There are so many ways to cut a shag, but this is one of my favorite methods. I usually cut 90-100% of it dry. Why dry? So I can see how each strand falls as I cut it, and go back to adjust as I go if needed. Dry cutting while the hair is ironed straight also allows me to check the blend. The layers are short, but I still want them to be seamless, should my client ever want to wear their hair sleek & straight. For Lindsay’s hair in this video, we finished her haircut wet, with a razor to make her sides a bit more… “wolfy” 🐺.
