Not only did he have singers that were trained in musical theory and performance from the age of 6, he also had different musical taste to a modern audience. Par Example, Mozart absolutely detested Vibrato throughout, he preferred straight tones. There are a lot of other stylistic differences in taste as well that he would have preferred. Just because you find something appealing doesn't mean the composer who died 200+ years ago would have. In most cases it's probably quite the opposite.
