My dream car since I was a little kid has FINALLY come true. 40 yrs later, I purchased a 2015 Z51 with 4k miles on it..When I saw it, I snatched it up QUICK. Will be delivered 2mro. Can't wait🔥🔥🔥
So for those that actually Know what's going on in the Vette world, understand just how much a Carbon65 is going to run you. With that said, I could have custom ordered a 3LZ Z06 Fully tricked/optioned out and still spent Less than I did my Grand Sport. Not bragging, but to prove your point from an owner and a relatively young buyer of Corvette. I Test drove the Z06 more than once. I test drove all 3 models (Stingray, and GS). My money landed on the simple fact that I knew I was skilled enough to use about 70% of what the GS has to offer while only being capable of using about 40% of what the Z06 can deliver. My pride is in check so I don't care about having the most HP on the street. And the truth is, your only the fastest till the next level/generation Vette pulls up. My C7 GS is faster than the C6 Z06 round the track and it actually has 40 less HP. More on that in my own vlog. The GS is a murderer in the hands of a capable driver. The Z06 is a suicide machine in the hands of the inexperienced. At the end of the day, I'll take a stock Vette of any trim over any stock machine Ford or Dodge has to offer. You will be faster than just about anything pulling up to you at a stoplight on your way to and from the grocery store 😉👍🏾
Z06 is scary only if you are not familiar with how it reacts to different conditions. It will take a few years to get to know it like the back of your hand. If you master it then it is like addiction to adrenaline, you can never have enough of it. Don’t just start with the most HP, you might just scare yourself and scar you for life. I started out with a 400 hp LS2 and drove it for 5 years. After a while I figured that it wasn’t enough power for me, so I went and got a 505 hp C6 Z06 and been driving it for almost 5 years and started looking for more hp. Now I’m just waiting for the C7Z06 price to come down before I get one in the used market.... or maybe a C6 ZR1.
@@PB0Y1834 Unless you take your car to the track, you simply cannot use the power of the ZO6. I have a "mere" Stingray Z51 and it has more power than I'll ever use on the street. When I went to the Ron Fellows Performance Driving Course in an identical car, I was driving faster than I've ever driven in my life ... why would I want more? Oh, I see ... so I can brag about my car and pay a lot more for insurance and registration! Great idea!
Fantastic videos. I will say this. Took me about 2 years to really get a solid handle on my 2016 Z06. BUT.. after 2 years I still get excited to drive it... it was also the first car I paid cash for... I dont regret a nickel of it
Excellent presentation on the Grand Sport, Chuck! And thanks for including Tribute and GS-63 in the video! :) For those interested in purchasing a new Corvette, I can't give a higher recommendation for Mike Furman. I ordered Tribute (my 2017 Grand Sport) from Mike and it was by far the best Corvette purchase experience I have ever had (I've owned 19 Corvettes over the last 12 years). Mike kept me in the loop weekly as my order made it's way through the process. He makes the whole experience fun and trouble free. Mike has been selling Corvettes for 40 years this year, passed the 4,000 new Corvettes sold mark earlier in the year, and is the #1 Corvette salesman of all time. He has also personally owned 18 or 19 Corvettes as well. And for those with a Corvette to trade in, he can provide sight unseen trade in values for you. After my personal experience with Mike, I vowed to never order a new Corvette from anyone else...and I live in SW Oklahoma. He's that good!
Had my 2018 Grand Sport 3lt for about 4 weeks ago. I am in my late seventies and have had countless numbers of cars. This is my personal favorite of all time. I tend to use it's power. It's a little unstable over 200 mph, hahaha.
I got my car. 2019 grandsport 5k miles it's literally like new. I love it a bunch of aftermarket parts I've already put into it. Worth the 72k I paid hands down
Totally agree! I’ve owned 5 Corvettes. 2 C3s, 2 C6s and my last one is a 2017 Grand Sport. I liked the Stingray, but preferred the wider body like the Z06. Had absolutely no need or desire for the Supercharger in the Z06. I had nothing to prove because the car already speaks for itself. The Grand Sport is the perfect balance for me. I had to choice to special order whatever Corvette that I wanted and I chose the Grand Sport. I am in heaven, happy and have absolutely no regrets!!
I traded my 2017 Hellcat on a GS. I love that the power is useable. coming from the Hellcat with 707hp the GS is a perfect car in that respect. besides this car can be modified to be just about anything you want it to be and still stay south of the cost of the ZO6. with in reason.
I love all corvettes, when I decided to trade in my C6 I test drive both the Z06 and the GS twice with my son. We both preferred the GS and that’s what I purchased. Like Chuck said, just a matter of personal preference. Great review Chuck!
I Think you hit the nail on the head with this review! Not everybody wants 600+ horses due to intimidation or what have you. Think the GS is perfect for a lot of people! Especially those of us who are somewhat "Rookies" to the sports car world.
Great Video! Thumbs up on the Grand Sport history! I've never owned a Z06 or ZR1, but upgrading from my C6 coupe to the C7 Grand Sport was well worth it. Loved the C6, but I enjoy driving the GS so much more. It's the perfect balance between looks, performance and value. Keep the videos coming Chuck. Always look forward to your content.
Great vlog Chuck. I ordered and purchased my 2017 Grand Sport Convertible from Rick Conti. This was my first Corvette experience and I HIGHLY recommend him. Rick Conti knows his Corvettes and steered me to some options I would have never thought about. Rick even made my experience a part of his RUclips channel. I will always remember that day. Save the wave! Greyhound Rich
Hi Chuck. Thanks for another great video. I am a 2017 GS owner and for me the GS is a great all around car. It has all of the handling of a Z06, with the wider tires and stance, plenty of power for having fun, and the great wide body looks. The only time I have come close to using all of the 460 BHP was at the Ron Fellows school. And even there I did not feel I needed more. In fact one of the school instructors told me that on the Corvette track layout, the GS is less than 1/2 second slower than the Z06 with the instructors driving. I still love the Z06 and even more so the ZR1, but for me I am really happy with my 2017 Grand Sport.
John Os Bought my first corvette ever today and it's a 2017 black on black Grand Sport with the 2LT. The car was absolutely babied and never even seen any rain. I'm more than excited and at 56 years of age, I thought it was time LOL
Hi Chuck, Great job--very informative. My daily driver is a 2016 Stingray and I can't get enough of it--just the right amount of power balanced with superb handling. However, you just may have convinced me to move up to a GS--that collector's edition is a real beauty. Thanks again and Happy Father's Day!
I wanted a C7, tried to fit in one, but at 6-4 and 230, it was a tight fit... really tight. So for my 65th birthday, I settled on a bigger bodied 2012 GS convertible and as my first Corvette. You speak logic and practical thoughts -- enjoyed your post Chuck. Enjoy that C7!
I’ve got a Z51 7 Speed manual. I love it! Don’t need more than 460 hp. I can break my tires loose easily in 3rd gear. Plenty of power. And with magnetic shocks it handles great too.
Hey Chuck, I have a 2017 Torch Red Grand Sport. You have posted a few of my Corvette pictures. This video is spot on. I agree with everything you said about the Grand Sport. I looked at the Z06 but though the GS was the best buy of all the Corvettes available. Thanks
I am from Saudi Arabia I have same car the collector edition This car is fantastic never feeling boring, it is correct the more you drive it the more you like it
I lucked out on my first Vette buy. I knew nothing about Corvette's other than the name. I didn't know models nor did my salesman, I found out, after buying my pre-owned C7 2014 in Nov 2016. After having it about a week, I discovered thru the VIN# that it was a Z51 3LT! That's when I began my homework on Corvette's bottom to top. November 2020 I traded it in for another Z51 but with the 2LT package. I miss the 3LT but still no regrets. Very similar. A GS would be nice but the price difference was too much for my budget. But I love the Z51. Manageable power, as you said, and awesome handling.
Like you mentioned, the power in the GS is more usable than the supercharged variants. I have had my 2019 GS for only 3 weeks but I am totally satisfied with my purchase.
J'ai une Corvette 2015 ,commandé en janvier 2015 et recu en mai 2015 , Z51 , 3LT , transmission automatique , siege de compétition , roues chromées , rouge extérieur et beige intérieur , and i love it ...
True as I went in to order a new Stingray and left in a Z06, damn salesman... Right colors and all the options plus some I didn’t even know about for a good price.
Chuck, I can definitely tell from your little bit of difficultly in finding the words to describe the Grand Sport driving experience that you have felt that “sweet spot” in the C7 line up. When I decided on buying a C7 I searched every dealer’s inventory within 300 miles and found my 2017 GS less than an hour away. While I had not yet found out completely about gentlemen like Rick Conti, I was able to negotiate a great deal that Rick’s 2017 inventory and prices did not beat until the 2019s came out. While I was not hung up on the cost so much as finding the right car for me, the benefits of the GS are plentiful as you enumerated, which are the big reasons I chose to go with a GS: the wide body looks, upgraded grip because of the wider tires, plenty of manageable power. I realize that I don’t have the most HP on the street or in the C7 family, but there will always be someone that has more HP or says their car is faster... but unless you live your life at a track or drag strip, driving this model in normal life is fun at any speed. I don’t drive it every single day, but I want to... when I do, there is not a trip that does not turn heads or solicit positive comments. The hash marks, the aggressive styling and the design of the C7 certainly to me, make it the perfect choice for someone who wants a corvette but is looking less for raw power (that you probably can’t use 99% of the time) but more for a fun car to drive anywhere with looks that match.
Chuck you are the man you keep putting out exceptional videos with lots of useful information I get so tired of hearing people say the Grand Sports is a fake Z06 the definition of a fake ZO6 would be a Grand Sport that someone put ZO6 badges on.
I'm in the process of upgrading my suspension on my C5 and with half of it done already it's really become fun to drive, really like your videos very educational informative.
The best point about Grand Sport is the power is not scary. It looks as beautiful as anything on the road and it's within a manageable budget. You get the best of all world's. I love my Grand Sport. Great video Chuck and thanks to you and CC&T for showing love to the GS! Vettes, Vettes and more Vettes!
Great video as always. Love my Z06 but she is a hand full. If you don't like a little "that could have been bad" in your life then stay away from the Z06. I am a racer and have spent many days on the track. I feel like I really know how to "handle" a performance vehicle and as such the seat of my pants tells me "careful their cowboy" almost every time I drive. But, that's what I love about it. I am a little bit of an adrenaline junky. I want that back end dancing, it's exciting! If you want a fast but confident car the GS is a better buy. It's like the 06 doesn't know its own power or at least the tires say"nope thats not what you learned in physics class...I am going to slip now"...lol Bottom line they are all great, just pick the one that fits you best. You won't be sorry. I love the white 17 06. The red stipe is the bomb.
Great vid. I see many commenting on performance and true. Many that buy Vette's do not track them. Many do.... So no Vette will use 100% of the power they have on streets. Public roads suck these days. That said, like you said "buy the Vette you want"! I like the ZO6 and GS and Ferrari's, Lambo's and others. No need to explain why a person bought any of them.... It's a Vette and USA. I work with many from other countries. A Vette is only a dream in those countries. Thank God for the USoA. My first Vette was back when I was in my low 20's. Last of the Stingray's until recently. Loved it and way slower than today, still loved it. Would I buy another 76, nah but others would, it's a Corvette. I was a kid and my first time seeing one in person was the split window, then a 70 LT1. Still looks amazing. So my next will be a ZO6 or GS. I like the fact the ZO6 is in your face drive but the GS is sweet too. The C8 still trying to get my mind for it. It does look cool in person however. Never drove one yet.
about to be a first time corvette owner, this video is awesome. i love a z06 (who doesn't) but for me its about budget. this video has helped me decide for a grand sport over a z51 stingray. thanks for the info
I bought my 2019 GS from Rick Conti and I love the car. It has the looks and 460hp is plenty. Honestly most my driving is in town at 25-35 mph. Keep the great Vlogs coming Chuck. Great job.
I did as much research as I possibly could before buying my '18 Grand Sport, and the term I ran across more than any other was the one you used..."sweet spot." I definitely didn't need all of the HP the Z06 offered, but I loved the body style and the extras that were standard on a GS. It made it an easy decision for me. And while I didn't purchase from either Rick or Mike (a GS equipped exactly as I wanted became available locally), both were very helpful during my decision-making process...especially Mr. Conti, who I - like you - count as a friend.
I’ve owned two C6’s and one of them was a Grand Sport Convertible 3LT which was a great car. I just purchased a C7 Grand Sport Coupe and I am becoming more familiar with it day by day. All three Corvettes that I’ve owned have been great cars. Next(my wish list) will likely be a ‘65-‘67 C2 Coupe and/or a ‘68-‘69 C3 Convertible. I still love the style of the old Vettes. The one thing that I don’t care for thus far with the C7 is getting in and out of the car. At 6’2”+ it’s a little awkward but once I’m in, the C7 GS is very comfortable to drive and a real beauty to look at as well!
I will actually be test driving a grand sport to see if I’m going to purchase but chuck you made it clear that sometimes it’s not all about hp but performance and the way the vehicle handles and how responsive it is. I was looking for reviews but I’m glad I clicked on your video it opened up my eyes more about the grand sport .
I totally agree about the Grand Sport, I love driving it. I also owned a C7 Z06 and a Collector Edition Grand Sport Convertible at the same time and I preferred driving the GS. The Grand Sport doesn't feel like it's going to kill you one day like the Z06 made me feel. I own an NSX and it is also a joy to drive fast without worrying about acceleration foibles. Traded the Z06 for a Cayman GTS but the ZR1 did call out to me..... Waiting on the C8.
I purchased a 1992 Corvette convertible last year as a 'retirement toy' for myself. Absolutely love the car have no regrets for making that investment. Now that I have the 'Corvette bug'; a new Grand Sport is definitely under consideration. What to do with the '92? Keep it as a 'classic' or pass it on to another family member. Now that I own a Corvette in my opinion it has to be be best sports car buy on the planet. I agree that the Grand Sport model is the best balance between performance and and a sensible driver for the road.
I think you hit the nail on the head Chuck. There are some that like the Stingray body BECAUSE of the narrow body lines. With the Z51 package, you get the upgraded suspension and brakes with what I consider to be a more refined and elegant body. I prefer the Stingray without all those wide body tacky trim pieces around the wheelwells up front etc. I agree with you that Rick Conti is the MAN.
I just bought a stingray and am very happy with it. My thought process was I could get a used stingray and a Tahoe for less than a used Z06. Your wife’s Vette is very nice.
Another great video, Chuck !.. I received my 2018 Z06 three months ago, and must confess...I enjoy every second behind the wheel..! Have a blessed week, too.
Chuck, I also have a LT1 in my 17 Camaro 2SS, I’ve never owned a car with as much hp as the LT1 puts out. Coming from a 2010 Camaro, the 2017 feels like a race car in comparison. One day, I’ll be behind the wheel of a ZR1!!! For the price, the ZR1 has more hp than most Ferraris and Lambos, unless you’re willing to spend more than a half million. I’m making preparation to attain the rides I want in my future, and I know God has many doors of prosperity planned for my future; I just have to be willing and obedient to walk through them with faith. Have a blessed weekend, and God bless you brother!!!
After I totaled my red 17-ZO6/ZO7, I bought a 2LZ ZO6 which listed for $92861.00 - I bought for $76616. I didn’t need the carbon brakes because I don’t track it. And I had a balancing problem on the carbon ceramic brakes that the dealer could never fix OR they never put much effort into the problem. Anyway- its all a personal preference. See you in Allen on the 23rd!
Great video as usual. You convinced me to buy a Grand Sport. Got mine from Macmulkin in New Hampshire. Saved almost $10 of the MSRP. 2019 long beach red 7M 2lt. It was a pleasure dealing with them. They store all their vettes inside. Over 100+.
@@rangered2010 I emailed them exactly what I wanted. They replied with the discount off MSRP (mine is 15% off for a GS, non-z07) and the steps I needed to take. I ordered a few weeks ago and I am having it delivered to the museum. No hidden fees. $11k+ below MSRP.
Nice review and I agree with you. The GS is the ideal car in the Corvette portfolio for me. It has all the aggressive exterior pieces with enough horsepower. 460 horsepower is more useable with great balance.
Great vid Chuck. At the risk of repeating myself, it's not always how fast you get from Point A to Point B, but how you look getting there. lol Okay, okay, how you sound getting there matters too. 😎 Save the Wave.
I went from a 2014 Z51 to a 2016 Z06 and love my car. But I will admit the 460 HP car was a lot less nerve racking to drive. Both of mine were and are manual trans. the shear difference between a down shift to 4th and nail it. The Z51 was all go right now. The Z06 is like, I might just break the rear tires loose on you are you paying attention mister. I love them both but the Z06 demands your full attention any time you decide to play with that right foot. So I can see the GS appeal for sure.
Hey Chuckles! Thanks for the ride & info. Beautiful video shots as always too. Not sure if I will ever let go of my '05. It makes about 30 more HP above factory number of 400 HP. More than enough to make daily driving fun! Great job again my friend! HAPPY Father's day! 👍😎🏁
Hey Chuck, Going thru your videos and picking up some great info since I have been out of the hobby for about 15 years. 6 weeks ago we purchased our Vette a 2013 C6 60th anniversary Grand Sport 3LT and we love it. So joined our local Corvette Club ....Corvette Club of Richmond and it’s like we didn’t miss a beat. One of the great things about Corvette is the community, great people like yourself. I recently sent you pics of our car and realized I hadn’t identified myself ....Bob from Richmond Va. Keep up the video content...
I’ve had my grand sport for just about a year now and it’s a lot of fun it attracts looks. Is stable and quick but you get used to the speed very quickly. Especially now in days when 450 horsepower is considered slow. So I’ll be modifying it soon. And bring it up to at least 550 hp. If it’s still too little then I’ll be going balls to the wall and doing a full engine build
I disagree I never liked the hash marks. The grand sport for me is a de-tuned Z06. I’d rather have the HP of the Z06. Sounds like there won’t even be a C8 grand sport.
@@craigthescott5074 The GS isnt de-tuned…it’s a different engine setup…a de-tuned engine is normally when a engine is tones down due to computer programming…not by having no supercharger in comparison to engines that do…
Hello Professor Chuck. Great video. You are spot on with today's lesson. You should paint the wife's front calipers tension blue to match the fender hash stripes. IMO. Thanks for all you do. Have a blessed week.
I will definitely ask for your help upcoming this summer... ready to get my first one and the grand sport is just right overall. I want the looks and 460 hp is way more than I need! Keep up the great channel
Another awesome vlog Chuck!! Totally agree on the GS, this vette is truly amazing!! Rick Conti is the guy to contact. He made buying from out of state a snap! I decided to fly into Columbus Ohio, from Vermont to take delivery last fall. Rick made sure everything was perfect, as I had a "few" requests. It's a must to subscribe to his channel, just to stay up to date in the corvette market place! When the wheels fall off my '17 GS, I'll give my business to Rick for sure, no questions asked!!!
I believe you’re absolutely right, I have a 2019 grand sport that was made at the end of the model year and it’s more than enough car for me . PS I personally don’t see that the additional 200 hp that the Z06 has is that terribly much faster than the grand sport, it’s definitely faster but for 200 extra horsepower I would think that it would be significantly faster, and it’s not !
I bought the grandsport for the exact reasons you pointed out. It's so damn fun to drive and plenty fast to get you in trouble lol. Shes fast and sexy and I dont regret not getting Z06 at all. Great video bud 👍
Great video, been trying to decide between Z06 and Grand Sport, still up in the air, traded my C6 in 14, can't wait to get another Corvette. Keep up the great work, been enjoying them all.
Hey Chuck, I daily drive my 2016 Z51 & love it!! I had thought about a GS but wasn't sure if it would be as practical, if that makes any sense.... I bought from Rick Corvette Conti gr8 experience!! I'm still thinking about the GS... 🤔
I wish I would of waited for a good deal on grand sport, but when stingray came out 2013, I was smitten and had to have it. Almost 5 years later, love the car, little to almost no problems just service bulletins. Oil changes cost just as much as my 4 cylinder honda. Sips gas when it wants to, goes when you smash the gas 8/10 overall. Only wish it had 2 more seats. But then it would be a Camaro
Hi chuck. Great discussion. I owned a 2012 GS and loved it. Moved up to a c7 2016 Z51 and loved it more. Keep up the great work and thanks for showcasing my 2016 z51. Dragonman New Jersey
Wanting a Viper but also want the ability to drive with the top off...I really enjoyed my '99 RT-10 and miss that feeling. Nothing like top off driving and the rushing wind.
you guys and gals have a look at the track times around the country. The timing difference between the Z06 and GS will surprise you. Great video! have safe fun guys!
Another get video. Very informative for those looking at a new Corvette. I hope someone at GM knows what your doing to inform and and support sales of this vehicle. Thanks again. Someday you'll have to come up to the northeast for an event.
Now i check Grand sport 65 Carbon 2018 brand new but Automatic . And ZO6 completely black new . Really don’t know . And her in Sweden I can drive it only in summer it’s mean 6 months in the garage will be . I love the 65 Carbon edition
I have always been a z06 fan but with the C7 I became a fan of the GS mostly because of the NA motor. I do wish it had more power, to me the best would be a GS with the C6 z06 LS7 in it. The new z06 is great but I prefer NA to boost
Well done comparison video of the Corvette models Chuck and you pretty much hit on all the points as to why I bought my 2019 Grand Sport. I've been hitting a few car shows the past couple weeks and am amazed at the attention the GS draws. Also bought from Rick Conti, good guy and we're fortunate to live only 45 miles from the dealership.
Great vlog Chuck. Very informative. I also agree that the GS is the most balanced model. Price and performance. Since you've owned Z06 and now ZR1, will you be doing the "big boy" version of this video, comparing Z06, Z06 Callaway and ZR1? I'd like to hear your detailed view on this. Have a blessed weekend 👍
Hey Chuck, great information, I could listen to Corvette history all day. I love all the Corvette platforms, but the wider Z06 body style does it for me which is why I add to my Corvette pot on the dail lol. As always awesome video chuck.
Great video Chuck I agree with you a hundred percent on everything you said about the Grand Sport my Stingray is a blast to drive the only thing that held me back from buying a ZO6 or a Grand Sport was a mid-engine coming. If I don't like the Mid Engine when it comes out lol , I plan on buying a Grand Sport.
Really been interested in a C7 GS lately. I started with a heads/cam 04 GTO, had it for 6-7 years. Then moved up to a 14 CTSV (pulley/exhaust), had it for 5-6 years now. Getting the itch for the next thing. I've always been interested in a true two seater + a true sports car. I will speak to the GS power vs a Z06, while i havent drove either, im already pretty sure the GS is the one for me. The GTO made 414whp and was alot of fun. The V makes 550whp and its honestly too fast sometimes. I think the GS will be more than fast enough for me. The Z06 would be overkill. All i would likely do is headers and exhaust (i gotta be loud as heck).
First of all.... manual all day..... and yea.. I dont need 6-700 hp for an everyday driver....unless im racing it... The GS..is definitely the sweet spot.. and that'll be my next Vette.....
Love this vlog love ur wifes Grand Sport. This will be my next vette. For the price u gt all the vettes wrap up into one. U gt looks and plenty of power. I hv a c6 and my ls2 is more than enough power for me. So with 460 hp that will b so much fun. Cant beat a Grand Sport.
Hey Check great video, still shopping for mine. Had my heart set on GS but recently test drove a Z06 and well, as you know pretty addicting. I’d have to move many numbers in my life to make Z06 happen... decisions decisions
For those worried about having less power, can you put a 100 shot of NOS on there for when you think you need more? That way you can enjoy the more efficient V8 of the GS until you want to really hit it. Just a thought?
My dream car since I was a little kid has FINALLY come true. 40 yrs later, I purchased a 2015 Z51 with 4k miles on it..When I saw it, I snatched it up QUICK. Will be delivered 2mro. Can't wait🔥🔥🔥
Congratulations bro!
Dozer Combat Carbon sounds like a pussy to me. “I can’t drive a fast car so I’ll just buy the slower one”
Excellent mature point, balance
@@PB0Y1834 Unless you take your car to the track, you simply cannot use the power of the ZO6. I have a "mere" Stingray Z51 and it has more power than I'll ever use on the street. Fantastic videos. I will say this. Took me about 2 years to really get a solid handle on my 2016 Z06. BUT.. after 2 years I still get excited to drive it... it was also the first car I paid cash for... I dont regret a nickel of it
I'm the proud owner of a 2019 grand sport and I could not be happier, looks and power to spare.
You have two amazing GS’s and thank you for the great comment!!
I had to let go of the vette in my icon, 2013, broke my heart last year...got a 2017 GS coming in next week....cant wait.....Gandolf the Grey is back!
I traded my 2017 Hellcat on a GS. I love that the power is useable. coming from the Hellcat with 707hp the GS is a perfect car in that respect. besides this car can be modified to be just about anything you want it to be and still stay south of the cost of the ZO6. with in reason.
Awesome we are glad to have you my friend. You are totally right the skies the limit on the LT1 👍🏻😎.
Steve Little I think you're correct that the GS is the perfect balance of looks, performance and value.
Awesome thanks for sharing Big Prez 👍🏻😎
Just bought my first vette ever. C7 Z51. Learning lots from your videos...
Awesome congratulations on the new Z51 you are going to have allot of amazing memories in that corvette. cherish them all.
If you are a taller guy no doubt the C7 coup defiantly is a challenge but the convertible like you said is a nice work around.
I’ve got a Z51 7 Speed manual. I love it! Don’t need more than 460 hp. I can break my tires loose easily in 3rd gear. Plenty of power. And with magnetic shocks it handles great too.
My dealer guy is my uncle .... so he always tries to give me the best deal 😊💪🏽
Hey Chuck, I have a 2017 Torch Red Grand Sport. You have posted a few of my Corvette pictures. This video is spot on. I agree with everything you said about the Grand Sport. I looked at the Z06 but though the GS was the best buy of all the Corvettes available. Thanks
I just purchased my first Corvette a base model C6. It was a lifelong dream. Those Grand Sport’s are amazing. That’s the next vet I want.
I am from Saudi Arabia I have same car the collector edition
This car is fantastic never feeling boring, it is correct the more you drive it the more you like it
I lucked out on my first Vette buy.
Félicitations et bonne route!
Awesome comment. Totally on point 👍🏻😎
the cool part of this Chuck is that iam the Grand Sport of my Family iam the middle child. And next to the C7 Z06 this one is my personal favorite
Totally agree
This is the best looking corvette I have ever seen
about to be a first time corvette owner, this video is awesome. i love a z06 (who doesn't) but for me its about budget. this video has helped me decide for a grand sport over a z51 stingray. thanks for the info
I bought my 2019 GS from Rick Conti and I love the car. It has the looks and 460hp is plenty. Honestly most my driving is in town at 25-35 mph. Keep the great Vlogs coming Chuck. Great job.
Awesome thanks for sharing Doug 👍🏻😎
I did as much research as I possibly could before buying my '18 Grand Sport, and the term I ran across more than any other was the one you
used..."sweet spot." I definitely didn't need all of the HP the Z06 offered, but I loved the body style and the extras that were standard on a GS.
It made it an easy decision for me. And while I didn't purchase from either Rick or Mike (a GS equipped exactly as I wanted became available
locally), both were very helpful during my decision-making process...especially Mr. Conti, who I - like you - count as a friend.
G Money a
What’s that, Gregory???
G Money finger check. Sorry.
That automatic shifts awesome, I just love the manual more. But man when that auto hit it hits hard.
I know automatic kills manuals, but will go with the manual.... still on the fence haha
The Chevy auto is not a good transmission, shifts take a second or two.
@@SleepingWolfGaming it’s not about what’s faster, it’s what puts a bigger smile on your face.
You are a true Corvette Ambassador Chuck! I feel like I'm just hanging out with a friend whenever I watch your videos brotha
That’s my goal. I am just a normal guy living a blessed life and sharing the ride. Thanks for being a member of the community
I agree
Boy, that Grand Sport is a BEAUTIFUL car! I love the stitching in the interior and the color of hash Marks!
200 more hp of the z06 isn’t “tacky”.
Congratulations Luc I know you are loving it 👍🏻😎
I'll send you pics very soon...from my "ever sunny" Belgium ! ;-)
Zeb Byrd How do you like the Camaro? I would love a Corvette but my wallet likes Camaros...
Over 100+.
Congratulations glad you got a great deal.
Don Cregar ,
Do you live in the area or away in another state from NH ?
Don Cregar Please tell me how you saved 10K off the price!!!!!!
@@rangered2010 You just have to shop around, discounts range from 5-10 grand depending on the dealer. It may even get better in the next few weeks.
You've about convinced me.Still a Z06 or a ZR1 is so enticing. But you can't use all that power on the street. Blowing mind
Save your money go with the GS. 👍🏻😎
Too funny, Chuck --- I remember saying the same to you regarding the ZR1! I bet you don't regret selling the Black Mamba, tho...right?
Great vid Chuck. At the risk of repeating myself, it's not always how fast you get from Point A to Point B, but how you look getting there. lol Okay, okay, how you sound getting there matters too. 😎 Save the Wave.
Totally agree Peter!! The sound part for sure. 👍🏻😎. Happy Father’s Day my friend
Great comment 👍🏻😎
Chuck, you nailed it! Love the look of the Grand Sport and I figured I would hurt myself with the ZO6. So the Grand Sport is perfect...
In my opinion it’s the best corvette and I have owned them all but the Stingray.
treebrench nobodys ever walked on the moon
@@Corvettes918 i enjoyed your video and always love the vettes. If i was able to get one i would buy one today

Thanks for the video. I am retired USAF and I own a C5, I am looking forward to one day owning a C7 GS!!
I love my 17 GS, it’s at home on the track and can take the corners with ease.
I have Number 315! I LOVE my 2017 GS Collectors Edition.
Hey Chuck,
Going thru your videos and picking up some great info since I have been out of the hobby for about 15 years.

Nice to meet you Bob!! You are correct the community is second to none.
you know youre a faithful subscriber when you can't get that song out of your head....Can't wait...cant wait ....for the next video.
😁
I’ve had my grand sport for just about a year now and it’s a lot of fun it attracts looks. Is stable and quick but you get used to the speed very quickly. Especially now in days when 450 horsepower is considered slow. So I’ll be modifying it soon. And bring it up to at least 550 hp. If it’s still too little then I’ll be going balls to the wall and doing a full engine build
The hash makes the GS look better than the Z06...but I rather have the extra power and louder exhaust on Z06...
Great video Chuck! I 100% agree and went with the Grand Sport as my first Corvette for all those reasons you mentioned.
And you got some thumbs down?ya giving your humble knowledge.i thank you god bless you.
I want a covette now.i messed up my z3
Sips gas when it wants to, goes when you smash the gas
8/10 overall. Only wish it had 2 more seats. But then it would be a Camaro
Great video as usual my friend. Wishing you a wonderful Father's Day weekend.

Great video! have safe fun guys!
i have a 2019 GS LOVE IT!!!!!!!
Another get video. Very informative for those looking at a new Corvette. I hope someone at GM knows what your doing to inform and and support sales of this vehicle. Thanks again. Someday you'll have to come up to the northeast for an event.
I think GM needs to team up with me for sure 😁. Thanks for watching Larry
Great vid as always, I like my "16" Z06 but it can be a handful and must be respected for sure, as always thumbs up.
It’s a beast for sure. Have a great weekend Prez 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Now i check Grand sport 65 Carbon 2018 brand new but Automatic . And ZO6 completely black new . Really don’t know . And her in Sweden I can drive it only in summer it’s mean 6 months in the garage will be . I love the 65 Carbon edition
I like the GS more than your ZR1..
😂😂💪
That’s what’s great about corvette lots of choices 👍🏻😎
I love how the corvette looks and sounds
I totally agree 👍🏻😂
Just bought a 2019 GS in same color. Decided this was a better direction than a C8.
Very nice, again I really like that color of the Grandsport for some reason!!! 😎😎😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
🤔🧐😆😁
Love this vlog love ur wifes Grand Sport. This will be my next vette. For the price u gt all the vettes wrap up into one. U gt looks and plenty of power. I hv a c6 and my ls2 is more than enough power for me. So with 460 hp that will b so much fun. Cant beat a Grand Sport.
Once again. You’ve done it even bigger and better. Love the content and mamas ride. Can’t wait to see you in Texas
Hey Check great video, still shopping for mine. Had my heart set on GS but recently test drove a Z06 and well, as you know pretty addicting. I’d have to move many numbers in my life to make Z06 happen... decisions decisions
The Z06 bug can bite you for sure 😁👍🏻😎
