Not sure if someone else commented this but for the bow, just put a rubber band (the tiny clear ones work best for fine short hair) in ur hair first then clip the bow in ur hair above the rubber band. The bow will hide the rubber band and the rubber band will keep the bow from falling out. I do this all the time for my daughters hair and it works great!
Yep. Growing up in the 80s and 90s when hair bows were really a big deal, I always had to use a regular ponytail holder and then clip the bow above it. A lot of even small barrettes would slide straight out of my hair.
thank you; I ran to type this comment as soon as I heard her address the bow issue she had lol cause I was like girlllllie there’s such an easy solution for this so don’t get rid of it!
I find that my biggest regrets are always "good enough" pieces. For a while I had tried to be secondhand only but being midsized makes it more difficult to find my perfect piece so I often would thrift stuff that wasn't totally what I wanted, but was the best I could find I'm my size. Of course I ended up not wearing them as much as I thought. This year I started buying new stuff again. Even if fast fashion isnt good for the planet, it's easier on my mind and my self image to buy one piece that's absolutely perfect instead of 3-4 good enoughs that I never wear. But before buying new I try to make sure to search for the item secondhand first.
I have a mindset of "that'll be good enough for work." We can wear navy, white, or black tops, and jeans or khakis. We also wear aprons so ill-fitting clothes get covered. I also want to be comfy and unrestricted since I have to kneel or reach above me for things.
I've been in that cycle before and started buying a couple things from fast fashion brands because I was never fully satisfied and confident in the things I found thrifting. The biggest thing I keep in mind is to look at the tag/materials. If something is like all polyester I won't buy it because I know it will deteriorate so quick. If I have to buy from fast fashion I try to be super intentional about getting pieces I can have and wear for a very long time.
YES TO THIS 👏🏻 I only buy EXACTLY what I want now. Not an “it’s close” item. Fit is so important in how an outfit looks. Also buying the color I actually want, etc.
for the denim skirt, you might be able to get it tailored! learning how to alter my clothes saved me a lot of regrets because when things fit me just right i love them sm more :)
definitely! Tailoring clothes is my next option if I don't love the way clothes fit me. Sometimes the most subtle alterations make a whole lot of difference to how the garment wears on the body. Especially when thrifting tailoring is a handy skill since not all clothes are a perfect fit
I would love love love to see you do a video where you take items to be tailored. There are inexpensive tailors and it can really make those pricey purchases and imperfect thrift finds better!
I spent 2 hours in goodwill yesterday and instead of buying EVERYTHING that was cute, I made an insta reel like you do about the cute stuff that was there that I didn’t get. It was such a fun process showing all of the gems!! I love videos like this because it helps me edit down my cart and leave some thrifting karma for others!!
I love videos like this. I’m going through the weird growing pains of reevaluating my style and the clothes I have. I feel like I’ve influenced myself into buying or doing diys that I definitely regret now and some things, you just can’t take back. Thank you for being transparent. Love your videos!
Color analysis was 10000% worth it for me. It has honestly saved me from buying things that I liked *looking at* but not ON my body/face. And that was revolutionary for me and my closet. Even if you don’t follow it 100% of the time (I definitely don’t) it has saved me countless times and I feel so good in my best colors!! I think you should get one done! I did mine virtually with Carol Brailey, maybe you could collab on RUclips 😊
Same here, also with Carol. Clothes are expensive, so when buying I want to at least have a palette of my best colours to keep in mind. It will guide my shopping essentially for the rest of my life so definitely worth it.
Tip for the bow: use a small elastic to tie your hair (like half up half down) THEN put the clip above the elastic, so that if it slides down it won’t slide past the elastic!
For my Dr Marten Mary Janes, I just leave my buckle on a slightly lose setting so I can just slide my foot in. Ain't no way I'm undoing it every time 😂😅
Yeah same here. Then the leather stretches out and you can tighten them back up over time. I’ve had my pair for five years now with regular use. Definitely one of the best gifts I’ve ever gotten.
Love this level of thoughtfulness and analysis. Unfortunately one often has to try things to find out what’s a personal no-no, which is why it’s best to do it secondhand as you often do since more sustainable and less expensive. For the denim skirt, there’s a hack where you cut two 2-3 inch lengths of elastic (about 3/4 or 1 inch wide) and hand sew their ends to the inside sides of the skirt in such a way as to scrunch the sides there. Pin and try various positioning to get the level of snugness you want, then hand sew down the ends of the elastic (add Fray Check if you have some to the elastic ends) using matching blue embroidery thread (stronger than regular thread), and also tack the elastic down in the middle at the seam so it doesn’t pop up above the waistline. See if that helps. And if it doesn’t, you can easily snip the embroidery thread and remove the elastic pieces if you still need to resell.
The bit about sheer stuff made me think about how even the influencers who are wearing that stuff ‘outside’ even have shared occasionally that they also wear more conservative clothes and then change into that just for the pic. Like some of us have this idea in our brain that there are other people wearing some of this stuff out and about cuz we see isolated pics of it but that’s not even the case 🫠🫠
i have taught myself if there’s anything that i wish was different on a piece / not exactly what i wanted but similar , i will not get it . too many times i have ended up regretting such purchases bc i still end up wishing for my original idea . this is a super good video idea , always love ur trend deinfluencing content 💞
For me, if there's some small thing I wish was different, I buy it and then change that thing (if it's changeable). If it's a little bit too big in the waist: I take it in. If it's sleeves are too long: I shorten them. If I hate the buttons: I switch them out. If I love the skirt part of a dress but hate the bodice: I chop it off and turn it into a skirt. I never expect anything mass produced to fit me perfectly.
@@lestranged that's a good idea but sadly i'm not that good at thrift flipping clothes :,+) the highest level of expertise for me is just cropping smth lol , but i'm mainly talking abt when there's smth slightly off abt a piece ( like u wish it was a slightly different color or fabric , fit i can play around w w belts , etc )
I don't even consider minor repair or hemming to be a thrift flip because you often have to do that with brand new mass produced clothes too. To me a thrift flip is like taking a pair of jeans and turning it into a corset. complete transformation. @@nicole-rb4iw
Totally relate to denim maxi skirt. The hips need to be just a tiny bit wider and the waist a bit more cinched in order to fit perfectly without riding up
The Agolde fit issue is something that can easily be fixed with a few inches of thread. If you like everything else about the skirt, it's worth altering it yourself or taking it to a tailor. Clothing isn't made for us, so it we shouldn't hesitate to get our favorite pieces altered.
As you've paid a lot for the shoes I think it might be well worth it to take them to a cobbler and ask them to replace the buckle to a different kind of buckle. There are buckles with snap attachment etc. A cobbler can easily switch them for you 😊 That way putting them on will be much faster and you'll get more wear out of them.
I’ve been quite interested in the colour analysis recently and I think you may be a True Spring. It’s definitely helpful to do a bit of research into it so you don’t feel the need to drop money on the official analysis, limiting my purchases to my palette colours has been another way for me to reduce over consumption and regret :)
I got a patchwork leather jacket that’s a lot like the one you got and I think it’s so cute and I wear it but very rarely because of the pockets and it’s a pretty slim fit which generally I don’t like but I still got it bc I *needed* it. However about a year later I found another patchwork leather jacket that’s wayyyy more my style, really oversized and slouchy and I wear it all the time. All to say what you want is out there.
Before you give the big bow away, I wonder if you’ve tried the Bobby pin trick? Where you make an “x” with your Bobby pins where you want the bow to be and you clip them either on top or actually into the Bobby pins. They kinda hold each other up. Just a suggestion to try. It’s such a cute bow 💜
I think sheer works for layering or as a detail (sleeves, collar, inserts, etc) on a garment. Wearing a head to toe sheer, see-thru dress would probably not work for most of us. But layering a sheer lace skirt over another skirt in maybe a contrasting color adds texture & visual interest. A sheer crop top worn over a maxi tank dress is another way to make it work. I have owned many sheer blouses & always wore a cami underneath. I was never brave enough not to.
We all regret wearing or buying something at some point in our lives. It happens 😊 I think we all have looked at old pictures and went " what the heck was I thinking wearing that??" Lol. Especially me in the early 2000's. On the flip side, I could kick myself for getting rid of amazing pieces from way back in the day that I would wear now.
I get the high rise to midrise pipeline ~ I was totally a high rise pants type of girlie but now I realize midrise actually looks better on me. It has the leg lengthening effect of the highrise but the casual cool of the low rise
Aww! I'm so sad that you regret these items, but I hope you know that talking about them is really helpful! I also get trapped in a must-have mindset and it feels like a compulsion tbh. Also sooooo relatable about not letting the store employees down 😢 I thought I was the only one LOL. 😅
Alexa, for the hair bow you can just replace the clip part with one that works in your fine hair. Keep the bow, take it off the clip and glue or sew it to a better clip. Several of these issues can be fixed with very easy DIYs. The long denim skirt gapping at the waist: just alter it or take it to be altered! I am so used to fixing small issues myself that it always shocks me people will get rid of something they otherwise like over such small , fixable issues.
Regarding which shade of brown would suit you: in my unprofessional but somewhat informed opinion Im sure you’re definitely a spring of some sort, meaning a clear and warm brown would look great. ❤
Just went through my closet again yesterday and oh man, I had a couple of things I regretted buying. Taking this as a good reflection to be more aware next time. 🙏🏻
It's interesting, because I feel that as a thrifter, I don't follow trends a lot. Maybe my local thrift stores and vintage stores don't have a lot of trendy items, or that I'm just not gravitating towards them. The only "trendy" thing I can think of that I thrifted this year was a puffer vest, which fits the "Gorpcore" trend. There are my tabis, but I didn't thrift them and had to deliberately seek them out on Etsy.
Tip for your bow… style it with a half up and half down pony and then add the bow right above the clip! I have extremely thick hair and not a single bow clip will ever hold my hair so I’m always finessing hahaha
okay about the doc mary janes-I also hate having to buckle shoes and I have the mary janes and my biggest advice that works for me is I have a shoehorn and I just slip my foot in using the shoehorn instead of unbuckling and buckling, don’t know if it would work for you but it’s hugely convenient for me and thought I’d recommend! I actually love shoehorns for all docs because it helps the boots not crease at the heel!
💘Fell in love with an extra long shoe horn that was given by Occupational Therapy after I broke my 🦵leg last year. No bending or awkwardness necessary to slip my foot right into my shoes. 😉My able bodied bestie tried it after I raved about it. He found one at Daiso Japan for $2 or so. (They are a Japanese style dollar store in greater LA area.) 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
This is such a great video. I’ve been in the process this year of learning to not buy clothes just because I like how they look. I have really started to think about pieces before I buy them in a more practical and critical way, and 99% of the time I end up not even wanting something if I give it an extra few minutes of thought. For me it helps to think about how I will feel when the item actually is in my possession. Will I be happy or will I feel guilty that I bought something I didn’t need and probably won’t wear. I’ve been doing the same thing with household decor and knickknacks.
Great video! I can relate to so many things you brought up. Being influenced by sales people, “it’s meant to be” mindset and most of all the over consuming thoughts of “I have to have this one perfect piece”. I guess just over consumption, lol. Thanks Alexa💜
really interesting vid ! for your maxi skirt could you see someone to get it tailored ? idk in canada but where I live you can find places who can make adjustments to clothes for like 5/10€
If you get a clip/bow like that again, you can always tie your hair up and then put the clip on! I have to do that because the clips don’t hold enough hair for me. It’s also really easy to change the clip
With that long denim skirt, I love how it looks on you but I get what you mean! I would get it taken in at the waist (or do it yourself), and make a split on the front seam up until slightly below your knees. I think that would change the whole fit of it!
noo I have those doc martens and they are really comfortable! but hers do look really stiff i might be wrong but it looks like she just needs to break them in
ohhh I get you girl about the clip not being shown on ads. I also have thin fine hair and I have a whole drawer and so many clips that I just can't wear....but I love bows so much
put a loose braid or two braids pulling to the back of your head and than put the bow in bobby pins slip out of my hair if i dont put some sort of texture in it like a curl or wave
Relate to this sooo much! I always have to remind myself when I get drawn to certain styles or colours that even if I love them on the hanger I just won't wear them day to day!
Maybe try tucking something in to fill in the gap when it hikes up. I know you are the queen of styling so I hope the maxi denim skirt works out someday
I LOVE this videos, I have a hard time returning something that doesn’t really work for me if it’s *sort of* what I was looking for and being patient and cost effective for the right piece and these really help me with that mindset!!
The sheer is so cute but so difficult as a person living in a state where people would definitely NOT get the vision and would just think bad things of me 😭
Omg I bought the doc Mary Jane shoes on impulse too. I am a Mary Jane girl and I do wear them a lot but my god they still give me the worst blisters and I don't enjoy wearing them due to pain. It's so weird because I have the doc oxfords and classic boots and they were comfortable from day one and never hurt my feet. I hate the buckle too 😂 but they look so cute.
For the denim maxi skirt, you could always have the sides taken in by either a tailor or yourself, or possibly sew in an elastic so that it could stretch over your hips/butt when you're putting it on! However after that, if you still don't like it, when you could always sell it :)
as someone who has the doc martens mary janes, do keep them! once i broke in my pair of them i could slip them on very easily with the help of one of those shoe thingies and now they are my most comfortable and easy to put on/take off shoes! i do not use the buckles anymore at all
the skirt would be a super easy fix for a tailor. I would suggest doing it yourself, but since it's a nice piece, probably not beginner-friendly, and it would be worth the expense for a professional.
On the bow, it looks like you could slid the bad clip out and put a more toothy alligator clip in that will hold to your hair better... I imagine your friend will find an issue with it as well as that clip looked too smooth to catch hair in a way to hold that big bow up.
Yesss! I hate the sheer trend. Like a few items yes. But whenever I shop it's always sheer, cropped backless. Like I might aswell not be wearing clothes. I just want to wear nice but comfy clothes I can go out in damn it! 🤣😭
Oh that Agolde skirt... I bought it too and everything you said is true. I did pay for it full price AND had to get it altered cause it was too long. Such a regret!
I think you're definitely some kind of spring, and with knowing that you can look at spring color pallettes. They normally don't include colors like that jacket.
I have those same Dr Martens mary janes in brown (they were a gift from my husband) and I don't wear them much because they are too heavy! Even heavier than boots... And I bought the black oxfords in whst I thought was my size but they were too big. Then I figured out they were not the 1461 for women but the unisex. Sold them a couple of months ago.
About not being able to try stuff on at thrift stores without dressing rooms, maybe you could make a video about what to wear to go thrifting? Wearing something like leggings and a bralette under a loose jacket makes it way easier to try on stuff like dresses or skirts without getting naked in the aisles. It is still a struggle though, I always seem to end up not being able to tell if my bra straps or seams are showing through because the fabric of the garment is too clingy/sheer or because I'm wearing the wrong bra for it. (I know if a top requires me to wear an undershirt I'm just not gonna end up reaching for it.)
I have those docs. Yeah the buckles are annoying to do up and they press against the top of my foot causing pain after a while. But I guess that’s a classic doc lol
Your hair looks so cute today! I just wanted to comment on the whole "brown" situation. Brown can be a tricky color. I personally think you'd look best in warmer tones, a nice warm chocolate or even reddish-brown tones. But that's my opinion. You wear whatever makes you feel the most confident. I know you'll choose well.
I hate that thrift stores don’t have dressing rooms anymore. It’s sooo awkward trying on clothes over my clothes in the middle of an isle and then to still get home and try it on at home and realized I made a bad purchase lol
@@duchessedeberne3909 I’m not entirely sure but it was a result of the pandemic at least at my stores. I was assuming they would bring them back afterwards like every other store but the value village by my house still has not and I don’t think they are planning to bring them back unfortunately.
I actually ended up doing that with another pair of jeans and it literally changed my life so definitely going to do it with the Agolde skirt! I honestly didn’t even realize it until adding that clip!
I bought those same Doc Marten Mary Janes in 2007. I had wanted them for ages. Very expensive. I tried so hard to like wearing them but they were so stiff and just wouldn't break in 😢.
Alexa, why don’t you get the maxi denim skirt tailored to fit you? The best dressed women that I have known understand tailoring is essential to their whole look! If you do this you might feel like the skirt is truly designed for you. When you tried it on I noticed the gaping fit as you have a small waist. The fit in the hips and the length look great. I hope you get the made to fit tailoring! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us 😊
Idk if anyone else commented this but as someone who tailors clothes a lot, adding darts to the back of the denim skirt would solve the issue. The waist is too big. It probably does need to sit slightly higher to clear your hips more comfortably but I can’t tell for sure. But a good tailor can do it easily.
Ugh noooo I totally relate to the size 9.5-10 shoe thing and buying thrift just because it’s in my size 😂! “It’s in my size?! Must buy!” Annnnd then the regret when I realize it hurts my toes or has terrible arch support and I would’ve noticed normally except it was thrift and a one time only type situation. For the brown tones… weird idea, but what if you go to a fabric store like Joann with a friend to hold your camera and take good photos of you holding up various shades and tones of brown? The quilting cotton section is in rainbow order and you can probably find a lot of tones all in one place. Then you go home and look at the photos and consider which you looked “best” in! 😂
I've been wanting to buy a big clip on bow like that bc I never wear hair accessories but wanna change it up and thought those big bows would be perfect bc I have short hair and it's hard to really style but my hair is really fine and soft, I didn't think to pay attention to the clip!! good to know for the future, altho some comments left some great solutions so if I do end up with a bow with the wrong clip for some reason I'll try doing something to fix it lol. I've had small hair clips I've tried using before and I haaate how easily they slip unless I rlly put them on tight and they usually still end up slipping over time. I thought that was just a thing that happened to everyone and didn't realize it was certain clips with certain hair types lmfao.
Not sure if someone else commented this but for the bow, just put a rubber band (the tiny clear ones work best for fine short hair) in ur hair first then clip the bow in ur hair above the rubber band.
Ellie Jean Royden is great at explaining how all these break down in her videos 😊
i think the midrise bathing bottoms do suit you very well, like the silhouette compliments your shape
I have a white pair of Mary Jane doc Martin's, and I wear mine EVERY SINGLE DAY. They go with every outfit and to me they are so comfy
I got a purple pair.. they’re so squeaky!! Any advice?
Just went through my closet again yesterday and oh man, I had a couple of things I regretted buying. Taking this as a good reflection to be more aware next time. 🙏🏻
This is the perfect example of excessive consumerism and buying stuff just because others have it. I used to love these videos but now idk
I love the doc Martens in softer, pebbled leathers. They're so much easier to work with, especially after I've treated them with mink oil
Tip for your bow… style it with a half up and half down pony and then add the bow right above the clip! I have extremely thick hair and not a single bow clip will ever hold my hair so I’m always finessing hahaha
You can try to put an elastic in the back half of the denim skirt - rather easy sewing project/get it altered
okay about the doc mary janes-I also hate having to buckle shoes and I have the mary janes and my biggest advice that works for me is I have a shoehorn and I just slip my foot in using the shoehorn instead of unbuckling and buckling, don’t know if it would work for you but it’s hugely convenient for me and thought I’d recommend! I actually love shoehorns for all docs because it helps the boots not crease at the heel!
We severely underuse shoehorns as a society
@@katc2040 We? lol they're a staple item in every home here in Sweden, everyone has at least one.
(They are a Japanese style dollar store in greater LA area.)

I have fine hair and most clips slide out with any weight. The only way you can wear it is change out the clip or put the clip above a low ponytail
You can use those mini elastics to put the clip through to hold it in place. I don't wear that style anymore but that's what I did.
I have also fine hair and I first tie my hair with a clear elastic and then clip my bows so it works for me then!!
I was actually going to buy the doc martens Mary Janes but went with Demonia ones last night!!! I’m so glad you covered that lol
noo I have those doc martens and they are really comfortable! but hers do look really stiff i might be wrong but it looks like she just needs to break them in
ohhh I get you girl about the clip not being shown on ads. I also have thin fine hair and I have a whole drawer and so many clips that I just can't wear....but I love bows so much
I love clips but I only buy smaller ones cuz my hair is too thin lol
put a loose braid or two braids pulling to the back of your head and than put the bow in bobby pins slip out of my hair if i dont put some sort of texture in it like a curl or wave
the buckles on the doc martens mary janes are IMPOSSIBLEEE i thought it was a me-problem lol i feel so seen ...
Something like the Agolde skirt, definitely worth getting it altered to your waist if you like the style/quality
Relate to this sooo much! I always have to remind myself when I get drawn to certain styles or colours that even if I love them on the hanger I just won't wear them day to day!
tbh i think the denim skirt needs tailoring, the waist is too wide, that’s why it looks a bit off
I have those same Djerf avenue swim bottoms and they are perfectly fine in the water just fyi :)
Indeed, the sheer lace dress will be beautiful for winter with tights and a sweater over it
You can also narrow the maxi denim skirt at the waist
Maybe try tucking something in to fill in the gap when it hikes up. I know you are the queen of styling so I hope the maxi denim skirt works out someday
Love your videos. I’ve bought some regrets so I know the sunken feeling and aggravation. Look forward to your next video
the overthinking and obsessing over styles of clothing is so relatable haha
I LOVE this videos, I have a hard time returning something that doesn’t really work for me if it’s *sort of* what I was looking for and being patient and cost effective for the right piece and these really help me with that mindset!!
Try a French Barrette clip for fine hair! its soooo good for fine hair
I recommend taking the denim skirt in to get properly tailored. It’s worth it for a classic piece that you’ve already invested real money in.
as someone who has the doc martens mary janes, do keep them! once i broke in my pair of them i could slip them on very easily with the help of one of those shoe thingies and now they are my most comfortable and easy to put on/take off shoes! i do not use the buckles anymore at all
i love your cat tattoo omg!!
I love love the denim skirt
the skirt would be a super easy fix for a tailor. I would suggest doing it yourself, but since it's a nice piece, probably not beginner-friendly, and it would be worth the expense for a professional.
Man I’ve had those Mary janes in my cart for ever…! I needed this video haha
I think it'd be worth getting the denim skirt tailored to fit your waist properly! especially if you love it and will get good wear out of it.
I feel like you should get the Agolde skirt tailored
I have those same Dr Martens mary janes in brown (they were a gift from my husband) and I don't wear them much because they are too heavy! Even heavier than boots... And I bought the black oxfords in whst I thought was my size but they were too big. Then I figured out they were not the 1461 for women but the unisex. Sold them a couple of months ago.
You can also hot glue a cut, fat rubber band on the clip of the bow so it has some grip to it!
Being so open to try is a good thing, I think! But yes, I also have purchases that were 60 bucks staring at me from the closet…. 😂💀
It’s sooo awkward trying on clothes over my clothes in the middle of an isle and then to still get home and try it on at home and realized I made a bad purchase lol
ikr. i don’t understand why we can’t use the fitting rooms anymore
What is the reason why they do this? Hygene?
@@duchessedeberne3909 I’m not entirely sure but it was a result of the pandemic at least at my stores. I was assuming they would bring them back afterwards like every other store but the value village by my house still has not and I don’t think they are planning to bring them back unfortunately.
Demon skirts tend to scoot up on me too but I imagine a long one would be worse
honestly, i think a good low rise denim maxi skirt would def work for you
I think the bow would stay in well if you do a rubber band to gather a little hair back and clip it into the rubber band.
Girl, just get the maxi skirt taken in on the waist, it just needs tailoring
I actually ended up doing that with another pair of jeans and it literally changed my life so definitely going to do it with the Agolde skirt! I honestly didn’t even realize it until adding that clip!
I would love to see you get color analysis done!
Wait i love those lace socks 😭 theyd be sooo cute with a lingerie dress and loafers
The Mary Jane docs are impossible to unbuckle, but I just use a shoe horn and never ever unbuckle them. Maybe do that? It makes them slip ons.
Anyone know what the boots are at 3:24? They're absolutely gorgeous 😢
I bought those same Doc Marten Mary Janes in 2007. I had wanted them for ages. Very expensive. I tried so hard to like wearing them but they were so stiff and just wouldn't break in 😢.
I had brown ones when I was in HS, 1980’s . To bad I got rid of them 😢
knew you'd try mid rise jeans & luv em like my generation do...Gen X by the way...hugs from central Ontario Canada ❤️
I’ve never been able to be this early, I’m so excited
deffo pls do the opposite of this too i'd be excited to see ur favs from this year!
Definitely will be in December 😉❤️
I think the lace socks look really cute on u and I like the docs Mary Janes 😻
I need to get new work clothes. I'm changing to more formal environment in january. I've made some mistakes... but im learning.
I feel like cooler toned, darker browns would look good on you😊
Ugh noooo I totally relate to the size 9.5-10 shoe thing and buying thrift just because it’s in my size 😂!
Omgg the puma😩😩😩😩😩😩😩😩 I need them
I've been wanting to buy a big clip on bow like that bc I never wear hair accessories but wanna change it up and thought those big bows would be perfect bc I have short hair and it's hard to really style but my hair is really fine and soft, I didn't think to pay attention to the clip!! good to know for the future, altho some comments left some great solutions so if I do end up with a bow with the wrong clip for some reason I'll try doing something to fix it lol. I've had small hair clips I've tried using before and I haaate how easily they slip unless I rlly put them on tight and they usually still end up slipping over time. I thought that was just a thing that happened to everyone and didn't realize it was certain clips with certain hair types lmfao.
