Yep, and some of the situations they put the female characters in in these ads border on torture porn, BDSM, or some really weird shit but are clearly tinge with sexualization to anyone with a couple brain cells. Meanwhile the game is most likely one of those scummy, moneygrab matching games. I can’t remember exactly which ad or game it was, but one bothered me so much that I actually sent e-mails to Google, the app dev and I think I left a Play Store review. Normally I just look at them weird, roll my eyes and move on but whatever that particular ad was… was bad.

This is why I think Apple Arcade was a good move on Apple's part. Yes it's a subscription service, but it offers actual quality mobile games that all are guaranteed not to have hindering ads and monetization.

Gardenscapes ads always have the same “story premise” of “this woman’s husband (who happens to be the mascot of Homescapes) kicked her and her young daughter out of their home to make room for another woman and now she has to live on her own in this old dilapidated hovel and she’s terrible at everything so she needs you to help her”

And then they have those disgusting “call me a legend” ads that say crap like “feel me” and “touch me” and shows a cursors clicking on a woman’s body parts. It’s disgusting.
I think it was call me emperor but I don't know because there's so many of them. I found out it's an entire genre in China. All these games based in the same setting with similar characters, a similar story, similar gameplay and even similar ads.
The gameplay is nothing like the ads but I struggle to even call it gameplay at all. It's a menu simulator with battles you watch sometimes and features that actively encourage the whales to bully everyone else.
Edit: So I found the exact game you mentioned. It's a war game. Which isn't original either. I got it mixed up with something else because mobile devs are so unoriginal they steal names as well as ads and concepts.

This video is 8 months old and I swear it still can apply to this day. I downloaded Paper.io 2 and you are literally forced to get an ad every 3 kills and you get another ad after the round. It makes me sad because I remember playing the first Paper.io years ago and it didn't nearly have as much ads and it was still super fun to play. Also so many of the ads for shitty mobile games involve among us characters so they're still using trends for advertising 😩
I think “Drop the Number” is the worst. There’s ads abt every second where you like it or not and basically all the ads the buttons to skip are so small that you cant skip it AND half the time the ad glitches and you have to reboot ur device just to be able to play the game again.

I agree so much. Most stupid games are a kind of minigame that is basic code you can copy paste from some cheap website and then changing some sprites to make it themed after some tv show. This shit is why appstores desperately need at least a minimal ammount of quality control. Blatantly predatory games, games that look like they were developed in 5 minutes, clones, and stuff that I'm surprised haven't incurred lawsuits.
Reminds me of Steam and the money-hungry devs that do basically the same thing same with low-quality games. Tons of needless, soulless sequels that are virtually no different from their predecessors, blatant asset flips, you name it. Unlike the App Store, I believe Steam has cracked down on this, but don’t quote me on that.

In my opinion Soul knight (top down shooter game with rogue like elements and themes), Tavern rumble (A rogue, turn based, card game like slay the spire), UnCiv (turn based strat game similar to civ 5 but it is light, pixelated, and community driven), And Mekorama (3D puzzle game) are some of the currently best free "hidden" gems in the playstore that I happily played and really enjoyed. (Apart from the classics ofc. And there is yet more to be uncovered underneath the garbage of apps. Also by hidden I mean it is not as knowned or as popular. )

I like Black Survival(Archbears) and Love Idol(Sunbee Soft). Black survival is a strategy game that has this unique 2d 10 players (1v1) which makes the game hard, but overall this game is amazing. Love Idol however doesn't have a great art style in comparison to BS BUT you can play it offline AND it doesn't bombard you with ads! Salfy the downside of Love Idol is that it hasn't updated yet...
I’ve played a couple of those games for a while and my strategy was to put the airplane mode so I wouldn’t be harassed by the ads but now whenever I try to play with the airplane mode on the game just doesn’t work anymore 💀💀💀
I used to download the games from ads that pretend to let you play and then open play store page and gave it one star just because the ad was a scam 😈

I have the great joy to inform you that before this video I have never heard of any of these.
Ooo, I played "save the girl"! I wanted to find an actual game from all of those fake ads, I started to seek and I found it! That thing is hilarious actually! Yes, it is simple, maybe even cheap(but there're looot more bad copies, I played one), but it is cool. It has a weird silly storyline, you are hopping from one place to another and always trying to finger which one variant is right (it isn't always obvious, because variants of solutions may be as crazy, as problems). I played it to the end and loved it.
But maybe I'm talking about another one similar game with choices... But "save the girl" I have played.

I keep getting ads for this mobile game named "Puppy town", where this asian guy talks in broken english about how he got tons of free money (in cash, and he holds up about 20 $100 bills to the camera) just by playin this mobile game , which is probably trash and made in a shady game software.

i think idle home is suppose to be you play game then wait hours later then play game, but the rewards for adding stuff to the house isn't great as the stuff are super expensive while there's little reward to adding a part of the house to the house
