this was the first time that “defense wins championships” stood out for me to shut down the best offense to ever play the game? that’s why the legion of boom stands out to me as the best D to ever play the game congrats to them and there fans
Tough game to watch. These Broncos shattered the all-time scoring record only to put up one score when it mattered most. Look up the last four times a team has set a new scoring record, all four of them failed to win a championship: 1983 Redskins, 1998 Vikings, 2007 Patriots, and 2013 Broncos. Say what you want about my favorite team, but they know how to lose on the big stage better than anyone. Super Bowl losses? WE'RE NUMBER 1!!!!
You forgot 1984 Dolphins, okay I am aging myself, but the Broncos have been on the wrong side of the 2 of the biggest blowouts in Super Bowl history vs SF and this one also pulled off two of the biggest upsets vsGB and vs Car when they were big underdogs a interesting history
Richard Lorith 1984 Dolphins did not set a scoring record. Dan Marino rewrote the record book for passing stats, but most observers did not expect them to win the Super Bowl because they were so one-dimensional. Yeah, my Broncos haven't had the best of times in the Super Bowl, and some of those beatings were downright painful. But, that makes their wins that much sweeter!!
As a Dolphins fan I believe if they would were going to win that Super Bow,granted I was 16 years old The 49ers took advantage of the slow-footed Jay Brophy and Mark Brown at LB and the game was changing and Don Shula was still using 1970's type defenses and on offense the O-Line did not play well, but with being said they were not as overmatched as the Broncos later in the decade
The Broncos had problems without Chris Harris Jr., Von Miller, Rahim Moore, Derek Wolfe, and several other crucial members of their defense. Those 4 players had been starters all seasons. Ryan Clady also was out for the offense. So that was difficult for them to overcome.

One of my favorite super-bowls in history glad the Hawks dominated as well as they did and had their first moment. Any day Mr. Potato 🥔 head lost it was a good day in my book.
Or white. 3-1 in blue or white all-time in the SB. In the loss, they led most of the first half and into the third quarter. In all 4 blowout losses where they never led at halftime or after halftime, they wore orange. Orange has always been a blowout loss.

This game showed Peytons true skill. (Throwing pick sixes) lol. And a missed snap first play. Lmao. Choke artist. Hell the only reason he got 2 rings was ....1) rex grossman sucked for the bears. and 2) von miller beat the panthers. Not him. Atleast Eli had amazing throws that impacted his games in his superbowls against the Patriots
This was actually one of the most boring Super Bowls I've ever seen. Didn't like either team but I expected a better game from Manning to keep it interesting. But it was just an ugly blowout. I guess if you were a Seattle fan you loved this Superbowl.
This is the only superbowl i ever stopped watching at halftime
This Is Play Stations Jui Oi last Super Bowl he uploaded

2000 ravens are better
Such a nightmare for the highest scoring offense ever. Denver basically stood no chance against Seattle’s Legion of Boom.
Loved every minute of this game
Me too
I loved every minute of Super Bowl XLIX especially that INT.

Anyone know what the name of the song starting at 12:29 is? Been looking for it.

Do they have the film of Super Bowl XLIX? I can't find it anywhere.

I have it saved on my TV. NFL Network usually has a marathon of all the Super Bowl highlights this time of year.

You do not throw a pass on the goal line when you have Marshawn Lynch
