    I remember where I was standing when that last hail Mary was thrown and seeing Gronk diving for it. What a game! So happy to have been one of the believers in Eli. So underrated. The guy did what NOBODY could do. Beat the Patriots at their own game, in the Superbowl, twice.

    13:48 anyone ever notice how that was almost Tom Brady's version of the Tyree Catch. He somehow escapes from a sack to throw a deep ball down the middle of the field. Only this time it was intercepted.

    • @nyg_dbone
      @nyg_dbone 4 года назад

      They didn’t bench they let Geno Smith start because the Giants never started an African-American quarterback and they were the last team in NFL history that still didn’t at the time and they got the technicality out-of-the-way at Eli’s expense but made it look like they benched him so nobody would know what they were doing. Pay attention Holla

    Neat, both the Manning Boys played a Super Bowl in the brother's home stadium. Difference is, Eli won his. Still, I don't imagine Giants Stadium will have an Eli Manning statue on their grounds.
    For regional cuisine, this was my favorite Super Bowl match-up: NY Strip steaks and Maine Lobster tails, with New York cheesecake and Boston creme pie for desert.

    For all Patriot fans and NY Giants haters out there, sure it's fair to say Tyree's catch was sheer luck. I agree with this even as a Giants fan due to holding and in the grasp not being called, along with Eli's motion being stopped for almost 1 full second and of course the nature in which the pass was completed. BUT, in this game, the pass to Manningham is not justifiable to be labeled "lucky". Eli was at his own 5 and had just stepped up in the pocket, releasing the ball with Vince Wilfork's hand meres inches from deflecting it. His pass was thrown from his left hashmark and against his body, while traveling 40 yards down the sideline with a tight spiral into double coverage. The odds of the completion are low, yet Eli's accuracy was dead on. Manningham did the rest, keeping both feet inbounds whilst maintaining clear possession. So in conclusion, a veteran QB made a perfect pass in a dire situation. That isnt luck, that's skill being executed perfectly.
