- Actress Carrie Fisher has penned a new memoir called “The Princess Diarist” in which reveals that at age 19, she had an affair with Harrison Ford, her married co-star in the first “Star Wars” film. She tells Kathie Lee and Hoda that she didn’t make the first move, and that even co-star Mark Hamill didn’t know about the brief romance.

She said she'd been drinking and he kissed her. She responded. Both of them were wrong but that was 40 years ago and I wouldn't have known had she not told. I have no problem with her revealing her history. It doesn't make me think less of them, it just tells me what can happen on movie sets and anywhere actually where attractive women and men work or share space.

Thank you Carrie for calling out Kathie Lee on her bs...you'd think KL would have at least brushed up on who Mark Hammill is. And then saying that Carrie slept with a long list of men after Harrison Ford at age 19? Carrie called her out on that too. I'm going to miss her dry, acerbic wit. And as a fellow bipolar patient, I thank her for bringing awareness mainstream through her story and laughter. Read her books if you haven't yet. RIP.

These were the worst hosts ever
She was so funny. My opinion, I've no problem with her revealing her affair because, first, she participated in it and it was partially her story to tell and second, Mr. Ford divorced his first wife long ago and so this revelation couldn't cause problems in that marriage. Had Mr. Ford been married to his wife of that time then I don't believe Ms. Fisher would've revealed the affair. But it's been 40 years and as she wanted to release it, her choice. Because she choose to write the book we are fortunate to have recent media appearances of her promoting it and have on video recent examples of her charm, candor and mischievousness. She was my favorite film princess. My condolences to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

AugustHawk We didn’t deserve her. She took a life full of chaos and made the best of it. I don’t wish for her problems, but I wish I could handle my own as honestly and humorously as she did. I miss her so much, and know that Episode 9 would have been so much better with her participation.
