The amount of love he has for these creatures can easily be seen. In the amount of time and effort he puts into taking care of them, as well as his reaction upon finding one of the spiders close to death from the shipping conditions. The way his emotions transferred to mine is truly amazing if I must say. I have never been so disheartened at the sight of a dead spider. The Dark Den, great videos. Keep them up! You have gained a new follower.
I have a whole new level of respect for spiders 🕷. You make it very entertaining:). You are going to have to update us on your girlfriend vs. the centipede.
Every package is from Poland :P You really gathered fantastic community bro congrats something others should be jelly of :) Fantastic new additions! Youre channel is getting bigger and bigger and You didn't believed that. Keep up the great work as always and waiting for new video's and the full collection tour ;)
A big part of why I love your videos is because it's refreshing to see someone with the same personality as me. All your jokes and little quips tickle my sense of humor. Love the perspective you take when addressing myths about tarantulas. Love the passion and professionalism you have as a pet keeper. Love the videos. B- )
I wonder if people ever find tarantula videos and think "im on the weird side of youtube" not realizing that tarantula keeping is an actual thing people do and not just one guy that's different
The Dark Den One of your videos was actually in my recommendations. I'm extremely afraid of spiders etc. but I also wanted to check on your other videos since I'm a really curious person lol . It's so weird to just get packages with animals inside them. 😂
You have inspired me so much, I know it sounds funny but you're one of the main reasons why I am planing on getting a tarantula for myself. Thank you so much for making these quality videos each week. Cheers from Canada!
So cool! The community you've created is awesome! My fiance' and I have a Mexican red rump, a Brazillian pink toe, a chaco golden knee and a Green Bottle Blue. All raised from slings. We had an emperor scorpion but it died and we don't know why. Could you please do a scorpion care video for us. Thanks!
Maybe just a beginner tips? Anyways keep up the awesome videos! I came across your channel last week and can't stop watching :) Regards all the way from South Africa :)
This is my new favorite channel. I love how passionate you are about the hobby. I've been thinking about getting a sling but I wanna make sure it's a beginner t. I don't plan on handling it at all. But I'm going to try my hand at one of your amazing enclosure tutorials. I just went to perco today for one of their tarantula huts( I know, gasp! Haha) I just wanted to rescue it but they didn't have any at my local Petco.maybe someday but I don't think I would have ever considered it if I hadn't binge watched all of your videos. Ps I've been looking for an ant queen myself. I hope your colony is coming along swimmingly.
If you ever plan on selling excess slings from your breeding adventures I'd be interested in purchasing one. Please let us know if the sling in the death curl made it.
I'm SO scared of everything in your videos and would probably scream and run away in real life but, I just LOVE your channel and it's so fun and interesting to watch and see all the best critters out there! I subscribed!
you deserve all the views and followers because you are such a chill dude and really just watching your videos lifts my mood up. Could really watch for hours!
No thank you! I never found another spider channel with your kind of energy! It also helps that the quality of your filming is very nice and we get to see all those beauties all close up :D
It's such an awesome thing that you have so many supporters and continue to get more! Your videos are always so cool and interesting to watch. You do a great job showing people that spiders and other inverts are not as bad as they may seem. As a person who loves spiders and all inverts, I give you a thumbs up!! Keep up the great vids! :)
Wonderful wideo and generous gifts. It was a centipede with babies on youtube that helped me to stumble upon your channel; for which I'm truly grateful. I didn't think I was a spidee person, and yet, here I am being soothed by your uploads. Nicely done. Congratulations on your new 'toys'
i found your vids when you had 2k sub, and i subbed cause you are such a cool nice guy and i love how you care for your animals. you have grown so much over 30k subs!!! you deserve it love the content man
AAAAAA I'm late.... BUT HELL YEAH MAN the community is very nice! also congrats on the centipedes! love the excitement on your face when you got the centipede also sorry for the philippunus man ahhh thanks Marcus!
My P. ornata is shipping out today with overnight, I'm so flippin excited!!~ 😀😀😀 Love the new additions, ESPECIALLY Scolopendra~ How many T's do you have now, including doubles?~ That would be my question for next Q&A, how many do you have total, and how long does it take to feed all of them?~ :D
I just want to say thank you for your videos and advise. I started collecting Tarantula after watching you videos. I have a real interest in tarantula now. My favorite are baboon species. I have a OBT, C. Darlingi, H Maculata and a Caribena versicor. I even have my own red runner Roach colony. I will continue to watch your videos because they are great. Hope you continue 😁👍🏿
I love your videos and you inspired me too get a tarantula. the people I got it from said it was Brachypelma emilia but it looks more like Brachypelma hamorii. I really like scolopendra dehaani and want one but im not alowed to have enything that has that strong venom
Sorry about that O. Philippinus sling! Loved your reaction when you saw the centipede in there! Another awesome video as per usual, was looking forward to watching this today and of course it did not disappoint!
hey Petco I love your channel I watch every day what catalog are you talking about I'm a keeper n I would love to further educate myself on all species thanks
i'm new to your channel and this is the second video of yours that i'm watching, subscribed immediately!! you seem to be very experienced with caring for animals, and it's super cool to see you handle them and talk about them :)
Love your stuff mate. Keep up the good work. You always give me something to watch before I go to bed. You also inspired me to get my very first scorpion. So thank you so much.
Nice! You finally got a centipede, they're my favorites :D If you want any advice on centipede care tell me, I've been keeping them for more than 10 years now and they can be quite different than tarantulas in their care.
Substrate definitely always has to be moist, never let it dry out, even just for a day or two, they dry out really fast sometimes. I have a few more tips as well: Feed it a lot! More than a tarantula. At that size I'd say 5 to 6 adult crickets a week. The membranes between the top and bottom plates should look "full" and bend outwards. Be really careful with high temperatures! Ideally never let it get above 25C. A few hours of 28C or higher can kill a centipede. I learned that the hard way :( Also give it a nice piece of wood or thick branch to climb on, they love climbing :D And when you put it in a bigger box (2x length of pede for width and depth and 1x length of pede for height is ideal) use topsoil mixed with 10-20% sand, they have a hard time digging in coco fiber because they have no silk to stabilize it. Hope I could help, enjoy your pede!
Oh yes, that's no problem. If they have enough places to hide they often decide not to dig at all by the way. So don't worry if yours doesn't make a burrow, that's normal.
Your videos are great dude! Very clear explanations and very down to earth opinions and views, very informative and fun to watch. I don't have any spiders or anything even close haha but I'm hooked. Beautiful animals, man.
I just opened my package from Mark today . All that I ordered plus a surprise gift. Every thing from package to my Ts were in excellent shape . Will be ordering more in future.
Nice additions! One tip if you dont know re King baboons they can sometimes burrow/seal themselves in and you have to dig down to them and drop food down for them. Plus I drop water into it's tunnel. Will this is what happened to me recently but it just moulted! (maybe can do a vid this weekend/monday). Tom Moran had one, left it thinking it was in pre-moult and it passed away. Just a heads up!
Ahh ok! Hope you get a female. Mine am not sure....might see if I can go grab the moult...:) (think it was in pre-moult for the longest time I have ever known re a T and it's just an inch still...argh).
new additions look great. we had issues with O philipinnus, we just picked up our first real cenitpede too. good video! our SC bolted around like a freak when we moved it :) if you mist the sides of the tub they can't climb out.
I love the "present" excuse!! Lol. I wish someone would send me a free tarantula! Every time I adopt another rescued tarantula, I tell the hubby that I couldn't just let it live in a bad/wrong environment, so I HAD to get it. 😝
That’s really sad about the first little spider, but I’m glad the others did fine! Such cute little spiders! Of course the centipede is such a cutie too.
Nice additions, I had a sling arrive in the same condition as the sick one, I placed it on some damp kitchen roll on its back, and sat up all night putting tiny droplets of water on its mouth from a little syringe, wait for the sling to drink, wait a few minutes and give it some more, I carried on doing this until it stopped drinking, and happy to say, it lived and has had 2 successful mounts since, very tiring but well worth the effort, I guess this tip came a little late though, sorry. Keep it up sir, see you Friday 😊
After I started watching your channel, I've gotten 2 tarantulas, a scorpion, and soon to be a Scolopendra Dehaani coming in the mail Tuesday. I love your channel and I'm so jealous of all your beautiful pets you have.
I never particularly liked spiders;much less tarantulas, but after watching videos on your channel, it makes me want one of my own one day 😊. They have little "blep" faces up close, I love it lol
I love your videos and I can't wait for the feeding video of the centipede (: However, I also agree that as a beginner you can get any species if you get the information you need and don't underestimate the animals. My second tarantula was a G. rosea sling and the guy I bought it from told me that it's a beginner species and totally easy to handle and take care of, that's also what I read on the internet (except that it sometimes scares beginners by not eating). When I put it in it's enclosure it bolted like crazy and almost got away. Shortly after I got a P. murinus and maybe it just seems to me that way because I was expecting it to be fast and maybe even aggressive but it was far easier for me to get it into its enclosure than the G. rosea. The G. rosea sling is also in no way docile :P He's still rather small so it's more cute than scary, but he threatens a lot instead of trying to get away and also doesn't hesitate to use his urticating hairs rather quickly. The P. murinus prefers to hide and only shows any sign of aggression when she has a very bad day :P I'm still far from being an experienced keeper but I don't regret getting a new world tarantula so soon at all (: This week I will get two C. versicolor slings and I'm actually more nervous about them because I heard they're hard to keep and die easily when still young. Do you have any experience with raising this species? Sorry if there's a video that answers my question but I only recently found your channel and couldn't watch all videos yet - I'm working on it, though (:
I'm commenting really late oops but I just wanted to say I love how genuinely concerned you were for the first spider and how you handled the situation.
I heard so many storys about centepides , how easy they can chew off plastic boxes , and they are real escaping pros .. Keep a eye on it mate ! great video like always btw :)
Petko to girlfriend: "A friend bought it for me!" Yeahhhhh. Riiiiight. Great stuff! That T was fast! My jus P. cambridgei freaked me out tonight and showed off its speed. Wow. Its so easy to get complacent but it's nice to have a reminder every once in a while just so we don't forget.
Hey just wanted to say your videos are awesome I've always been an arachnophobe and never was a big fan of anything with eight or more legs but watching your videos and the way you handle them so calmly helped me to look at them with a different perspective love the vibe you put off and keep on doin what your doing!
great job on video by the way your collection is the coolest ive seen since i started keeping some as pets and you encourage me to get a different level of tarantula to keep
Great video man!!! be careful of that Lividus mine escaped twice and attacked me both times. scary but very adrenaline-fueled!! in less words scary and fun! later enjoy the species.
It's because we love your videos your an amazing guy 😊.. keep up the good work.. ( ive just stared a Instagram page.. dad's arachnids ) I love the way there's so many amazing people in this hobby.. love you guys.. 🕷️🕸️🕷️🕸️🕷️
I remember when this channel was litle with no more than 200 subs or something like that, with some spiders and not much more. And look at you now with a big Centipede and a lot of Ts. Great channel Petko (i think thats was how your name must be write). Greetings from Spain as always and great video man ✋✌👌
Cool additions! Especially the pede! Sad case with the Philippine Orange man =/ but it happens.
Exotic Lair!
The amount of love he has for these creatures can easily be seen. In the amount of time and effort he puts into taking care of them, as well as his reaction upon finding one of the spiders close to death from the shipping conditions. Best thing about Mondays and Fridays! Dark den videos!
I have a whole new level of respect for spiders 🕷. You make it very entertaining:). You are going to have to update us on your girlfriend vs. the centipede.

I wonder if people ever find tarantula videos and think "im on the weird side of youtube" not realizing that tarantula keeping is an actual thing people do and not just one guy that's different
I'm pretty sure that first one, it's just, this channel is small and only people that are interested in the subject stumble on the videos :)
Ben Moak lol you are everywhere in arachnoboards and now RUclips
The Dark Den One of your videos was actually in my recommendations. I'm extremely afraid of spiders etc. but I also wanted to check on your other videos since I'm a really curious person lol . It's so weird to just get packages with animals inside them. 😂
I absolutely love that I found your channel. Your videos and content are satisfying!!
Awesome new editions! Thinking about expanding my collection as well
You have inspired me so much, I know it sounds funny but you're one of the main reasons why I am planing on getting a tarantula for myself. Thank you so much for making these quality videos each week. Cheers from Canada!

We had an emperor scorpion but it died and we don't know why. Could you please do a scorpion care video for us.
Thanks!
Cant really because I'm not experienced enough when it comes to scorpions
Maybe just a beginner tips? Anyways keep up the awesome videos! I came across your channel last week and can't stop watching :)
Regards all the way from South Africa :)
Hi, Here is a very basic care guide for Emperor scorpions: arachnoboards.com/threads/basic-emperor-scorpion-p-imperator-care.11336/
Maybe this is a good excuse to then get one or two and build some experience? :-)
Thank you, that's very helpful!

I'm SO scared of everything in your videos and would probably scream and run away in real life but, I just LOVE your channel and it's so fun and interesting to watch and see all the best critters out there! I subscribed!

I just want to say thank you for your videos and advise. I started collecting Tarantula after watching you videos. I have a real interest in tarantula now. My favorite are baboon species. Another great package from Poland 🇵🇱 Poland loves Your channel Petko 😊 did the first one survived?

great vid once again, love your channel
I love how he is happy through out this video it makes me smile a lot
I have never ever been a fan of spiders or creepy crawlers but I love your videos. Your poecilotheria metallica is beautiful!
hey Petco I love your channel I watch every day what catalog are you talking about I'm a keeper n I would love to further educate myself on all species thanks
i'm new to your channel and this is the second video of yours that i'm watching, subscribed immediately!! you seem to be very experienced with caring for animals, and it's super cool to see you handle them and talk about them :)
Love your stuff mate. Keep up the good work. You always give me something to watch before I go to bed.
You also inspired me to get my very first scorpion. So thank you so much.
Hahahaha. "What kind of centipede you are?", that is too hilarious!
"Defend your Reputation", I thought he was about to say its pride
Yo new to the Dark Den and loving it :) thanks for being so welcoming
Nice! You finally got a centipede, they're my favorites :D
If you want any advice on centipede care tell me, I've been keeping them for more than 10 years now and they can be quite different than tarantulas in their care.
Thanks, when you compare it to tarantulas, what level of "moist substrate" is optimal, something like for T. stirmi or drier?
Substrate definitely always has to be moist, never let it dry out, even just for a day or two, they dry out really fast sometimes.
I have a few more tips as well:
Feed it a lot!
I learned that the hard way :(
Also give it a nice piece of wood or thick branch to climb on, they love climbing :D
And when you put it in a bigger box (2x length of pede for width and depth and 1x length of pede for height is ideal) use topsoil mixed with 10-20% sand, they have a hard time digging in coco fiber because they have no silk to stabilize it.
Hope I could help, enjoy your pede!
Nice thanks for the solid tips.
How well can they dig, if I compress the soil will it be able to make tunnels?
Oh yes, that's no problem.
If they have enough places to hide they often decide not to dig at all by the way. So don't worry if yours doesn't make a burrow, that's normal.
what an amazing guy, and amazing community! thats so awsome that you sent him all that...
I’ve watched other people but I’ve learned the most from u and the diy videos I make so keep up the good work
Nice additions!
Had one male 2 years ago ^^
Ahh ok! Hope you get a female. Mine am not sure....might see if I can go grab the moult...:) (think it was in pre-moult for the longest time I have ever known re a T and it's just an inch still...argh).
MOAR Ts!! I'm so sorry for the loss of your spiderling. can't wait to see that centipede eat.
I'm completely addicted to your videos, you are awesome!!!
again....your infectious excitement! lol. great new additions! excited to watch the updates on them!
new additions look great. we had issues with O philipinnus, we just picked up our first real cenitpede too. good video! our SC bolted around like a freak when we moved it :) if you mist the sides of the tub they can't climb out.
So happy to see how you're channel is growing. You have a great channel and an amazing personality so you deserve that and much more. 👍👍👍
watching him I am now over my fear of spiders
Oh wow a dehaani! You're so lucky!
I love the "present" excuse!! Lol. I wish someone would send me a free tarantula! Every time I adopt another rescued tarantula, I tell the hubby that I couldn't just let it live in a bad/wrong environment, so I HAD to get it. 😝
I love ur channel dan.. Never in my life did i imagine they ship tarantulas in that small bottle.. Now i already know.. Keep up the good work..
I did the same thing but no luck.
Oh dear, poor thing, can't win them all I suppose, another exhibition over here this weekend, what shill I buy 🤔??
After I started watching your channel, I've gotten 2 tarantulas, a scorpion, and soon to be a Scolopendra Dehaani coming in the mail Tuesday. I love your channel and I'm so jealous of all your beautiful pets you have.

Im french and i love ur videos ! I don't understand all cause i don't speak good english but i like !
I'm commenting really late oops but I just wanted to say I love how genuinely concerned you were for the first spider and how you handled the situation.
Just found this channel and I would never keep such things but I already want to order this guy some stuff! He's so passionate for his creatures
Great you got a tarantula from the Philippines(where I'm from), needs a lot of moist substrate so they can burrow,
if you didn't know.
The Slings are kinda rather cute!

Wow, really nice, Thanks Markus. I also want a sticker! If you ever make more of them.
I love ur videos, please keep making them for all of us.🕷🦂🐜❤️
great job on video by the way your collection is the coolest ive seen since i started keeping some as pets and you encourage me to get a different level of tarantula to keep
When you have finished moving then in, what do you do with them? Do you just leave them alone for a few days and then feed them?
Great video man!!! be careful of that Lividus mine escaped twice and attacked me both times. scary but very adrenaline-fueled!! in less words scary and fun! later enjoy the species.
I have a wild-caught O.phillipinus
S calceatum is the most wicked tarantula out there, good addition!
It wasn't that long ago :P
Love the content especially the centipede they are great feeders!
U actually make me less scare of spiders.Thx dude
to be on the safe side, i think you should keep the pede in a deeper enclosure to give yourself more room. they climb pretty well
Yes, will make one like that in few weeks
I have a huge fear of spiders, but watching your videos are some how soothing.
where u buy those lil containers and how much they cost?
I got them from a friendo of mine, he buys them in bulk on expos in germany
then i need to find other place to buy :D thanks anyway
Check out ebay for very cheap pre-made containers. Got holes and everything, made specifically for spiders and other critters.
Fbi is looking into you
i dont even know what to say your vids are just the best 👍
