I’m watching this video almost 4 years after it was made. I randomly started watching this channel a couple months ago and I have been watching LOT of your videos because of COVID and quarantine. And it’s amazing to see your passion for spiders has never changed over the years!! I hope I get to travel to your country one day and meet you too!!
One of my favorite T shops. You should totally try their mystery boxes, those are great. Oh and L. megatheloides isn't a true spider, it's a Diplurid and those also belong to Mygalomorphae.
When we say true spiders in the hobby we usually mean Araneomorphae. Spiders are divided into two (well actually 3 but who cares) groups, the Mygalomorphae (tarantulas, trapdoor spiders, funnelweb spiders and some others) and the Araneomorphae (everything else). The easiest way to distinguish them is by the direction of the fangs. In true spiders the fangs point towards each other and work like a pincer, and in Mygalomorphae they strike downwards and forwards. Pick your Linothele up and look at its fangs from below and you'll see. ^^ just kidding. Genetically those two groups are actually really far apart, with the Mygalomorphae being considered the more "primitive" spiders.
Exactly - also we can clearly see the difference on how Araneomorphae usually use their webs as a "waiting trap" were they can "collect" prey whether Mygalomorphae prefer to strike something that's passing by, amazing animals.
Great vid as always! I just received a package the other day myself. Feels like Christmas until you open up the vial and find a healthy little sucker ready to Usain Bolt its way across the room. One of my favourite and least favourite experience with Tarantulas all wrapped in one. Looking forward to your next vid and seeing your new spiders once they acclimate to their new homes.
I hate hate hateeee spiders and other creatures like that, I'm more of a rodent person myself but I cannot stop watching your videos! I love every one of them I find them very very interesting and the content is great! You have quickly become one of my favourite people on RUclips - love from England 🇬🇧❤️
What are the odds? I've actually placed an order with them just before seeing your videos so to me this was awesome! I've never ordered tarantulas online before and now I know how they will be packed. Also, congrats on your new additions!! 😁
Haha I thought once I saw the label I thought you were getting a typhoclaena seladonia and for the true spider I thought you were getting lactrodectus mactans but either way these new arachnids are awesome! Can't wait to see the stirmi grow up. Love your vids!
I used to work in a pet shop that sold tarantulas but I was terrified of them but now I'm older I really want one is there any information I can get on a beginner ? Plus I want to get over my fear and I think having one will tackle the problem.
I started the hobby last year, and I bought my Ts from SpidersWorld.eu I found them to be very helpful, polite, and friendly. They sex a lot of their Ts younger than many online companies.
Bro congratulations! finally T. stirmi! what a gorgeous beast! Holding fingers crossed for it to be Linda :P - and You didn't end Youre tought You wanted to say the hirsutum walks like Avi now Caribena or Ybyrapora right ;)?? It was my tought right away and they are really similliar as a sling :) keep up the great work!
I git some females all around my house and they are brown wolf spiders if i remember only around one inch big half the time. Is it safe to keep one as a pet? If so should it be a small encloser?
Bought my first tarantula yesterday its a costarican zebra its kinda just sittin in the corner not moving even wen i poke it doesnt move atall i can see a lil reaction wen i poke it or graze it i should say but i bought the enclosure it was in so should i still wait for like a week before feeding? its still in the same enclosure so idk first ime tarantula owner haha any help would b appreciated
love your videos .I had I question what do say would be the best tarantula for beginners I've been researching the gramastola pulchra I believe I spelled that correct but anyway would greatly appreciate your input before I get my first T thank you in advance.
I love this video! I just got my first Theraphosa last week and they (0.0.2 T.stirmi) look exactly the same size as yours. Mine were so bolty when I housed them that watching you unpack this one made me hella nervous haha.
Congrats! I am happy for you! I have 4 tarantulas. But I wish to have a T. Stirmi once. I am a 13 year old girl, and you inspired me to get tarantulas!
I'm new to spiders (former arachnophobe) and seeing you get spiders through the mail made me wonder how theyre able to breathe in boxes that are taped up so well? I'm sure youve answered this a billion and one times, but I couldnt help but wondering! Great vid!
Nice video thanks! where did you get the big vial? I have a 2cm long sling that cannot fit in its original vial and I'm looking for a bigger one. thanks!
I live in America but and I really want to order some tarantulas from Poland because they have some species I can't seem to find here. BUT I'm scared it wouldn't be safe for them. I planned to wait till it got a little bit warmer if I did decide to order them. Do you or anyone have any experience or thoughts?? Thanks. Ps your videos are ASMR and I'm glad I found you channel❤️
Hi! how often customs do open packages like this ? It is prohibited to send animals in post packages ,and thy will confiscate if found any . Have you any experience with situation like that ?
are you sure ? no one inspects packages sent from EU to EU country ? But in package sending rules is clearly stated that animals is prohibited. I`m confused how that works , how people get their spiders with mail. i`m worried about my spidersworld order .
I had a few tarantulas as a kid and I just recently bought my first in years. I've been wanting to jump into the hobby but I'm not sure where to purchase the spiders. A lot of the websites I find have bad or mixed reviews. do you have any sites or breeders you could recommend?
Your doing good with coconut fiber? Here in Germany we use potting soil or forrest substrate. Enclosures with coconut fiber are the biggest noob enclosures here :,)
I have found some informations in a book from Dr. Dietrich Mebs. Sadly he only describes the effects of the venom from Atrax robustus concerning the Dipluridae, however this venom is highley effectiv by primates; including humans. Much more than by mice or other small animals. The bite seems to hurt quite much but there aren't many cases of death. However, there aren't any informations about Linothele spec. but I think it is pretty good to watch out - even though they are more shy than aggressive!
You are welcome for the T.Stirmi, big man! Here's hoping my mother-in-law never watches this video! ;)
Chris
Or any other update video if it turns out to be a female xD
The Dark Den I think it will totally be worth it ;)

I'm excited to see your Linothele updates! I have a Linothele Fallax and it's one of my favorites. Good stuff as always :>
I've been watching you for a few years now, seen most of your more recent videos and decided to watch your old ones again
One of my favorite T shops. You should totally try their mystery boxes, those are great.
Oh and L. megatheloides isn't a true spider, it's a Diplurid and those also belong to Mygalomorphae.
but they are very interesting and they look cool
Oh yes, I actually want one too. Might buy one tomorrow actually.
So what are actually true spiders then?

I like that you’re wearing a Falling in Reverse shirt lol. Nice unboxing.
I'm new to spiders (former arachnophobe) and seeing you get spiders through the mail made me wonder how theyre able to breathe in boxes that are taped up so well? I'm sure youve answered this a billion and one times, but I couldnt help but wondering! Great vid!

Hi! how often customs do open packages like this ? It is prohibited to send animals in post packages ,and thy will confiscate if found any . Have you any experience with situation like that ?
iva666 within eu it is not a problem since there is no customs :)
are you sure ? no one inspects packages sent from EU to EU country ?
But in package sending rules is clearly stated that animals is prohibited.
I`m confused how that works , how people get their spiders with mail.
i`m worried about my spidersworld order .
iva666 ask them but from what I know, it is not an issue...probably because people generally don't give spiders any animals right
Do you remember how much the shipping fee was for Croatia?
Yo den how long did it take to diliver?

I had a few tarantulas as a kid and I just recently bought my first in years. I've been wanting to jump into the hobby but I'm not sure where to purchase the spiders. A lot of the websites I find have bad or mixed reviews. do you have any sites or breeders you could recommend?
