A-line and flare silhouette has always always always been my go-to shape. I have wider hips and store fat in my hips so I avoid a lot of other styles because of it - so I’ll be SO GLAD if the classic silhouettes come back 🎉🎉🎉
I love mod but I kinda hope it doesn't become a trend cos I don't want to look like I'm a trend hopper, hopping on 60s fashion without being a fan before.
Commenting before I watch, some trends that I can't wait to wear in either 2023 end of year, or 2024: 1. Socks/tights with Mary janes/ballet flats. 2. Silver metallic (in the form of shoes for me, since I have some silver Mary janes). 3. Skirts paired with boots. 4. Festive vests (I have the best vest ever, themed around fall, but I'm finally gonna wear it in fall 2024, which for me, is in march I believe. 5. Bows!
the chunky charm necklaces I loove. I even still kind of like 2010s statement necklaces and am tempted to pick them up lol I also think you can diy them with junk at the thrift store like toys or broaches!
I love your shows and I love to see you thrifting with Karina and Carrie your friendship is so sweet. Your thrifting for your friends was so spot on you get their style and fit. I have so much fun watching your show.
baby bangs have been my signature my entire life so i love seeing others hype them up!! and i swear they look good on everyone who wants to rock them! edit: i’m also obsessed with the big square glasses!! and yes to socks and sandals/heels!
There have been so many trends that I initially thought I hated, but really learned to appreciate or outright love later on. Except for the baby bangs. I hated them 20 years ago and still do. But I love that all trends have their devoted fans and we can all be our different, authentic selves! Cheers to many awesome fashion experiences in 2024!
I'm so stoked! I feel ahead of the curve. I bought one of those wrap around watches and I've been wearing it as a choker instead and it gets compliments every time. I'm also big into the socks (or tights) with open toed heels. I noticed I was pinning like slacks + colorful or patterned tights + funky heels and knew I needed to lean into that more. And you got me super into those chunky charm necklaces! I might try my hand at building my own and just collecting the charms I want over time. This is super fun and I'm super hype! I hope you get to wear your fur coat soon!
I love that you bring fashion clothing history into this (2010s for example, it IS history) anyways, love your videos as always! Oh and coincidently I’m wearing a leopard print turtle neck under a t shirt hiking tomorrow!
Yes, I agree that finding jeans that go over your shoes is on my wish list as well. Not everyone can wear heels all day long and their jeans I’m a preschool teacher and I wear tennis shoes and I want the jeans to fit nicely over my shoes without being a complete flare.
I can get down with capris because I have long legs and everything is always cropped on me, but the charm necklace gives me hives just thinking about the sensory nightmare it would be lol. I was a small glasses person in the late 2000s/early 2010s, but once I went big I never went back!
@@aikanae1 yes and no. Capris are technically a cropped version of pants, but the term “cropped pants” or “crop pants” refer to just a few inches above the ankle and “capri pants” end more toward the knee or mid-shin. Everything is always too short on me, so I just lean into it. But I live in Chicago, nothing is too hot here right now lol.
@@JennaMcCallister crop pants look like capri's on me. I learned to be immune from worries about pant length a long time ago. I just had to suck up to wearing high water pants.
Charm necklaces gives me statement necklace + Pandora charm bracelet - like combining 2 things that everyone seemed to be wearing around the same time (at least in Ireland)
Does anyone remember watch rings from the late 90s and early 2000s? I had a little silver ring with a stretchy band that was a ring. The face was a baby blue heart. I miss her so much.
Love your videos :) This video reminded me that it's alright to follow my own style and not be always 'trendy'. If I had to follow these trends I wouldn't be happy with my style at all because these are simply just not my thing even if I love them other peoplo 😌
Super cool trend I wanna shout out, and hopefully wear in 2024: wool skinny scarves. My little sister is really good at crocheting so she did promise to make me one of these. So looking forward to it!
You would be a perfect candidate for a true baby bang! Not a bang tats just too short but an honest to goodness baby bang would be darling on you. Even if you dont like it your hair grows out really fast. Dont go socks/sandals route. It comes around every decade or so and few can carry it off. I had no idea charm necklaces were trending! Ive been buying charms at auctions and throft shops for the past year to work into my line of knotted necklaces so guess I was on to something......and Im old, lol! Id pat myself on the back but my arthritic shoulder wont let me😆❤
Super interesting that you have that reaction toward gold metallic clothing! I had the opposite: to me the metallic silver trend just looked so odd and off-putting, but I love the gold metallic.
I've worn baby bangs my entire life so I'm happy to see them back again!! I've also seen more knee length or midi skirt lengths being popular which is perfect for me because I'm a militant midi skirt wearer!! The thrift stores have been so kind lately!!
fashion brand company is doing a sweet ass set of “office wear” including the long gray pleated skirt. super into it, especially the items that they line with some insane printed pattern.
Haha I made a couple of those charm necklaces a few years ago that I love so much. I had so many pretty charms from gifts, handed down from my grandmothers and great aunt or that I've collected since I was a kid. I figured if I put them all in one necklace, I could wear them all at the same time and they would all get some spotlight instead of having to change them out on one single chain or get lost in a box/drawer. 🐱 I also love clock necklaces. I had one years ago that had the gears exposed which I thought was super cool but I gave it to a friend and was sad that I didn't have it anymore. Then last year I thrifted a vintage one with the gears exposed and was over the moon about it!!! I also think the early 2000s watch rings are cool!
7:09 I LOVE the big glasses for you! They fit your face so adorably and literally, it is so rare to see someone actually look good in them, and you ROCK them! I recently got new glasses and I tried the skinny ones, but I ended up getting those that fit MY face the best, not following fashion trends, like I did as a teen, since I know I will actually love these for years and years. Only difference between the two is one is more rounded, is brown/black with swarovski details and gold chain, and the other is more simple and square, with a silver chain. ALL tends covered!
The clock necklaces have been having a moment since 2021 lol also Sweat Pigeon has been doing them and they’re in LA so you don’t have to pay UK shipping
I like the charm necklaces and watch necklaces a lot. And bubble hems! I remember those from the 80s. I would totally wear a lagenlook style long linen skirt with a bubble hem.
I feel like for the loose jean, you just need to find the right stiffness, width and length, not saying it makes it easier, but length and width definitely plays a lot into how it falls
I totally relate to what you said about not showing your toes lol. I am the exact same way, I purposely don’t buy sandals because of this. I would actually be happy not seeing other peoples toes (outside of a pool/beach setting)
Capris are just cropped pants! I love them forever, especially belled. I am short but short waisted and the low rise really works for me with the exception of my belly. Would love to see you try low rise, you might get used to it. :) I also love a faux fur jacket. Leopard being my favorite. And a gray mens trouser is a staple to me.
Thank you for the baby bang validation! I’ve been rocking them since 2019 and people are not always receptive about them lol. The girls that get it, get it
my mums 18th birthday gift was a clock necklace and since she gave it to me i wear it almost everyday so im really glad clock necklaces are becoming popular again!!
I got so excited to see you mention baby bangs!!! They're my favorite bangs for me! If I don't cut my bangs in a v-shape then I cut them as baby bangs. I've been rocking them for the past few years so I'm stoked they're coming back! I love seeing them on other people too! 😍
I recently got my baby bangs cut and to anyone that thinks about cutting them: do it! You obviously need to choose the right ones for your face shape but then it’s the biggest confidence boost eeeeveeer! :)
i had diesel lace up boxing boots in 6th grade (i'm now turning 28 in 2024) and i loved them but got teased relentlessly 😭 they were a big gift and i only got to wear them a few times before retiring them bc of the teasing smh. wish i'd seen it through !!!!
Eeee I’ve been making and wearing vintage charm necklaces the past two years and I’ve DEF seen an uptick in people complimenting and asking where I got them!
This is definitely one of the best 2024 fashion trends videos I've seen so far! You always go into such great detail, and I love how you always mention ways to style trends and so on. Love your vids!
I'm goin to get into fitted capris❤ this summer. I bought one pair in black and cut off my used skinny jeans. Yes I'm so onboard leopard❤ print too. Yeah I'm a no to peach fuzz too. But so into fur.
I still have my ORIGINAL 80s/90s plastic charm necklace, CAN I BRING THAT BACK PLEASE cause i FREAKING LOVE IT!!!!! I do wear small glasses because I have a pretty small face, and it just looks better on me, I think.... oddly i wear big SUNglasses. go figure lol

my opinions that nobody asked for: 1. charm necklaces: not my personal vibe but i think they can be cute and personalized which is fun 2. capris: i’m a certified capri hater tbh 3. leopard/cheetah print: i think it can be cute but it very much deepens on the presentation 4. the small glasses: idk i know some people hate them but i love the styling ive seen of them. i could never pull it off tho 5. the big glasses: i love these too honestly, i think they are really flattering 6. screen printed slips: i don’t personally understand it but im sure ill find an interpretation of it that i like at some point 7. long boxing lace up sneakers: i’m conflicted tbh, i know i could never pull them off but i kind of like it in some of the pictures even tho i feel like i should hate them 8. clock necklaces: this is another one i do really think is fun but its def one of those things that i feel like is very micro-trendy and won’t be a long lasting staple in many wardrobes 9. baby bang: i loveeee even if i could never pull it off personally. i have always loved them honestly 10. bubble hem: not a fan tbh, it’s just not a sillhouette that i like except for when it’s a fantasy setting lmao 11. sandals/heels with socks: honestly i have always been a socks with sandals lover, like it’s just way more comfy but it’s also cute. 12. suits with shorts: not sure tbh, i mean i like the idea of it but i’m not much of a formal fashion person so it’s just not really a relevant trend to me. 13. gold metallics: i don’t really like it because it feels costumey most of the time imo but i don’t love silver metallics either 14. peach fuzz: i avoid pinks in general as its just not my personal vibe so this isn’t for me but it’s not the worst and it’s cute as a color 15. 3d flowers: i think it could be fun and sorta timeless but it’s a very varied trend so i can’t necessarily say one way or the other. 16. a line dresses: I LOVE MOD DRESSES (very excited this is coming back since i have a hard time finding them) 17. fur coats: from a practical standpoint i really dislike them bc i imagine them getting gross but i don’t mind them from a view standpoint. i’d never personally purchase one tho. 18. baggy jeans over shoe: i haven’t personally had a problem with this but i do agree it’s important haha 19. sweaters with collars: i love sweaters, i love fun collars, honestly what’s not to love haha 20. grey pleated skirts: i’m a fan of it since it’s super simple and versatile but i don’t know if i would be able to style it that well.
I love and always wear fur or faux fur coats so it is cool to see they are going to be in style I don't worry about things like that...I also have a hard time finding wide leg pants that I like that fit me around the waist or aren't too long
I've been searching for a good A line dress for over one year, but it's so hard to find them and even harder to find one that fits me well. There is always an area of the body that doesn't fit properly. I even tried to sew one, but I don't have enough experience yet, so it didn't end up exactly how I wanted.😸
i thrifted a pair of paris blues corduroy leopard pants on a random day when i wasn’t planning on thrifting and they’re my fave - hoping you get your pair!!!
I hate the lace up boots too. Love the clock necklaces are cool. They are a nod to the Victorian clock necklaces. They were more of a pendant necklace.
I didn't even know clock necklaces was a thing, I just did it the other day, like wrist watch ones, I did it because I thought it was different, I have worn the pocket watch ones for years because I collect Victorian items, but the wrist watch one, I just decided for fun and now they are a trend, can't decide now if I want to keep wearing them or say to heck with it, I love unique things and don't follow trends, but I may get behind that one.
I'm still just waiting for the resurgence of black ripped skinny jeans and edgy printed tops that's my comfort zone 🤣🤣 like I'm short very short can't wear the big baggy pants I also like showing my curves and not drowning in my clothes
I've had a big hyper fixation on a specific model of levi's jeans that is exactly the "wide leg over shoe" type of trend, so me and my 14 (I'm only slightly exaggerating) thrifted over-the-shoe baggy jeans are more than ready to head into 2024 😆
Omg I will always be an oversized sunglasses girl! I've been wearing my same glasses since 2010 and it's so hard to find newer pairs that are identical to the Hill's sunglasses! I love those oversized reading glasses I definitely need to add them to my accessory collection ❤
Alexa likes to push the envelope with fashion for sure lol and that's good! I feel like I've worn the same thing for years just found what I'm comfortable in and that's it
Flower crown are back but as full on gardens with greenery and leaves besides flowers, specially in the form of headbands. Im telling you because I made one and its beautiful and I need yall to get on this shit!!
I totally get the glasses thing I get major eye fatigue because they struggle not to focus on the frame and they give me a migraine if I can see the frame
I love baggy trousers but in the UK it's hard to get the right weather for them, if it's wet and you have them that perfect length ( I know what your talking about) they end up wet to yours knees no lie lol. I absolutely love the sock thing with everything sandels, open toe the lot probably because in in England lmao the stereotype brit abroad. And grey looks beautiful with pink and suits most people instead of black
I'm currently loving layering skirts and dresses and skirts. Vintage hats too. I love jeans with a long pointy toe shoe or boot and all you see of the shoe is the that long point. I absolutely hate the colour grey it so Meh 😶
A-line and flare silhouette has always always always been my go-to shape. I have wider hips and store fat in my hips so I avoid a lot of other styles because of it - so I’ll be SO GLAD if the classic silhouettes come back 🎉🎉🎉
You had me at mod dress. The 60's is my favorite decade of modern fashion!

17. fur coats: from a practical standpoint i really dislike them bc i imagine them getting gross but i don’t mind them from a view standpoint. i’d never personally purchase one tho.
18. baggy jeans over shoe: i haven’t personally had a problem with this but i do agree it’s important haha
19. sweaters with collars: i love sweaters, i love fun collars, honestly what’s not to love haha
20. grey pleated skirts: i’m a fan of it since it’s super simple and versatile but i don’t know if i would be able to style it that well.
I love and always wear fur or faux fur coats so it is cool to see they are going to be in style I don't worry about things like that...I also have a hard time finding wide leg pants that I like that fit me around the waist or aren't too long
When we got to the baby bang, I finally felt cool and in style for once lol
I've been searching for a good A line dress for over one year, but it's so hard to find them and even harder to find one that fits me well. There is always an area of the body that doesn't fit properly. I even tried to sew one, but I don't have enough experience yet, so it didn't end up exactly how I wanted.😸
i love that you have arden’s shirt on🫶 and the bows on your hair are so cute!!
i thrifted a pair of paris blues corduroy leopard pants on a random day when i wasn’t planning on thrifting and they’re my fave - hoping you get your pair!!!
i love the socks with sandals one because i do that already haha
I've had a big hyper fixation on a specific model of levi's jeans that is exactly the "wide leg over shoe" type of trend, so me and my 14 (I'm only slightly exaggerating) thrifted over-the-shoe baggy jeans are more than ready to head into 2024 😆
Your hair and shirt are both sooo cute!!
Omg I will always be an oversized sunglasses girl! I've been wearing my same glasses since 2010 and it's so hard to find newer pairs that are identical to the Hill's sunglasses! I love those oversized reading glasses I definitely need to add them to my accessory collection ❤
I love capris! Cut a few pairs of skinny jeans into capris so they fit me perfectly!
Girl your hair looks so nice and cute 🫶 have a great weekend!
Alexa likes to push the envelope with fashion for sure lol and that's good! I feel like I've worn the same thing for years just found what I'm comfortable in and that's it
I haven’t seen a few of these yet! Thank you SO much for the inspo
capris are fine but in a 50s-60s way, like fun colors/prints and high-waisted
Your hair looks super cute and your shorter bangs are very fun as well (:
Feeling blessed that we got this video after the gift that was Thriftmas ❤
I would like to see a video of what the girls got you for Christmas 🎄
BAGGY WIDE LEGGED JEANS FTW ❤❤❤❤
Omg not the flava flave clock necklaces hahaha I wish I could wear cool big glasses. 😢 My prescription is too strong booo
Unrelated, but your natural hair color is so pretty! I'm loving the ombre braids
the amount of times BABY BANG was said lmao
I'm currently loving layering skirts and dresses and skirts. Vintage hats too. I love jeans with a long pointy toe shoe or boot and all you see of the shoe is the that long point. I absolutely hate the colour grey it so Meh 😶
Chest looks so amazing in that shirt. The bra is doing some excellent work. Lord have mercy.
