I think it's long safe to bring it up about the Reinnes and Ser Bron of the Black Water as the suggestion doesn't really impact anything. I've been waiting for y'all to watch this to hear the full story to say it. But there is a mainly book theory that Bron is the youngest Rainne boy and survived and is using the Lannisters to reestablish his house. He would have been around the same age Bron recalls killing his first man.
One of the biggest tragedies in terms of story changes made by the show from the books is what they did to the Golden Company...mostly because they left out the OTHER Targaryen from the show..and how the Golden Company was his army and that they may have fought with Danny before the winner went to Westeros. That part of the story still to this day has not been released in the supposedly coming novel that Martin may now never allow to be released due to how much the show changed, altering story expectations.
Pudgy is correct. Dany picked up part of a tiny dragon skull from the rubble of the dragon pit and passed it to Jon as an example of the smallest dragons.
@williamshelton4318 "I don’t believe any dragon skull would be worthless, especially when everyone thought they went extinct. People freak out over tiny dinosaur bones nowadays." Nowadays. Of course dragon skulls would be valuable. But first find someone who pays for something like that. Paleontology is a relatively modern invention. And Game of Thrones is analog to the Middle Ages more or less. The common people of King's Landing have better shit (like surviving) to do than searching for skulls (even rare ones) that they maybe hopefully could sell to someone. The only ones who probably would be interested are the maesters and how much skulls do they need? And also the maesters would be stupid to not pick these skulls up themselves, they would need to varify where thr skull came frome (and that it actually is a dragon skull).
And it obviously wasn't part of the wight, because that was killed right in the middle, right in front of where Cersei was sitting, and jon and Dany were standing right next to the wall at the edge of the pit when they found the skull.
@@williamshelton4318 Indeed. A dragon skull would be very valuable... and it's just lying there? Yet another example of the writers desperately throwing fan service about in the hope we don't notice the show no longer has consistency or consequences.
Just a bit more context in the story about Castamere. Tywin wasn’t being a snake. He was 100% correct at the time. What the story told by Jaimie leaves out is that Tywin made 3 attempts to resolve the issue and was rebuffed each time. He realized rhe Reynes and Tarbecks were plotting on overthrowing the Lannisters for their own greedy reasons and tywins father would literally just run away and ignore what was happening. Tywin was forced to act when he knew his father wouldn’t. In the books, Tywin isn’t really proud of the events, instead he’s proud that he’s been able to keep the peace long enough that he has never had to be that violent again.
"never had to be that violent again" Tywin after this: 1- ordered his son's wife to be gang rape by his guards and then forced Tyrion to participate in the rape 2- massacred the people of King's Landing for no reason, 3- genocide the Riverlands.
@@VictorSilva-sc4hh I said “that violent again” and I stand by that. Let go in reverse order, shall we. He sacked kings landing during a war, that’s what happens in war. It’s not a one off random attack on a quiet and peaceful day. The Tyrells also nearly starved a whole castle to death and have never shown any sign of regret…why?? Because it was during wartime. The same holds true for the riverlands. The Tyrions wife gangr*pe thing…I’ll give you that. It was horrendous. But I never said Tywin was saintly. My ultimate point was Tywin crushed and destroyed and entire family and their line because he knew a message needed to be sent and he correctly stated he never had to preemptively destroy another family like that ever again. (Wartime is a separate issue).
@@m3driver245 The difference here is that King's Landing was defenseless, they opened the gates for the Lannister army and had no means to fight back, there's no reason for Tywin to slaughter them. I could accept what happened to the Riverlands was just war if exterminate them was not part of Tywin's plan. Tywin always go for the most violent option even if is not the smartest thing to do, he is praise for his brutality but most of the time he could handle things different with way less bloodshed and a better outcome.
I find it amazing that all of this came out of one man's head. All of the Houses, the characters, and the settings with full histories for each, and to have them all intertwined without error. It's just remarkable how imaginative GRR Martin is and I can only imagine how many years it took to create an entire world and keep everything straight so that nothing contradicts anything else. Now if he'd just finish the last book before he dies so we know what actually happened.
It helps that GRRM is a man of history, when there is so much medieval history to draw upon, it’s not difficult to imagine that he has many real life figures to draw upon as inspiration for the various houses and regions and characters. The more we learn, the more we can use. And Medieval English history is filled with various types of people. It’s not a coincidence that both Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon can be mapped onto the Wars of the Roses and The Anarchy.
In a very loose way. I mean they’re obviously points of inspiration, as are other events & cultures, the Italian condottieri for the sell-sword companies or Vikings for the Ironborn, for instance. But those ‘civil wars’ can’t really be mapped together with this in any genuine way
The actor who portrayed Rhaegar was not the same actor who played Viserys but the actor who played Viserys was Charles Dickens Great-great-great grandson
I kind of wish the show went into the Daenerys and Viserys childhood a bit. They were beggars on the streets. Dany went from that to where she is now. It’s insane
I think in building up Dany’s stories in those early seasons, Viserys had to be in an antagonistic state so that we would root for Dany. But I think if the show had added a different perspective or maybe some flashbacks, we could have seen Viserys a little differently. Imagine being 5 years old and have your family’s entire hopes and legacy on your shoulders, your mother and father and brother dead, you’re on your own caring for your baby sister, your guardian dies, you’re left to scrape and fight to survive while dodging assassins. To be honest, it’s a miracle Dany survived as long as she did to be married off or have a future, and part of that needs to be credited to Viserys trying to protect both of them. Yes he grew to be cruel and bitter but he was a kid who had everything taken away and tried his best and didn’t have better people around to raise him and guide him to be a better man and he lost his way. In a way his life was a tragedy. Dany named her dragon after him to remember the good part of her brother, the part that protected her.
About Viserys III not glorifying his ancestors dreams, i think he follows more the philosophy of Daemon from HotD: "Dreams didnt make us kings, dragons did."
Correct, Maggy the Frog was the woman that told a young Cersei her fortune. They choose Varys and Qyburn in that one segment because they are connected by the "Little Birds". Once Varys left Kings Landing, Qyburn took his place and has been using Varys Little Birds spy system.
Just a note: Arya abd Sansa couldnt have bested Little Finger alone. They got a massive help from Bran which is now a three eyed raven. I remember there was suppose to be a scene where Sansa go to Bran to ask him for help against Little Finger but pity it was off screen.
@@williamshelton4318Well he could have asked for trial by combat in the North, but he knew no one would fight for him and there's no way he could fight (and win) anyone else
Dany said that she names Viserion after Viserys because Viserion will become this good and everything that her brother isn’t. Aside from the fact that Viserion out of her three dragons is the sweetest and the most clingy out of the 3 of them.
If you remember the dragonpit was a common scene location in House of the Dragon. It's where the boys did their dragon training and the Pig was brought in, it is also where Rharnys exploded through the floor with her dragon when Aegon with crowned.
So funny that you are both hoping to hear more about Lyanna and Rhaegar’s initial encounter… you already know about it but did not connect the dots (rewatch Season 6 History & Lore). It is not confirmed but it is a very popular fan theory (and frankly enough quite a plausible explanation) that Lyanna was the mysterious Knight of the Laughing Tree who won a few rounds at the Harrenhal Tourney to defend Howland Reed’s honor before vanishing into thin air. Rhaegar guessed her identity and expressed his admiration by giving her a crown of blue roses when he won the tournament, acknowledging that she was the actual victor.
Aegon was a foreigner who came to westeros and just told them one day from this day on i will be the king.. this is why Dany is faced with such hostility from starks and tarlys and others.. but if u think about it.. everyone here is a foreigner.. the starks (first men) cMe and took the north from the Children.. and they not only took it they slaughtered the children.. at least tge targeryens didn't do that.. aegon was reasonable at least.. then the andals came.. and conquered it. So everyone technically is outsider
Yes let's all, just be under a dictatorship under the president of the country with the most nukes very reasonable, just as reasonable as saying that it's okay to threaten people to do as you want because you have a bomb, people like you really amuse me as they really seem to miss the whole point lol

I think Rhaegar and Lyanna first met at the tourney in Harrenhall. Lyanna is believed to be the knight of the laughing tree who defended Hawland Reed against the squires who bullied him . But the mad king was offended by her win and demanded that knight be braught to him . Rhaegar was the one in charge of investigating the mysterious knight (he probably found her) this also explains why he crowned her Queen of love and beauty . Because she was honorable and in his eyes deserved that title. There's a theory that Lyanna tried to contact her family and Robert after her wedding to Rhaegar but the letters were intercepted so they never knew the truth . And R×L only heard of what happened to the Starks months later .
Exactly. That’s why he crowed her. Not because she beautiful but because she was honorable and a woman and she couldn’t get any recognition besides the crown
I have a theory that Baelish saw them leaving and lied to Brandon Stark about how it looked like a kidnapping to him, knowing that Brandon would see red and get himself in trouble with the crown, but phrasing it vaguely enough that he could defend only have said what it looked like to him if he were to be confronted with the lie. He may have said something about how he thought he heard Rhaegar talk about taking her to King's Landing, knowing that it would be Aerys and not Rhaegar who saw his contempt, very likely leading to Brandon getting hurt. He probably didn't expect Rickard to follow and get himself killed, or Jon to be asked for Ned's and Robert's heads and rise in revolt, it spiraled way out of what he had imagined, but he found a way to capitalise on it, and that's what made him realise how beneficial it can be to him to sow chaos.
About Viserys, the brother of Daenerys : He wasn't always an asshole... He's a kid raised like a prince by a crazy, psychotic king, who saw his whole family executed during a rebellion, and who was forced to live in exile with his little sister. When their savior died, Viserys and Daenerys were left to fend for themselves. Viserys cared for his sister as best he could, but was forced into begging, and had to spend his entire youth thwarting Robert's plans to eliminate her. He even had to sell his mother's crown to survive, which he will never forgive himself. And he always think he will going to mary to Daenerys (like his ancestor's tradition), so give Daenerys to Drogon is a strong defeat in his psychology, like the sold of his mother's crown : The sold of his heritage... Finally, he spent his entire adolescence in fear, rejection and begging, which will cause him a strong bitterness, resentment, paranoia (he escaped numerous attempts at assassination), and finally madness. While he spent the first years of their exile protecting his little sister, he will gradually end up finding her unbearable and naive, who does not understand Viserys' obsessive need to seek at all costs to regain his crown (and he will end up sometimes becoming violent towards her). Viserys is indeed crushed by the weight of history, he wants to live up to his illustrious ancestors and could not tolerate seeing his lineage die out in misery and oblivion. It is there that he meets Illirio Mopatis and then plans to give his sister to Khal Drogo as a promise of his army. At her death, Daenerys will remember her brother as a protector, at the time of her tender childhood, and will understand that the disappointments of life will have twisted him, and it is in honor of the brother that he once was and not of the sad one he had become, whom she will name one of her dragons Viserion. Note: ALL Targaryens have this same genetic bias: A propensity to twist, when they undergo strong annoyance, setbacks, injustices, shocks. For example, the Mad King was an energetic and ambitious man during his childhood. It is especially after his kidnapping that the mad king will sink into madness, but he was not born that way. This trait is found in many Targaryens. For example, one could assume that Daemon's instability is also linked to his many annoyances that he suffered from his brother (even if thoses are still justified)
I am agree w' most of what u u said, glad there are readers who understand why he became like that, Except the madness part... Whatever reason is for some targaryens to become however they are applies to everyone, I know they're blood of dragons & stuff, but they're humans just like everyone else Anyone in any house in these situations would be like this, the pressure paranoia fear tends to twist anyone not just them...

The scene at the throne room is something that people should talk about but don't. It's supposed to put in question our own moralities. Most people see Jaime as a villain (and he was) but in that moment, he was a better man than good old dead Ned.
I love how rich the lore of this series is. I think watching these is amazing but in retrospect makes me wish we could have gotten that 9th or 10th season to really soak it all into the storyline through the finish
Meraxes was taken out by a Scorpian Bolt to the eye. Same thing that hit Drogon in the shoulder, but it hit Meraxes in the eye instead. @@williamshelton4318 Or maybe she'd hate him more, as a Targaryen Heir nestling in her family's midst would be very dangerous, thus present a threat to her own children. Previous friendship would not save Ned or Jon and maybe the whole family were Robert to learn of this betrayal. She could even make a secret deal with Robert so he could take Jon and pardon Ned and the Stark family. Cat would I think value her children's safety over her sister-in-law's dangerous son.
"We won't even have a castle to remember our name!" Uhm, you have a city of 250,000 people called Lannisport as well as an entire land-strip several leauges long called "Lann's point". Appearantly Jaime slept through his geography lessons.
@@williamshelton4318 Tywin answered that in earlier lore videos. "By keeping the Casterly name on the castle, Lann reminded the world of the price of getting in his way."
Tywin was truly ruthless. He drowned an entire house, including children. I share your question as to why they brought back Viserys for this. Harry Lloyd is great, but I think Daenerys at this point would have been a more natural choice to narrate the House Targeryan chapter.
If you guys liked the last alt shift X video you watched, I definitely recommend the others. Specifically the ones about the real Tyrion, Varys’ plan or who the Three-Eyed Raven (Bloodraven) is. I mean Ronnel Arryn was really just a little boy maybe 5 or 6 years old. Its hard to expect anything more from him as he acted as every boy would. Otherwise house Arryn and other lords of the Vale are known to be preety smart and just as honourable and loyal as the Starks for example. Of course Robin is exception but he is product of his crazy and overprotective mother Lysa(which was a Tully by birth).

In ASOIF, bending the knee" is a formal act of submission to a king, queen or lord, a recognition of authority and a demonstration of fealty. The submission makes the kneeler a vassal. IE, Torrhen Stark aka the King Who Knelt to Aegon The Conqueror. The King in the North title was revived after the Northern and River Lords rejected the Iron Throne and House Baratheon after Eddard Starks execution. Just 15 (17 in book) years earlier, under the Targaryen rule they and their warden were executed without trial. The Great Houses of the 7 Kingdoms were King of their regions. House Stark was once King in the North. Note the title difference, King In the North vs King of. One word suggests a greater vulnerability and responsiblity to the Vassals
The 3 dragons of Aegon and his sister-wives. Aegon-Balerion Rhaenys-Meraxes Visenya-Vhagar Vhagar is also the dragon "stolen" by Aemond one eye in House of the Dragon season 1.
Sorry if you knew that from before, but regarding Dorne, did you notice that Oberyn was called a Prince? House Martell is the only house allowed to use this title and that is because they were never defeated by the Targaryens. Keep in mind that during the period of the show "House of the Dragon" Dorne is still independent. Interesting enough, House Martell resisted the dragons but ended up bending the knee when the Targaryens were already dragonless (a few decades before Master Aemon was born).

The Golden Company was created by a bastard son of King Aegon IV the Unworthy (Great Grandson of Viserys, HOTD). Aegon IV was a notorious fornicator who fathered dozens of bastards. But he was in open conflict with his legitimate son (who was noble, where Aegon IV was one of the worst kings of the dynasty). To punish his son, Aegon IV left at his death a last poisoned gift to the kingdom: He legitimized all his bastard children. Of course, this caused problems in the succession. One of his bastards, Daemon Water, was a pure-blooded Targaryen bastard, for if he was born out of wedlock (his mother was Daena Targaryen). Aegon IV loved this bastard child more than his legitimate son, and entrusted him with the royal sword Blackfire, one of the symbols of royalty, and Daemons Water then abandoned his bastard name: "Water" (for the bastards of Kings landing), in favor of "Blackfire". Upon the death of Aegon IV the Unworthy, Daemon Blackfire founded the Golden Company and attempted to seize the throne. After the "first Blackfire Rebellion, he died at the hands of another of Aegon's bastard sons, Bryden River, loyal to the rightful heir. And this individual you know because he will become many years later... The three-eyed crow! As Daemon Blackfire had offspring, there have been several Blackfire revolts in history, and the last member of the Blackfire family was killed by none other than Barristan Selmy, which put an end to his life for good. the Targaryen bastard branch responsible for several civil wars!

Interesting how Aegon after the boiling of Harrenhal, walked and saw all the burned, dead bodies and decided he will make the iron throne out of his burned enemies swords. It reminded me of season 8 what happened in Kings Landing. Instead of being horrified of these ashes and horror, especially thinking about the fact the castle was so hot they had to wait for it to cool to enter. Aegon was hurt by what they did to him sending him chopped hands, and in return he released his rage with dragon fire. Just like Dany did in Kings landing looking at the Red Keep and what she lost with bells ringing. So Targaryen. Cercei will kill for her loved ones. Caitlyn would die for them. & a Targaryen will go to war/battle for them.
Why do people think Jon show is the prince who was promised. He is absolutely not, it does not even add up. Is it just because Jon's real name is Agon? and that he is named after Agon the Conqueror And Agon the Conqueror had a dream of the cold winter and the end of all men. Let me explain: The name Agon is a popular targaryen name, nothing else. Just because Jon is named after the Conqueror, it does not mean that Jon is the prince who was promised. Or is it something else . What do you base on that is Jon is the prince who was promised. The real prince who was promised is daenerys stormborn of house Targaryen. Because in the song of ice and fire, it is daenerys who gets the dragons back after 300 years, not Jon. It's Danny who brings fire, not Jon. Then comes in to this with the fact that Danny is not a prince but a princess. But in the episode 7x2, we learn that the prince who was promised can also be a princess. Thanks to malisadnra and missandei. And as missandei said during the long night "Without the dragon queen we would all be dead already" And she is right. Let's be honest Without Danny's two dragons and her army, Jon and his men would have been CRUSHED by the dead.. Don't get me wrong, I like jon, I do, but he doesn't live up to the name targaryen, which I understand 100% all his life he doesn't know who he really is.
@@arobin6695 Yes, but with what fire? The dragons don't exist thanks to Jon but thanks to Danny. jon rode Rhaegal twice, he is not the prince who was promised for it.

@@arobin6695 Sooner or later, Danny would have learned about the threat coming to the North. And Jon didn't recrint her, she saw them with her own eyes. With that said, she took HER entire army to fight the dead and They won.
@@warsameyassin5993 Dany had a vision of Rhaegar saying: ""He is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire." Jon is both Ice (Stark) and Fire (Targaryan), Dany is just Fire. They didnt win because Dany had dragons, they won because Jon brought everyone together, including the dragons and including his sister who only came to winterfell for Jon and who actually ended the threat.
In the early version of "The Song of Ice and Fire" guidebook - which is now considered semi-canon - the things around Rains were even more brutal. In this version, Tywin's forces took Tarbeckhall by assault and Lady Elin was captured and hanged from the top window of one of the fortress's towers. Tion the Red, one of her sons, was hacked to death at the castle gates. Lady Elin's youngest son, still a baby, was thrown into the castle well by one of Tywin's knights.
House of the Dragon could get to the Blackfyre stuff, there are already characters born already during/before Season 1 of House of the Dragon who will have interactions with the King that legitimizes his bastards. Being vague on purpose.
Little fingers death in the North is poetic. It goes to show that the honest men dies in the dishonest area while the dishonest man dies in an honest area
Just to make a point clear: The Golden Company that you`ll see in the 8th season of the series IS NOT THE REAL GOLDEN COMPANY. Nothing at all. I say it again, The Golden Company of the HB0 series is not the REAL GOLDEN COMPANY.
The show regularly dropped the ball when it came to male characters who were supposed to be exceptionally good-looking (like Rhaegar and Renly). The actor who played Rhaegar isn't ugly or anything but Rhaegar was supposed to be DAZZLING. The letdown was real.
If you take the throne literally. Uniting was done by conquering though and intimidation. There were other rulers. In the end everything once had a different owner.
You can say whatever you want, but Tywin was a great ruler. He was efficient, commanded respect, and knew when to make the right decisions. Obviously, he had his flaws, but speaking solely about his ability to govern, no other character could be a better king.
@@Septal06 in a world filled with so many rich characters with their own interesting stories and traits it’s a shock that someone’s number 1 would be a character who not only isn’t even in the story very long but is pretty bland in comparison
The Stark story about how they bent the knee to Aegon and in order to survive because they knew they have no chances. What made Sansa think she won’t bend the knee to Dany- she would risk her soldiers life? because her ancestors didn’t risk it 🤔
The Golden Company was a complete joke in Game of Thrones. The Blackfyres were founded by Daemon Blackfyre. His brother Aegor Bittersteel founded his own house called "Bittersteel" and his sigil was the dragonhorse on a yellow field that you saw. It is a combination of House Bracken and Targaryen because his mother was a Bracken. The Blackfyre sigil is just the Targaryen one but inverted "The Black Dragon", personally i think it looks way better i am a bit of a Blackfyre supporter myself. The Golden Company wants a Blackfyre on the throne and in the books they are with a young lad called "Young Griff" who says he is Aegon Targaryen who is thought to have been killed by the mountain during the rebellion but it is weird that the golden company follows a Targaryen when they are sworn enemies so it is very possible that Young Griff isnt Aegon Targaryen but Aegon Blackfyre.

@@arobin6695 No. The Andals swallowed up Old Town and The Hightowers. Basically The Andals usurped the Hightower heirarchy, and the Citadel and either destroyed or hid historical, factual data about Andal history and completely falsified the history of The First Men.
@@arobin6695 The show is an abomination compared to the books. GRRM will write a fact about a character that seems insignificant, and it won't make sense until 400 pages later. You can't catch everything by reading his books one time. Several readings are necessary to keep up.
Weird how every single reactor sees absolutely nothing wrong with a complete stranger from a foreign land, coming to your front doorstep and demanding you bend the knee, surrender your tradition and ideals or get nuked, medieval dragon style. House Targaryen are literal terrorists and I never got the support for them. Yeah it’s a cool story, but come on, let’s be realistic - were you one of the lords in Westeros before Aegon, and he made his demands you certainly wouldn’t be saying - “you know what - that’s a pretty sweet deal!”
Might makes right. He had more power than them so he's in charge. Just like those kings before them had more power than their farmers and citizens so they were in charge. That's just the way it works.
So the end of this episode.. when I first saw it I was an huge fan of the show. I watched since season one every season as it Aired. I had John figured out before this but I finally had the confirmation and it made me think about his and benjens reunion. Benjen in season 1 came down after Ned took the head of one of his rangers saying he saw white walkers. Benjen sees John and they have a good hug and John begs to become a nights watchmen. Benjen replies you don't know what you'd be giving up. What that really means John. And John disregards it and pleas his case. and I realized. Ned told only one person who John was. He couldn't lie to his brother about their sister's son. Benjen loved John till the end. Then I realized Maester aemon got to council his last living realitive and grew to love and appreciate him more then words. He even voted for his cause to become lord commander. His only living relative he got to meet after the war.

They literally said it; Dany practically spoke the lines about the cat-sized dragons that S&P had just been listening to in the Lore.
@@williamshelton4318 Who the hell would pick up a skull the size of a cat's skull? At that point, dragon skulls weren't valuable anymore.
@williamshelton4318
"I don’t believe any dragon skull would be worthless, especially when everyone thought they went extinct. People freak out over tiny dinosaur bones nowadays."
Nowadays.

At the time of House of the Dragon, Dorne is still independant from the Iron throne. This is why they can ally with the triarchy.
Technically Aegon didn’t STEAL the throne he MADE it.
"never had to be that violent again" Tywin after this:
1- ordered his son's wife to be gang rape by his guards and then forced Tyrion to participate in the rape
2- massacred the people of King's Landing for no reason,
3- genocide the Riverlands.

So funny that you are both hoping to hear more about Lyanna and Rhaegar’s initial encounter… you already know about it but did not connect the dots (rewatch Season 6 History & Lore).
About Viserys, the brother of Daenerys :
He wasn't always an asshole...
I am agree w' most of what u u said, glad there are readers who understand why he became like that,
Except the madness part... Whatever reason is for some targaryens to become however they are applies to everyone, I know they're blood of dragons & stuff, but they're humans just like everyone else
Anyone in any house in these situations would be like this, the pressure paranoia fear tends to twist anyone not just them...

I think they were defeated by king Daeron , Rhaenyra's grandson. It's true they resisted but they eventually bend the knee few years after his death .
@@merykhan97 but his victory did not last. Daeron indeed conquered Dorne but after his death Dorne became independent again. The peaceful annexation of Dorne happened later, decades later (I had to check it was 50 years after Daeron).

I thought Aegon the Unworthy will be the Aegon (son of Viserys from HOTD) that we just saw crowned at the end of HOTD and that his great bastards were already being set up by his lecherous behavior toward lowborn women and whores and servants…
@@iamthepope9167 Aegon II wasnt a great king but he wasnt a hated king like Aegon IV, his bastard son we saw in the fighting pit will likely play a role a little later on in HOTD

aegon 2 barely did any ruling to be called unworthy . Most of it done by his mother and grandfather . His title is aegon the elder and aegon the usurper not unworthy
Tywin was so badass. Honestly he’s so smart and a great strategist. That’s what Cercei meant that Tyrion ruined them when he killed Tywin

Despite what they showed in the visuals, it wasnt just a bow and arrow that shot Meraxes and killed Rhaenys too. It actually was Scorpion. That weapon wasnt built by Qyburn, it was a Dornish weapon. Hence why its called a scorpion since theyre desert ppl. Qyburn only studied what the Dornish did and rebuilt one himself so they all refer to it as his scorpion. But it was teh Dornish that built it and used it first on a dragon and killed it. And yes, both dragon and rider both died from it

Pudgey was right. Dany even told Jon the old quote in High Valyrian, "A dragonis not a slave,", the same thing she said to the slave owner in Astapor when she took the Unsullied from the slaver.
Strange how varys doesnt put any emphasis on the fact that orys actually married argella and had like 5 kids with her. The Durrandon bloodline lives on through her female line

Rhaegar Targaryen was played by Welsh actor Wilf Scolding. Viserys was played by English actor Harry Lloyd.
Back when the episode aired someone tweeted to Wilf Scolding, "Hey Rhaegar, you're wearing your brother's wig!" to which he replied, "Well he wasn't using it, was he?" 😂
Imagine enjoying season 7…
Yes - it makes no sense for the Golden Company and Randyll Tarly to fight for Cersei. The writers didn’t know what they were doing (or didn’t care).

Golden Company actually has 10 000 men and they tried to take Westeros 3 times with a Blackfyre as a claimant. And in the books they do not support Cersei. Why the hell would they, if the entire idea of the Golden Company is to put a Blackyre on the throne. Them supporting the Lannisters makes no sense at all.

One of the biggest tragedies in terms of story changes made by the show from the books is what they did to the Golden Company...mostly because they left out the OTHER Targaryen from the show..and how the Golden Company was his army and that they may have fought with Danny before the winner went to Westeros. That part of the story still to this day has not been released in the supposedly coming novel that Martin may now never allow to be released due to how much the show changed, altering story expectations.

it is said that uncle BENJEN knew of lyannas affair with rhegar and thats why he went to the wall - think about it ned was being fostered in the vale with robert - BENJEN his father rickard and lyanna were at winterfell - is it a reach to think that benjen and lyanna were close... its said ned sent him to the wall for not confessing he knew lyanna and rhaegar were "talking" or its said he went willing for one day he knew his newphew would arrive ie john (aegon)
It's understandable Tywin was so brutal but effective in it as his father was nearly brining their house to the ground as Tywin was acutally really weak and bad leader and he was the reason their house became a laughing stock by their own country men.
Now a reminder by their own national song Rains of castamere, to never laughs in Tywin face again.

I wonder if Neds reaction to Jamie killing Aerys is not just because Jamie broke his vow but also because he didnt give Aerys a chance to defend himself and opted to stab him in the back.
He's literally alive because Howland Reed stabbed Arther Dayne in the back and he lied his whole life about Jon's Parentage but can't wrap his mind around why Jamie had to do what he did . Talk about being hypocritical lol .
@@rahilrameez8635Also, only Ned, Howland, and Bran know the truth about Ned's fight with Arthur Dayne. The story everyone else knows makes Ned look more nobler and badass than he actually is. Actually, Pudgy is right. These are meant for after the season has concluded. How do we know? Because these stories were only available on purchase of the DVD collection for a given season. These were extras on each season DVD set. And, the DVD collections are only released after the season has finished.
They're meant to be watched before watching the season on DVD, that's why Randal Tarley mentions that Olenna is the only Tyrell left, that only makes sense before season 7, not after it.
@@arobin6695completely wrong. Based on their release date shows the intent of the order the creators meant for it to be watched. Perhaps you're too young for DVD, but bonus tracks are always meant for after the main content, not before. Besides, there are dead people (for example: Viserys Targaryen), speaking from a perspective they commonly held. Viserys was dead before season 7, and by your logic, makes no sense here. These are supposed to be stories similar to reading out of a diary ... a point in time in that person's mind ... which allows the viewers to throw their own bias on top of it, as they have seen certain events unfold.
If that doesn't sway you, Spartan literally said that they watch it at the end of the seasons to better avoid spoilers. The bonus scenes for each season literally have spoilers for the season just watched. You really think the creators intended to spoil their main show?
Finally, who in the world would have ever watched all of the bonus lore from season 1, without first having watched season 1 to see if they even care? All of this bonus stuff is meant for after the seasons (like their great mods have been ensuring). It's absolutely nuts to think otherwise.
@@stevesmith4600 There are no spoilers for that season in any history and lore videos. The purpose of the videos is to give viewers background information, that's information that would be useful to know before watching the series. A feature talking about House Tarly is shown before watching episodes taking place at the Tarly castle. A video talking about the War of the Ninepenny Kings is meant to be watched before a season where characters mention that war by name with no context or explanation of what it was. Most people arent going to watch the special features before the episodes but that's clearly the way they're meant to be watched.
Visenya 100% could've fed little King Ronnel to Vhagar if Queen Regent Sharra didn't submit.
I just got caught up watching yalls GOT journey lol. Wish I could do it all over again. Miss that feeling.
They were holding a small dragon skull and Dany was discussing it.
Jon is the only character who embodies both Ice and Fire, he unites the realm and leads them against the undead.

@@warsameyassin5993 Dany had a vision of Rhaegar saying: ""He is the prince that was promised, and his is the song of ice and fire."
Jon is both Ice (Stark) and Fire (Targaryan), Dany is just Fire.
When you hear Jaime tell the story of the Rains of Castamere it all makes sense why everyone was terrified of Tywin Lannister.

So the end of this episode.. when I first saw it I was an huge fan of the show. I watched since season one every season as it Aired. I had John figured out before this but I finally had the confirmation and it made me think about his and benjens reunion.
