Unfun fact Darkside developments have removed a 6.0 diesel from a crashed q7 and are putting it in an amorak mated to a manual gearbox.

It was developed for the Audi R8 but when it was in they could only fit a Audi A4 gearbox in it which was weak and rated for only a couple hundred NM so it was never put into production as it would’ve been very slow

Interestingly when I had this Q7 last year I filmed a video about the engine and about the diesel R8 specifically - I just haven't got around to editing it (almost a year on). I'll do it at some point!

@@TimRodieDrivesStuff would be an interesting watch for sure because the concept of a diesel supercar is interesting in itself and the styling for the R8 diesel I think was really cool because it took what I think to be a beautiful car and made it tastefully aggressive

the v12 tdi engine came from the audi r10 tdi le mans car and that in the same v12 engine that is in this car
