UPDATED 2025 Model Y with ACTUAL Specs, pricing, looks, etc. I'm shocked it doesn't have faster charging and more cool features. ruclips.net/video/Wm58Fv8xg7w/видео.html
We just purchased a Model Y in July because they were running 0.99% APR and $0 down and instant $7500 tax credit. We've been saving and waiting to buy one, and that just seemed like the right time.
I bought a demo 2024 SR RWD MY stealth grey black interior with 600 miles during end of October. Price out the door after incentives, referral, and taxes was $41600. My wife and I love driving it.
I just got my 2025 model Y! I loved the incentives, didn’t really need the cooled seats or ambient lighting that may come to the refresh, and didn’t want the price hike or wait time when the refresh comes out. I love my car so much!
THANK YOU so much for cutting through the B.S. and giving us an honest look at what the current state of affairs is and speculating what the model Y refresh might be. No click-bait title to draw us in. I used to watch those other guys’ videos, but all of the click-baity titles turned me off to them, but I continue to love your channel. ❤
We just purchased Y AWD and wow - great car. Hard to believe next be that much better. If its truly hold out better and not just different & just as cheap… I be shocked but I don’t think we will be disappointed. It truly is already light years ahead of non-tesla options 🤷♂️.
Update: AP4 short computer replacement issue - awaiting service. 😢. 🤷♂️. I believe Tesla will take care of it. Was looking forward to trying out the new FSD v13 ! 😃… will have to wait! Doh!
The suspension is my biggest complaint in my 2021 Model Y. It’s very bouncy, noisy, and not comfortable on a rough surface. I took it into a Tesla Service Center thinking something was wrong in the back, but they told me everything was fine.
7 seat is sooo tiny, and middle row loses leg room if there's someone else back there. I considered 7 seat until I saw how hard it is to get back there and then no room.
Traded my 22 Model 3 RWD for a 21 Model Y AWD LR, 38k miles, Red exterior, white interior, 7 seats for $28k out the door. I was on the plus side on the trade in and I am happy with the Model Y especially my small kids.
I bought mine in October. I feel like the price was hard to beat, just hope the value does not tank. Cooled seats would be nice, and I do like that lighting.
I'm in this exact position and have decided to wait! But just like everything, I'm sure something totally different will be announced when I'm ready to buy and then I'll be faced with this same decision again!
I think this is the perfect time to buy old model Y. Especially ones that are already waiting as inventory at the dealerships. They want to get rid of those
If you buy now, it's going to be like buying an iPhone a few weeks before a new one comes out. I wouldn't, but as a TSLA shareholder - hope everyone else does.
juniper most likely wont have incentives also it prob wont have 0% apr. The price will prob be higher and trump is getting rid of tax rebate. So, cost wise most likely you won't beat current price.
@@biplav32 Why would the tax rebate be removed? I'd think that Elon would want it and thus Trump would want to keep it for him? I'd think the rebate would make it easier for people to get and doesn't Tesla get the full amount anyway?
I just took delivery of my Model Y, it is listed as a 2025 as I took delivery just 30 days ago, my lease was up on my previous car so I had to get something, I knew I wanted to buy and I wanted a EV.. My last 2 cars were BMW 330i leases.. I loved them, and I thought I was going to miss them but I have to say I love my 2025 Model Y. a lot of the older videos of sound issues and build quality, I just haven't seen yet and I have been looking... I am sure the updates will be great but I have no regrets. I even just had it full PPF Matte/Satin wrap done, its a White exterior and it looks so clean. Just got the Holiday Update, I love how all the Tesla's get the update and since I did end up paying in full, the tax credit was the biggest win for me. I am sure maybe in a few years I may consider upgrading, but I feel like I will be loyal to the model Y, there is so much space, I love the how far I sit from the ground verses a sedan, I could go on, but I am very happy with mine pre-refresh. just trying to not curb those rims ;-)
Do you have any tips or anything to look out for when buying a used Tesla? Looking to get into the EV world and these used model 3 prices are pretty cheap!
Depends, if the $7,500 tax credit is important for you (which isn’t negligible) then get the car before the end of the year. Otherwise, wait. The Fed funds rate is just going to go lower and lower and I guarantee that the 0% interest rate financing will still be available in 2025. Plus, we don’t know what the full depth and breadth of the new Juniper feature will be or the pricing for that matter and the old style Y resale will drop even further in value (just like the 3) as soon as Juniper is released.
We all know the $7,500 fed credit will be vanishing soon. What we really don't know if "before or after" the Juniper release. If we are lucky, we can get the Juniper and the fed credit as well in february or march. Tesla should release the Juniper in january or february, I guess.
I’ve waited so long for Tesla, I’m learning towards waiting even if it’s gonna be a bit more in price. I would plan to buy and keep for 10 years so rather have the best version
Does anybody know if the model three Highland came with a better insulating glass roof? If so, does that same outfit fit on older model three’s? I broke my glass roof on my model Y and I am wondering if I should wait until Juniper comes out to get my glass roof replaced with a better glass.
Don’t know if better insulated, but I have a 2023 and a 2024 and the highland roof tint is noticeably darker…. Only had a month so don’t know if it helps with heat reduction
Question: if the batteries are the same. Would it be cost effective for Tesla to pull in all the 2024 Model Y’s left over and retrofit them to be 2025 model? I can’t keep straight in my head how much of a different that will be? Windows, LED strip, some interior materials, rear light bar panel. Maybe be front lights? If you would have to reduce price to 25k to get rid of them then maybe spending 10k and reselling for 45-50 isn’t a bad idea? Or is there just not the facilities to do so?
I bought a Model Y earlier this year (2024), and I love it! However, I’m considering trading it in for the refresh- but only if they offer me a good trade-in value for mine.
probably not considering you won't be alone in wanting to pull this off. tesla will have all the leverage. that's why they're trying so hard to unload the Ys rights now at awesome incentives and 0%
Buy now. 0%APR is so advantageous. We purchased our MYP ‘21 at the peak of the Model Y surge when you couldn’t take delivery of a Long Range -the demand was so high. We just took order on a Quicksilver 2025 MYP (yes it’s a 2025) with our trade in and paying significantly less for a new Tesla and new warranty! It’s so hard not to pass it up. HW4 and switching from Intel to AMD is already an upgrade from our 2021. I have a hard time believing the “Juniper” will be out first quarter of 2025. And if it is, it’s not gonna have a significant hardware upgrade (HW5) outside of the similar cosmetic changes the M3P has. We know HW4 still has room for growth! In two/three years, we can trade in our 25 for a “Juniper” that has settled into its perfect build. If you can. Just buy now. Tesla will always improve. The 0% APR is just too good to pass up. As we know, Tesla’s deals always change. Order before the 15th!!
Don't just assume the reduction in range on the dash is actual battery degradation. Tesla's been slapped a few times for having unrealistic mileage estimates at high charge and they've tweaked the "Math" behind the scenes. So you could show less range without any damage to the battery.
I won’t trade unless I can get FSD transfer and it comes with AI5. Recently FSD transfer is only offered in the last quarter when sales are hurting and they need an incentive to meet their sales goals. No guarantee they continue doing that. Always don’t buy a new car the first year it comes out (advice my grandmother gave me when I was a kid). 😊
Great job, Chris! Just watched and you can disregard my comment today in the morning. This covers the topic well. Also, always nice to see Spicy Mami ❤
Half of those videos are made by one guy who rambles about nothing to do with juniper, but just click baits to sell something. I don’t mind people selling something but it just flooded the model y search and just made it impossible to find actual useful videos.

TMY has horrible suspension; truth be told, no one should ever buy this car. People are saying good things about it to get referrals, but independent reviewers who don’t own a Tesla speak the truth, frequently complaining about the suspension and ride quality and advising against buying it.
Old seats are more comfortable, even if refresh is softer suspension. Yes, try both Highland 3 and current Y. There were somewhat muffled complaints about Highland seats in the I-90 surge (out of spec). Maybe it's a wash between newer, harder, seats and better interior noise and softer ride? All said, $7500 is a lot to most people and may tilt the decision.
Or both… 🤔 I think in 10 years ICE will be just for fun/luxury and just be objectively for everyday life a bad decision over EV. Love my ICE but also love my EV for my commutes.
