Yep, and some of the situations they put the female characters in in these ads border on torture porn, BDSM, or some really weird shit but are clearly tinge with sexualization to anyone with a couple brain cells. Meanwhile the game is most likely one of those scummy, moneygrab matching games. I can’t remember exactly which ad or game it was, but one bothered me so much that I actually sent e-mails to Google, the app dev and I think I left a Play Store review. I use a better method of using up all my mobile data, so the game thinks I have wifi , but it can't reach any servers to show ads. Works with all the Sonic The Hedgehog games

I think it was call me emperor but I don't know because there's so many of them. I found out it's an entire genre in China. All these games based in the same setting with similar characters, a similar story, similar gameplay and even similar ads. The gameplay is nothing like the ads but I struggle to even call it gameplay at all. It's a menu simulator with battles you watch sometimes and features that actively encourage the whales to bully everyone else. Edit: So I found the exact game you mentioned. It's a war game. Which isn't original either. I got it mixed up with something else because mobile devs are so unoriginal they steal names as well as ads and concepts.
I saw one with an “xray” and the person in the ad was like super close to her crotch area and like making it almost go over then taking it back. same happened with the chest. It’s fucking deplorable and it should be banned.

My nephew when he is allowed to have his screen time unfortunately has all these poorly made apps. He sees these crappy ads and has the urge to download practically every game. And THEN he’s willing to sit through the ridiculous amount of ads. As savantics stated it is gullible children that fuel the cheap app industry.

Honestly so true. In the adds, they show HomeScapes as a henry stickman type game where you use items to save a guy, but in reality, it's a candy crush game

This shit is why appstores desperately need at least a minimal ammount of quality control. Blatantly predatory games, games that look like they were developed in 5 minutes, clones, and stuff that I'm surprised haven't incurred lawsuits.
Reminds me of Steam and the money-hungry devs that do basically the same thing same with low-quality games. Tons of needless, soulless sequels that are virtually no different from their predecessors, blatant asset flips, you name it. Unlike the App Store, I believe Steam has cracked down on this, but don’t quote me on that.
The App Store/Google Play Store is like the Wii! THERE'S LITTLE TO NO QUALITY CONTROL! Seriously just like shovelware on the Wii/XBOX 360, these games are super minimalistic, 95% of them are terrible, and just exist just make cash off of unsuspecting people! They aren't fun or innovative, they're rely on modern memes and trends, lack little to no effort, and like I said, just exist as cheap, soulless cash-grabs. I'm not saying ALL mobile games are terrible, but these mentioned in this video and more come across as unoriginal and boring, instead of fun and brings something new to the table!

Save the Girl? Literally, "Save the Girl?" That has to be, if not, one of the worst titles for a mobile game. Just like the other game that's made by Lion Studios called "Pull Him Out." Either the game developer is literally a child, or they can't come up with the game title in the game that's creative, and not so crappy.

I keep getting ads for this mobile game named "Puppy town", where this asian guy talks in broken english about how he got tons of free money (in cash, and he holds up about 20 $100 bills to the camera) just by playin this mobile game , which is probably trash and made in a shady game software.
I once found a mobile "game" that wasn't even a real game. It would play an ad then take you to an endless loading screen that stops at the halfway point.
This is why I think Apple Arcade was a good move on Apple's part. Yes it's a subscription service, but it offers actual quality mobile games that all are guaranteed not to have hindering ads and monetization.

I also played a lot of these „free to play“ mobile games but only when I was addicted to Amphetamin. This is no joke, the moment I got clean and my brain started workin properly again I could not bring myself to play anymore.
Turning off my device's Wifi - the oldest trick in the book, and has worked consistently for at least a half-decade straight. And people STILL haven't found a way to cram these ads in your face without WiFi!
I think “Drop the Number” is the worst. There’s ads abt every second where you like it or not and basically all the ads the buttons to skip are so small that you cant skip it AND half the time the ad glitches and you have to reboot ur device just to be able to play the game again.
The worst thing about those games isn't their absolute shit of a business strategy. It's their programing. They use this weird physics motor to run a 3d model (Both of them likely made in Unity) when ot would look more appealing, use less battery, and take less space out of your phone, if they used 2D.
That's the real kicker. Give some mid decade mobile games credit, at least the developers gave a damn about stealing your money. This is bottom barrel tier trash.
Candy Crush uses AI and machine learning to rig and control the candy drops in such a way you'll get like 2 or 3 moves to victory when you ran out of moves, prompting you to buy the extra moves and/or boosters. Match-3 games usually rely on RNG for pieces to drop but not in Candy Crush!! Not surprising considering King invested billion$ in AI and machine learning.

Don’t forget Homescapes and it’s clones! All the ads are showing “pull the pin” puzzles and logic puzzles, when (according to the reviews) it’s actually just a Candy Crush clone. And the Gardenscapes ads always have the same “story premise” of “this woman’s husband (who happens to be the mascot of Homescapes) kicked her and her young daughter out of their home to make room for another woman and now she has to live on her own in this old dilapidated hovel and she’s terrible at everything so she needs you to help her” Honestly, corporate greed is slowly killing the entire entertainment industry.
Save the girl type games have actually ruined the app store. Remember homescapes and gardenscapes? They used to be alright but now their ads follow the same premise and art style

The worst mobile game I've played was Simpsons Tapped Out. It wasn't full of ads but it was made by EA, this meant that it was one of those "pay to win" games.
Man, imagine the game where you have no control over anything, but you have to keep paying in real time to keep your progress, even if you're not "playing" right now. Now turn some popular ip they still have left into that abomination - and that will make all the money in the world.
I mean, flash games existed. There was some quality stuff for free over there. A lot of which have given people nostalgia? I remember Stick War, Raze and SFH, Henry Stickmin, and a lot more games out there I'm forgetting. *Those,* were free. *THOSE,* WERE GREAT. I tried everything like tapping and other various actions on the blocks and other areas on the screen. Nothing much happened. There were no virtual buttons or anything so I just quit and deleted it

I haven't played a mobile game in a long while so I recently tried out Bitlife (cause my friends was playing it). Somewhat liked the game but ads were just everywhere. And the game was freezing up horribly. Finally died and uninstalled the game. It was a nightmare.
Wanna hear the worst part, even when there isn't any internet, it still plays it's own Bitzen ad. Like, they physically programmed a video advertisement in their game and you can't avoid it
The only two things I can think of being the worst that aren't Microsoft/Minecraft related is literally any early access game that's only in that category because it was too rushed to be anything more than a crappy screensaver and games whose developers are so damn greedy they'll fill the game with excess video ads and a banner ad whose hitbox takes up almost the whole freaking screen. I have several examples of the first problem and an example of the second problem if anyone's interested to hear about them.
Has anyone seen those cringeful mobile legends ads? "Woah, he is genius!" "woaaah you won game!!!!" Not to mention the animated one where a female legend is running from a male one and the female legend is "screaming" whilst running away, or atleast, that was what they intended it to sound like. I now have to turn down my volume when watching ads because someone is going to question why they hear a loli moaning somewhere
and that game will soon be thrown into the pit of “somewhat decent games” after it dies being overthrown by another game that is, yet again, only popular because pewdiepie played it
In my opinion Soul knight (top down shooter game with rogue like elements and themes), Tavern rumble (A rogue, turn based, card game like slay the spire), UnCiv (turn based strat game similar to civ 5 but it is light, pixelated, and community driven), And Mekorama (3D puzzle game) are some of the currently best free "hidden" gems in the playstore that I happily played and really enjoyed. (Apart from the classics ofc. And there is yet more to be uncovered underneath the garbage of apps. Also by hidden I mean it is not as knowned or as popular. )
I like Black Survival(Archbears) and Love Idol(Sunbee Soft). Black survival is a strategy game that has this unique 2d 10 players (1v1) which makes the game hard, but overall this game is amazing. Love Idol however doesn't have a great art style in comparison to BS BUT you can play it offline AND it doesn't bombard you with ads! Salfy the downside of Love Idol is that it hasn't updated yet...

I think “Drop the Number” is the worst. There’s ads abt every second where you like it or not and basically all the ads the buttons to skip are so small that you cant skip it AND half the time the ad glitches and you have to reboot ur device just to be able to play the game again.
The worst thing about those games isn't their absolute shit of a business strategy. It's their programing.
They use this weird physics motor to run a 3d model (Both of them likely made in Unity) when ot would look more appealing, use less battery, and take less space out of your phone, if they used 2D.
That's the real kicker. Give some mid decade mobile games credit, at least the developers gave a damn about stealing your money. This is bottom barrel tier trash.

Candy Crush uses AI and machine learning to rig and control the candy drops in such a way you'll get like 2 or 3 moves to victory when you ran out of moves, prompting you to buy the extra moves and/or boosters. Match-3 games usually rely on RNG for pieces to drop but not in Candy Crush!! Not surprising considering King invested billion$ in AI and machine learning.

I tried everything like tapping and other various actions on the blocks and other areas on the screen. Nothing much happened. There were no virtual buttons or anything so I just quit and deleted it

The only two things I can think of being the worst that aren't Microsoft/Minecraft related is literally any early access game that's only in that category because it was too rushed to be anything more than a crappy screensaver and games whose developers are so damn greedy they'll fill the game with excess video ads and a banner ad whose hitbox takes up almost the whole freaking screen. In my opinion Soul knight (top down shooter game with rogue like elements and themes), Tavern rumble (A rogue, turn based, card game like slay the spire), UnCiv (turn based strat game similar to civ 5 but it is light, pixelated, and community driven), And Mekorama (3D puzzle game) are some of the currently best free "hidden" gems in the playstore that I happily played and really enjoyed. (Apart from the classics ofc. And there is yet more to be uncovered underneath the garbage of apps. Also by hidden I mean it is not as knowned or as popular. )

I like Black Survival(Archbears) and Love Idol(Sunbee Soft). Black survival is a strategy game that has this unique 2d 10 players (1v1) which makes the game hard, but overall this game is amazing. Love Idol however doesn't have a great art style in comparison to BS BUT you can play it offline AND it doesn't bombard you with ads! Salfy the downside of Love Idol is that it hasn't updated yet...
