- This project is off to a good start, to get going we need to remove TJI's to install more adequate beams. Follow along as we drop in a few dozen LVL, PSL, and more.

We're so far into this remodel now that it's not even funny, floor systems are opened up everywhere. 20 beams installed on the 2nd floor alone.. We still have an elevator shaft and more to go. This is going to be a long project, but I'm excited to show it through the end.
You hiring ? Looking for a job I’m in California but I’ll travel to work with you.
keen as for this journey man, loving this project.
Take your time broski. Make that money n make it worth it. The building of course lol
Matt has seemed genuinely nervous throughout this project. Relatable. Ever carpenter/tradesman meets their match now and again
Then I’ll jump in my Ford ****** Ranger. 😂 Great work.
"Pedal to the metal ... then I'll start it ..."
@Matt, one word Endurance 😎✌️
Another word, pineapple?
@@MattBangsWood 🤣🤣🤣 love your sense of humor. Looks good from my place.
Ya
My waters still not fixed, getting a plumber to your house is a struggle!
There is a huge gap in all the trades for workers.
what is the longest span LVL or PSL beam you are able to get on site as a single continuous member?
Where’s fox?
he went to a bigger framing company I believe
I would have thrown up some post shores just in case. But good work
I assume when you were talking about the PSL’s meant LVL’s?
This project has thrown me for a loop because I'm not used to LVL being anything but 1-3/4"..
Yes, talking about PSL's, installed LVLs.
Where’s Foxx?
Things slowed down few months ago and he went to work for a bigger framing company.
How did a structural engineer and city inspector sign off on this?!?!?!! Holy crap, there is a lot to likely say a cave in was in likely, but seriously, the entire house was caving in and there they blocked 1.5" of cut offs on the side of the house because it was built crooked, is mental. I'd say the owner needs to look up who was the engineer on this house build and who signed off on the inspections and needs to go after them (their insurance) to pay for this major work!
What happens to the vans?
You going for the Jerry Seinfeld jeans and joggers look now
My Vans & my work boots got wrecked in the storm / broken water main at house.. I need new shoes. 🤣
Do you not do any framing production homes? Why?
No, no production homes. No money in doing that. We do small projects, but no tracts.
@@MattBangsWood do you think that’s the case in every state? I wanted to get my framing company to do production homes, I could probably get 5-7 crews.
You have to do garbage work in order to blow and go and stand a chance at making any money. Plenty of companies out there with zero pride in their work and they’ll under bid you every time.
@@MattBangsWooddo you believe that modular building is replacing the framing industry when it comes to production of residential homes?
Think about things that could have been
Larry’s quote of the day.
I’m curious what lead to this? What was the giveaway something wasn’t right with those beams? Is this an investor that got smacked with a major rehab after starting what they thought would be a simple rehab?
This wasn’t ever supposed to be a complex process, just a remove and replace. What we’re finding now is a bit more than expected.. Unfortunately this happens when you open up a house.
Later on you’ll see there’s beams that never got set in the floor system that need to go in. It’s a bit of a mess.
Why are you doing this work? Could you explain why the houses needed such structural change
‘I have’ don’t you mean ‘we have’ you are working as a team
I said “we’re” and “our” a few dozen times and you’re going off the one time I say “I have”… 🤣
@@MattBangsWoodclearly this guy has never watched you before, lol
Did you overbid this place on purpose to not get the project? But they actually accepted your bid 😂
Unfortunately not! I actually didn’t bid this one, it was next to impossible to.. Hours clocked for it all!
