Iron rings on the wrist is actually in many styles of Chinese Kungfu styles but one that actually uses that alot is just Hongquan. What the ring does is that it doesn't just condition your fist strength as the rings adds weight to condition it but it's also both a defensive and offensive weapon to boot. Again, with it being metal, it can deflect sword and saber strikes if the user deflects it properly and it can also be used as a pseudo-hammer and smash someone's skull in or simply break bones in a sweeping motion due to the rings being made in metal. Thus that's why when you see Hongquan practitioners, their stances are often more wide when it comes to hand stances as they have a mix of traditional boxing and sweeping attacks combined into one massive doctrine.
Thankfully they react and rank the Tekken fighters based on their respective martial arts and uniqueness. That's what I'm waiting for a long time hehehe
as an Eddy main who also practices Capoeira IRL I have to say that Tekken did an AMAZING job in showcasing the beauty and fluidity of the kicks and the acrobatics in this game. Truly the best representation of Capoeira in a video game so far!

yeah tbh it's pretty dissapointing how little they were able to contribute to this besides "ohh he looks so cool!" you're professionals, not random people reacting, man...
Should try ranking more Tekken characters in the future. Other characters with seemingly interesting movesets can be: Dragunov,Lili, the Ravens,Zafina, Julia,Lydia,Lars,Bob,Josie and Fahkumram
For anyone wondering why they had such a vocal reaction to the axe kick, it's not just cause it's flashy and looks cool in game. Take it from someone who got complacent in kumite and got cracked by one. A solid hit from one of those is a "Time out, grab the medics" moment. That's a full blown potential concussion right there

Lei is a cop who can go into 5 different styles and you can incorporate them into combos moving from like crane to tiger and then snake etc. Eddy is a fire character but my favorite is Paul dude is nice.
A fact about capoeira: what you see in the streets is is usually a show, a game. What we do in the gym is a little different. In capoeira we use elbows, knees, hands, kicks, headbutts... capoeira also has many kinds of sweeps and takedown. You're right about the history.
I'm still waiting for the day we finally get one of these videos with Devil Jin, Geese or Akuma, I just wanna see if they're gonna say "that's cool" or something like "if you had wings it would not be a good idea to do that, you should focus on another style"
For context the whole mishima family (Jin included) is an exception when it comes to actually executing moves. Some of them don't look possible in real life, and some look extremely weak if they were executed in a real fight. But that's because most of the mishima fighters are 50% human 50% demon.(Heihachi is 100% human but is proved to have inhuman strenght throught out the plot of the series)

1:25
🤦🏿♂Yeah!... when the other guy is a taekwondo black belt, he's probably going to do more kicks than anyone! Let anyone do more punches than steve fox!
I’m so happy that Ling got too spot!
As a Ling main I’m bias, but she literally dancing the screen with King fu.
I wish they had Lili, as her fight style is just gymnastics and slaps. But with weight!! 😂
To all those who are interested to know the Tekken Characters in this video about their fighting styles (MOST OF THEM ARE FROM REAL LIFE MARTIAL ARTS ):-
0:30 JIN - MISHIMA-RYU KARATE (a fictional martial art created but inspired from traditional classic Karate)
1:30 KAZUYA - MISHIMA-RYU KARATE
3:35 HEIHACHI - MISHIMA-RYU KARATE
4:03 PAUL - KUDO DAIDO JUKU
4:56 XIAOYU - BAQUAZHANG
8:00 LEROY - WING CHUN
9:37 FENG - HUNG GAR and CHINESE KENPO
10:33 LAW - JEET KUNE DO (INSPIRED BY THE LATE BRUCE LEE)
11:56 LEI - KUNG FU (ANIMAL STYLE KUNG-FU) (DRUNKEN BOXING/FIST KUNG-FU)
12:33 EDDY - CAPOEIRA
13:32 HWOARANG - TAE KWON DO
14:00 YOSHIMITSU - NINJUTSU
14:51 NINA - AIKIDO
quite surprised these Martial artists are not familiar with some of the notable fighting styles like HUNG GAR, TAE KWON DO , AIKIDO . All i hear is " that kick is cool " oh that punch is cool". At least educate them that Tekken is based on real life Martial Arts.
yeah tbh it's pretty dissapointing how little they were able to contribute to this besides "ohh he looks so cool!" you're professionals, not random people reacting, man...
Bruh, she is a Black Bellt in Tae Kwon Do - she is not "not familiar" with it. Also, there is zero Aikido in Nina's moveset they showed.
Noah you look like kenshi in Mk 1
Can't believe y'all didn't include Asuka. She's one of my favourites.
I love how they choose to show kazuya's hellsweep, rising sun and that jumping frontflip, probably his weirdest moves lol
I think the reason why some of the moves look off is because some of them are reusing animations from older games
THIS NEEDS A PART TWO WITH CHARACTERS THEY HAVE MISSED!
What i want these 2 to see the most is goku vs cell now that's a good one for them to react on the fighting combat.
You should show them all the character trailers for Tekken 8
Should try ranking more Tekken characters in the future. Other characters with seemingly interesting movesets can be: Dragunov,Lili, the Ravens,Zafina, Julia,Lydia,Lars,Bob,Josie and Fahkumram
For anyone wondering why they had such a vocal reaction to the axe kick, it's not just cause it's flashy and looks cool in game. Take it from someone who got complacent in kumite and got cracked by one. A solid hit from one of those is a "Time out, grab the medics" moment. That's a full blown potential concussion right there
Should've shown more of Lei Wulong's drunken fist.
can't wait to see non-legacy characters for once. so many characters are well done and mocapped. but they generally tend to only show tekken 3 characters as the most updated aside from Leroy this time.
Love the Xiaoyu love; she really is so iconic.
They should've included Lidia in this
THANK YOU! Lidia and Fahkumram have the most practical fighting styles in the game!
lidia, fahkumram, steve, marduk, josie, and dragunov
I knew this video was gonna be trash the second they showed Yoshimitsu.
My girl Xiaoyu still out here getting fed good and I love it…..best Tekken girl shes not going nowhere purriod 😌 and I also like Nina ♥️
Tekken is perfectly realistic game and a true representation of real life martial arts and combat sports physics.
Welcome back guys! Missed you
Yeeees Gemma & Noah together in another episode lets gooo
Xiaoyu's fighting style is really amazing, like her lines, shapes, her fluidit, HER STANCES, its like she's doing a classical dance as well. Im glad people with fighting knowledge acknowledges how beautifully she fights. The way she fights is the reason why i pickes her everytime i play tekken. Its just mesmerizing to look at her. ❤ she's indeed no.1
While I wouldn't call her Number 1 , her style which is (Her fighting style is officially listed as "various Chinese martial arts", in particular Baguazhang and Piguaquan.) is deffinetly interesting
@@MsKeylas its ok she's not your #1 afterall you're just a stranger in the comment section meanwhile certified martial artists rank her #1 and there opinion matters coz they know sht
@@queencard97 they ranked her number 1 because they liked her most out of just 7 characters which were shown,so there was no need to be rabid fanboy and be a dick about it. You are fan of her.I get it,but she isnt better or worse than any other characters (well except Fahk and Leroy who are trash). Xiaouyu is just very different , and That is Why they choose her as number 1
Congrats! On being the models for Mortal Kombat 1!
Always happy to see the Xiaoyu love! I wonder how they would react to the Tekken 8 trailers of their top 7 fighters...
I guess we still need Eddy's & Yoshi's T8 trailers first @_@
The first time I ever saw capoeira was in he movie Only the Strong with Mark Dacascos. Got me really interested.
Kazuya’s multiple spinning sweep into a standing kick always makes me laugh if you pause it because of how his waist and upper body looks like compared to his lower half
Paul Phoenix has been my go-to character since the 1st game. I don't play as often as I used to, but when I do, I get a kick out of it taking down players with over 10,000 wins. Nobody expects Paul Phoenix to be as badass as I make him.
They should've seen Jin's basic roundhouse head kick, I was so much waiting for it, the animation was so good and realistic.
It’s so crazy to think Noah is in the next mortal kombat!
Kenshiiiiiiiiiii ma man 💪🏽❤
love you Noah
Love this duo so much!
Love these two, glad to see them doing facial animation and mocap in the new mortal kombat game!
Okay no, somebody get this channel to have these two react to tekken 8 trailers, they NEED to see Tekken 8
Yesss, glad to see my girl Xiaoyu on the top 🧡🎉🎉
Lei is a cop who can go into 5 different styles and you can incorporate them into combos moving from like crane to tiger and then snake etc. Eddy is a fire character but my favorite is Paul dude is nice.
Would live to see these guys react to a choreographed tekken video, like videos from CheeseYoni for example
Wait they said they just did mocap for a game did they did mocab for the new mortal kombat game 0:18
Turning Eddie into a grappler sounds both amazing and horrifying
A fact about capoeira: what you see in the streets is is usually a show, a game. What we do in the gym is a little different. In capoeira we use elbows, knees, hands, kicks, headbutts... capoeira also has many kinds of sweeps and takedown. You're right about the history.
Xiaoyu style is not a style its seduction her fighting style is so beautiful
Yeah thats right! Universal praise for my guy Paul!! Payl main since Tekken 3 you heard!!
Omg i missed them so much
I'm really happy that you're impressed about Kazuya's moveset, because Kazuya is my favorite character in Tekken and he's OP.
@Gamology Actually, Lei's fighting style called Five Shape Style Art (include Dragon, Tiger, Panther , Crane and Snake)
I for one, love front leg jump side kick. Knee injury betrays my back leg kicks
I'm still waiting for the day we finally get one of these videos with Devil Jin, Geese or Akuma, I just wanna see if they're gonna say "that's cool" or something like "if you had wings it would not be a good idea to do that, you should focus on another style"
I'd like to see them react to the Tekken 8 trailers, mostly the Law one
Yoshi going party mode is always a fun time.
Anyone else want to see Noah and yoshi react together cuz they’ve both done videos with Gemma but never together
That Kazuya kick is called "Spinning Demon Kick", and has been fairly well replicated in real life by Eric Jacobus.
Would love to see more of this
Is that Kenshi?!
Yes. He is the face model and stuntman for Kenshi in MK1
No Leroy? I know his moves aren't flashy but they are great and Ip man was an inspiration to Bruce Lee who then inspired others
Knew Ling would be #1, her style of fighting is so beautiful
Noah is now a Kenshi?
Awesome. Would have been cooler if they included Steve, King, Dragunov, their fighting styles are very specific (along with Eddy, Hwoarang, Leroy). Also it would be fun to see their reaction to Alisa's bullshit moves. Lol
And Miguel's non move moves
I have loved Ling Xiaoyu since Tekken 3. She was always my main, however she is now tied for first place as my main alongside Asuka Kazama
I think the gameplay demo’s could’ve been better. If they had showcased a wider variety of moves it probably would’ve changed the rankings around a lot.
