De Zerbi’s start at Brighton has been nothing short of spectacular, continuing the Seagulls transformation into one of the most aggressive and entertaining teams in the league, all with a simple principle at its core: possession football, all over the pitch. It’s a principle that De Zerbi has maintained throughout his coaching career, and his style is instantly recognizable whether it’s Sassuolo, Shaktar or Brighton.
The stats behind De Zerbi’s revolution are seriously impressive, and brighton are amongst the best in the league for chances created and Goal Conversion rate, which in turn has led to a remarkable run of goals. In this video we take a look at what makes Brighton so dangerous, with an in-depth explanation of the revolutionary tactics used by the Italian Coach.

@@andyng5321 if it's 90% accuracy, that means that out of a 100 passes, 90 were completed to a teammate and 10 were incomplete either it went to the opposition or it went out of bounds. Brighton had the perfect team to work with De Zerbis tactics due to in no small part Potter building a very fluid high pass accuracy team that could work in multiple systems. Give potter enough time at Chelsea, and he will build them to a high level again, it will just not be the instant gratification that Chelsea fans have been used to. They've been the English galacticos for the last 20 years new they need to build a more solid foundation to compete with city, look at arsenal they gave Arteta time, and it's looking to finally pay out.

    Correct analysis.
We have had over a decade of "The press" winning the ball high up by showing the weakness in opposition defences to pass the ball out of trouble. Or face hoofing the ball up the other end. Thanks to Graham Potter the whole Brighton team are properly comfortable on the ball. So now with RDZ, they actually want "The press" and thrive off the opposition pushing too far forward, committing and leaving gaps behind. So this works well against the larger clubs that enact the press, such as City, Liverpool and United. Where Brighton have got to adjust is against teams that just sit back and say "come on them." Historically, that was a problem under Potter, beating United one week and then struggling against Bournemouth. But I think RDZ is working through it.

Ferguson is 18 and had scored a few goals. He is young, talented and getting game time! Brighton are playing amazing football at the moment, they'll evolve and get better. Keeping their best players will help, if Caicedo leaves I hope they get a windfall to bring in more quality.

It helps to have the defenders counter with speed too. No matter your tactic, having the athletic players exploit any press

I really hope this Brighton team can stay for a while. It seems like soon all their players and manager will get sucked up by the bigger teams and they'll have to start from zero again.

I just found this video, and as a United fan - I am worried, very worried. Don't get me wrong, we are good, but we can easily fall for this trap and be in trouble with our decimated backline. But I believe in our gaffer and his tactical intelligence so it's gonna be a a true chess match and game in the game itself between the coaches!
Full and high respect for Brighton!

Couldn't have nailed it better.. we've lost games almost "inexplicably" against teams, but all those games are against teams that sit back and defend.. it's either a 1 nil loss or 0-0 draw.. Everton and forrest being an exception.. have to say we lost 3 nil to Sean dyche's Burnley last year.... no surprises! Gg abion though, love this club! Even if we don't get something similar next year, we're aiming to be a big club without being a big club, showing a new way to be a football club without blowing loads of money

💥Brighton players LIVE DANGEROUSLY.😮‍💨 😮‍💨😮‍💨 I bet, at the beginning, Many Brighton fans got tons of white hair from the horror seeing every player, including the goalkeeper, purposely holds the ball so long to attract opponents & free other players. It is so dangerous play style, but they have mastered it. 👏

@@antonyroberts4892 Fair play! I’ve only really started to pay close attention to Brighton this year. I know to get to the prem you need a very high skill level but I just had Dunk down as a classic no nonsense English CB, wins his headers, organising the back 4/5, hard tacking, turns out he’s also a brilliant passer who helps control the game. Good luck in the race for Europa🤟🏼

can you do a video when Brighton beat Arsenal towards the end of the season? I'm not so good at analysis but I felt that in this game, this is where De Zerbi's system really shined

    • @okonomikatsu4723
      @okonomikatsu4723 10 месяцев назад

The system is really effective against team that wanted the ball as soon as possible, that’s why they win a lot against Liverpool. It’s really effective against Arsenal because they got everything to lose in that match. It’s only natural for Arsenal player to go for the ball, go for the press, trying to force any errors within early buildup of Brighton and kill the game early because the title is on the line. Brighton loves playing against this kind of opponent, because their “zonal trap” by playing the ball nearby their defensive lines and inviting pressure intentionally will be easy to implement. It’s like fishing in a pond full of hungry Piranha, it’s a near 100% guarantee that Arsenal attacking line and their pressing midfield line will bite the baits. Arsenal attacking and midfield line really fell right to Brighton traps in that match.

Hi bro, may I ask what kind of software did you use to make the highlight or drawings in the video such as 3:47? I could make them by PR or AE but it costs too much time, but with the pro software are normally too expensive. The ones you use in the video looks quite good enough, that's why I ask, thanks!
