than this! Interior was a different story. Now I feel the c8 looks better over base c7. At least the c7 (if I'm not mistaken for the c8) can be put into neutral without a $600 tool and taken apart some of the frunk if the battery is dead like in the c8!
Just a minor correction, the front bumper cameras are for parking, the Performance Data Recorder camera sits on top of the rear-view mirror, top of windshield.

I'm sure now is a great time to buy the C7... since most people won't want them compared to the C8. The C8 basically turned the corvette into an exotic supercar- a supercar at a pricepoint that the middle/upper-middle class can actually afford.
In an effort to boost sales, GM goes back to front engine for the C9, then mid engine for the C10 again, then back to the front for the C11 and so on. Customers are seen burning corvettes in the street.

As I've said before in your vids, I bought a 2016 Z06. It is phenomenal. The Grand sport would be awesome too, for the reasons you stated. I like the looks of the C7 better than the C8. Much respect for the C8'S performance.
My humble opinion; front-engined corvettes are the only way to go. That Grand Sport is far sexier to me, than the C-8. Thanks, Joe. My favorite of all Corvettes for the balance. I bought a 2019 GS last year, and I track it, and love it. However, you got a few specs wrong...it offers a 7-speed manual (you said 6), and it weighs 3450 lbs (you said 3600), and the front rotors are 14.6" (you said 15.6"), and you referenced Z51, which is a package for the standard Sitngray, not Grand Sport. I also wanted you to point out and show the rear hatch area...it's huge. Another advantage the C7 has over the C8. You can fit four golf bags in the hatch of a C7. Great for long road trips, too.

I bought my 2019 Grand sport last November with 5081 miles on it, also at the same price point, and its everything you sad it is! The only difference i got was then artic white with the adrenaline red seats...I can't even tell you how many comments I have had....!

So my dream Vette was a Grand Sport and still is, however, I love my 1LT 2019 C7. I just got back from the mountains of N Ga, Tail of the Dragon and TN and it is my 4th sports car to take up there. It was by far the best car I have driven up there and I could only imagine how much better the GS would have been. Sadly I couldn't afford one when I got my Vette but I still got a Vette and that matters. I still plan on getting a C8 in a few years though.
I have a C7 2019 GS just like this. I love it. The only issue is GM put poorly made wheels that crack easily. I've already had to replace 3 wheels. Basically expect to buy aftermarket rims. The cabin is also very loud. Buyer beware.
The GS is my favorite C7. I was very disappointed to find out the C8 will not offer a GS model. Of course the C8 Z06 is going to be equipped with that new flat plane crank V8, so it's without a doubt going to replace the C7 GS as my favorite Corvette. Can't wait until it's here, and you are able to review it.
I do love the C7 design over C8. My buddy has C8, great car, but something about that batmobile looking C7. I really am going to try to get one soon..manual of course!

It’s still an amazing machine which has dated relatively well even with the refresh zo6 c8. Definitely worth it and it’s a corvette at a bargain as well

Actually going to look at a 2019 Grand Sport today. Decided the wide doors of a C8 won't work in my garage. I've got about 30" next to my car for entry and the doors are hugely wide and when open any allow about 8" for entry to car.

I know they are limited compared to others I spent years in loaner cars , while all my Cadillacs broke down regularly. If they put just a touch of this craftsmanship .I would have been content

No. The model which will be most sought after in years to come is the 7 litre (427) Z06 which I bought. No superchargers, no turbos, no gizmos....just pure American muscle.
I would rather prefer the grand sport over the Z06 just on fact that the grand got track tuned suspension and a wider wheel base along with wider wheels I can sacrifice 250 horsepower for agility.
I'll be curious to see if there'll be a 75th anniversary edition in 2028. That Gran Sport is what I'd spend my money on. Even Randy Pobst said it's the most usable Corvette. Best balanced as far as power and handling.
I love the C7 more than C8. My only complaint is that with too much power still I am not able to enjoy the power. Car keeps drifting and I am not able to get fast 0 to 60 most of the time. Before everyone jumps on me 😅 I am not a super skilled driver nor do I take my car to track. My point is that even average person should be able to enjoy the power of the car. I really wish they would come up with all wheel drive optional. Apart from that this car looks better than most 300k+ super car. Sounds great , drives great 👍🏻.
I love my 2017 Grand Sport, but any discussion about the 2017-2019 GS or Z06 should include information about the wheel issues (cracking and bending) they’re having. I went to after market wheels because I didn’t want to have to think about it.

I drove a 2015 base corvette with a manual, the clutch was like a on / off switch. Other than the clutch it was fun, too low for me with all the SUV's & trucks on the road.

I love the C7 more than C8. My only complaint is that with too much power still I am not able to enjoy the power. Car keeps drifting and I am not able to get fast 0 to 60 most of the time. Before everyone jumps on me 😅 I am not a super skilled driver nor do I take my car to track. My point is that even average person should be able to enjoy the power of the car. I really wish they would come up with all wheel drive optional. Apart from that this car looks better than most 300k+ super car. Sounds great , drives great 👍🏻.

I love my 2017 Grand Sport, but any discussion about the 2017-2019 GS or Z06 should include information about the wheel issues (cracking and bending) they’re having. I went to after market wheels because I didn’t want to have to think about it.
Wheels as in rims? If so that’s crucial to know

Zr1 is the greatest vette ever..but boy c7 stingray is a special..However I am just fine with my c6

I do prefer the looks of this over the C 8 . Just my preference
I drove a 2015 base corvette with a manual, the clutch was like a on / off switch. Other than the clutch it was fun, too low for me with all the SUV's & trucks on the road.
