I listen to this song every day. It's magic.
You can really hear what it was that influenced the Appalachian 'mountain' music.
Especially at 2mins here, you can clearly hear it.
Beautiful. Brilliant. Lofys ye heart agus an anam.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir.
🙏🙏☘️🇮🇪🏴🏴🙏🙏
born in glasgow to highland parents listening to Gaelic my whole childhood. such a beautiful language I took for granted 😘
indeed
Our melodies are so hauntingly good!!
Gaeilge spoken in Scotland or Ireland is a language onto itself. It is older than the Saxon tongue!!
And far more beautiful.SAOR ALBA GU BRATH
You have a fine heritage
@keithlomas6107 Thank you.
What's yours friend?
you are a Scottish treasure, a rare humble and highly-talented singer !!! ... an inspiration to ALL of us with Celtic heritage !!! ... Thank you for bringing back Gaelic !!!
Very well-said 👏🏻👏🏻
As an Éireannach, the languages are so similar, that sometimes I think that "She's now singing this particular song in Irish"!! But she wouldn't necessarily have been. Just so many common words which our ancestors used. It's such a beautiful and wonderful thought.
🙏🙏🇮🇪🇮🇪🏴🏴
Thank you for the lovely music.
Beautiful. Julie Fowlis' music is a priceless source of joy and comfort. I love closing my eyes and experiencing the sounds of Julie's singing voice as well as the sounds of the artists which accompany her. 🌸🎶💛
Thanks thanks thanks ...❤️
I have to remind to myself how good is listening to your voice from time to time...
Lets say there is a valley, where every single element is doing fine:
the trees, flowers, river, a warm sun.... suddenly it comes a gentle and lovely breeze...your voice...🎶❤️🌬️✨🍀
Sempre molto brava. Grazie. Un ottimo ensemble!
Lullaby, quality voice that caresses the afternoon, while walking towards the night. Wonderful voice, inspiring music.
Thank you!!!!
What a wonderful phrase: *caresses the afternoon, while walking towards the night.*
Greetings from Montana! Nothing better than a new Julie video. A World Heritage voice...
Рlease translate what I wrote above. it is very important to me !
Привет, милый меломан! Так приятно видеть, что мы так близки в своих чувствах, несмотря на расстояние. Пусть ты будешь благословлен своей сладостью, в этом темном мире очень нужны такие люди, как ты.
...and your translation into English: "Your voice is very beautiful. It penetrates into the very heart ♥ I get the impression that my mother sings me a lullaby before bed, although I am no longer a child, I am already an adult girl. Thank you that such talented people exist on planet Earth. And thank you for being able to soothe with your voice. I am from Siberia, where no one knows about Scottish and Gaelic songs. But I have known your songs for a very long time and as a Russian it is difficult for me to learn this language, but I always sing along with you.
Thank you very much for your beautiful contribution to our discussion.
Who knows: you may have had a previous life as a Celt?
God bless from Ireland. 👏🏻👍🏻

Hi Julia, have the sgoil Ghàidhlig given satisfactory results, enough to consider teaching Gaelic to foreign students so that they become teachers of this language in their countries? This language must be perpetuated inside and outside your borders, because it is so beautiful.
