I prefer Audi, but I also prefer petrol. But what I prefer the most is a company mad enough tu put a 6 liter diesel with a freaking kilo Newton meter into a 7 seater family SUV. Audi wins.

I used to have an old lada and I drove into a gatepost snapped it and drove around the field back up and onto the road and the larda never had any damage 🤪

Torque has no meaning in this competition, the Audi simply is much heavier and therefor wins.

Everyone I know uses these cars to go to the mall. Be realistic people. Can it carry 5 Zara bags and a toddler? Good. Sold.

Tbh Audi's traction control system is like Merc's and you can't fully disengage so it keeps grabbing the brakes when you don't want it to when driving fast.
Weight, wheel base, and differentials also impact the towing test. I have the same generation Cayenne and there’s buttons to lock the rear and for snowy and muddy conditions. Doesn’t look like Tiff used that feature

Good show! That was quite fun to watch and I laughed all the way through.
Audi seems to be headed in the wrong direction. The interior of the next generation Q7 is nice but the exterior has gone array. The Cayenne delivers a second to none driving experience and the styling screams "pure sports car on stilts".
Hermann Brumm the new Q7's interior is just not as luxurious and high quality as the old one.

I just love that it is a diesel. I don't get how ppl can hate on more pulling power and better gas mileage, just because the engine might sounds a lil rougher.
Facepalm.... Why would you NOT turn off the traction control when doing a race? But yes, the Audi is not near as sophisticated when it comes to handeling as the Porsche. but I'd guess that is because Audi pretty much bashed a crazy idea together, not reworked the entire car from the ground-up and build a sports SUV (in the sence of the Cayenne).
BTW: Doing comparison races also requires same driver to drive both cars

The V12 TDI would be one hell of a tow vehicle. It could probably tow the heaviest Airsream up over Eisenhower without down shifting much. Lol

Not in the slightest. The q7 is an extended version of the same chassis that both the cayenne and vw touareg use. They are all based on the same car, albeit with the q7 extended to have room for 7 seats.

That's how (in my view at least) suv's shine... muddy and signs that it's been off the road and had some fun.... I dislike those who drop them and put these massive rims on them... but thats just me. :-p

I would give the winner to Audi because it's just more stabilized, it's safer to drive, but Porsche was better in cornering and it has to do something with traction control, when you turn off the traction control, all my tires spin at the same time which in the video was ON, I could see it on the corner, I have Audi, I know what I'm saying!
3 minutes 30 seconds if the traction control is taking too much power from the engine just cut it off in the center console beside the emergency flashers there's a button that has a picture of two tires with squiggly lines under it press that ESC off electronic stability control

At the end of the day, they’re owned by the same people, and in truth, share some components. The 1st gen hybrid panamera used an Audi v6. A v12 diesel is awesome, wish the VW group would put it in more vehicles.

Remember to drain your bulkhead Cayenne, Q7 and Touareg people. See the Porsche Tech playlist I have and thefix to prevent water/electrical damage and smells. Drive safe all!
They never mention anything about the tyres in these comparisons. Huge factor
Plus, on the porsche you have locking rear and central diff and a low range gearbox which i'm sure they did not use.
@@Mihaitasr Vw Touareg have a low range gearbox, i think they didnt add that for porsche. But in this case , i reckon law range would not help too much against 1000nm diesel and audi v12 weight will eventually pull more than porsche. I would like to see VW Touareg V10 diesel with low range and center diff against these 2
@@oskartross8459 they've used it on the porsche as well, most likely the same drivetrain. Cayenne can also come with disconnecting sway bars.
@@Mihaitasr Yes you are right. Looks like 1st generations had a low gear as well. Somehow i allways tought porsche and audi didnt get that low gear transfercase. But im not sure about suspension, i have a touareg and its pretty soft to drive

Audi has waaaaay more torque than porsche but less speed. SUV's are built for torque not speed..
