So, according to PETA, a game like Animal Crossing, where you mostly explore the island and talk to cute animals is bad, but a game like Pokemon, where you catch wild animals, keep them trapped in some abnormally small balls and force them to fight is okay

PETA forgot that when you donate fish or insects to Blathers, he keeps them in some high-class aquarium or outdoor park, which is NOT animal abuse. After all, that's how most aquariums get their fish. And they also should note that there are like INFINITE clams, fish and bugs on your island, not to mention the clams you catch are only those on the surface.
