I feel it's more about who he talks to. Honestly I'd be also annoyed to talk to reporters who don't have any idea about F1 and ask you same stupid questions all the time. But once Kimi is with someone who knows about the sport, he can really be talkative. Best examples being his interviews with Jean Alesi, I highly recommend searching them.
I had 0.1% of that experience when I was in formula sae. I lived in apartment next to the track where they tested our car and I got to hear it even when I couldnt go there in person.
Martin has always been a true racer. I really like this guy, he had potential to be a world champion. Remember, in british F3, he was the only one who was able to beat Ayrton Senna several times.
stefan bellof would have been a challenge to both martin and ayrton, had he survived his fatal crash in Spa '85. look him up, he had an impressive pace. fearless racing, unfortunately it was his demise
Nice to see how much Kimi likes Martin and the respect he has for him & the guys form his era... the 80s and early 90s was something else compared to today and Kimi seems to understand that well.
Because he is humble and also casual F1 fans might just think this is “old bloke from tv testing a factory Ferrari car”. Also just to show how professional and respectful the Ferrari team is
I don’t think he did, he’s not really pushing too hard. Looks at worst to be a little bit of rotation. Could be wrong though. Not like he didn’t put a force India in the wall at Silverstone
Would have nice to ride onboard for more than a clip here and there. Maybe I'm old but I just want to see him drive it.. minus the music and angled clips at the side of the track.
i guess it would probably be quite boring, and slower compared to Vettel and Kimi. As Brundle is not regularly driving any F1 cars, so he probably wont be pushing, and few laps would be just him getting used to the car. But i agree it would still be interesting to watch at least his full unedited fastest lap!
I hate when sky or F1M makes this sort of content for the lowest denominator. Like ffs, only us nerds watch this sort of thing, give us the sauce we truly crave.
what a pro, as a driver and a tv presenter, to be summing up his thoughts so succinctly while flying down a track he's never driven in an F1 car he's never driven. martin is a legend
Considering the reverence for Maranello, specifically for Ferrari, I was surprised to learn that the area surrounding the Ferrari factory is actually a rough area
I've been there recently and the roads are full of potholes. I mean, that's not surprising in Italy but I would have expected some better asphalt in the Motor Valley
The background of the feature is great and everything, but I'd also have liked to see the whole run or at least a whole lap uncut with Martin's commentary that way
I love how Martin named all the drivers that had been around that wonderful track, but he only used the word "Great" in front of one of them, Michael Schumacher.
I was mad at Martin years ago now when he left BBC to join SKY F1, but I understand nowadays as look at the stuff they get him to do, i would have been sold if they said you will be going off driving Ferrari's etc for filming days as well as a great salary.
Raditya Indera the thing with Nando is he wasn’t the most patient of the guys... You gotta have every department to function which he had it functional at Renault and mclaren in his first stint.. The Ferrari he joined wasn’t the same team that Michael build
The wording "there's an opportunity for the F14t to be loved once again" seems a bit patronising. I know that in Enzo Ferrari's day people were expected to praise the cars, but I'm sure the engineers knew in their hearts when they've built a dog of a car. The stopwatches never lie when pitted against the competition
If Enzo was still around it would be because of Fernando and Kimi that the car did so badly. The cars were awesome and you didn't say otherwise. If it blew up, it was because of the driver and not the car.
I love how Kimi is suddenly quite talkative when he is able to talk about something he actually enjoys.
I feel it's more about who he talks to. Honestly I'd be also annoyed to talk to reporters who don't have any idea about F1 and ask you same stupid questions all the time. Relatively speaking. For someone who has never seen an interview with Kimi it still looks like he doesn't give a shit.
It's more like a hobby for him so obiously he doesn't need to do it if he doesn't want to
What did Lauda say “all these facilities and you build a piece of sh**.”
Very true in this car
*Facilities
MrStefano218 thank you kindly for correcting me. I wasn’t using my full “faculties” in my brain for that sentence.
And very true for the current season as well 😑
He will pretty much say the same for the 2019 car
@@chanchaniceman Given said 2019 car has challenged for wins and podiums I doubt that.
Had to be amazing for Enzo sitting in his office hearing his engines roaring out on track throughout the year.

Depends if you believe the narrative that sennas shit didn’t stink
O
Ppl love to use that 1 time in F3. Oh plz... that's just 1 time. He isn't near Senna in talent in raw talent
2:13 "bwoah nah there's nothing we need to.. just leave it then shift gear thats it" hahaha classic
i hope that's the exact attitude he has himself towards using all the buttons
He didn't say bwoah

I just love love love Martin Brundle and all his driving videos. The man is vastly knowledgeable and entertaining
Colin Dowd A former F1 driver will always bring another view on racing, that view from the seat.
F14T looks like an urban spelling of FIAT. :P
Ferrari=fiat

Brundle is top quality. Great driver, great commentator. Be a sad day, when he distances himself away from F1, similar to the legendary Murray Walker.
Martin? Is that you? 🙄
My grandpa went to school with him. Apparently he’s always been a class act.
2:56 Kimi at his best
NanoLP MWOAH
The Second Nemesis no/noh* which means "well," in Finnish
Love to see the respect between Kimi and Brundle :-)
Kimi best instructor ever ; just shift the gears and that’s it 😂
5:32 Martin Brundle is a former f1 racing driver idk why he’s bringing himself down saying he’s just an old guy from tv
Deepthoughts cos he’s humble
Because he is humble and also casual F1 fans might just think this is “old bloke from tv testing a factory Ferrari car”. Also just to show how professional and respectful the Ferrari team is
Brundle is also a Le Mans winner with Jaguar in the 1980’s.
True that. And to be fair, these cars are like driving a limousine in comparison to the cars from the 80-90s.
English sense of humour don't you think?
He's selling himself short. Martin is a bit more than "An old duffer from the TV!"
Indeed, he's a humble legend
I really like Brundle... He's such a down-to-earth guy
Good bit of editing..4:52 he looses it.
Dodger whats your problem?
I thought that's what happened first time I watched
I don’t think he did, he’s not really pushing too hard. Looks at worst to be a little bit of rotation. Could be wrong though. Not like he didn’t put a force India in the wall at Silverstone
This is rare ultra nice kimi😂
Kimi has always been nice to Brundle.
As long as he does not get a mic shoved in his face he's a pretty different guy
As long as you've let Kimi take a shit!
It’s nice to see Kimi smile!
Ppl are so weird. Kimi is like this a lot .... Tbh i usually see this kimi. Or even MORE talkative, laughing, joking around etc ...
I think the F14t looks quite nice in the 2016 livery.
Craig Bickerstaff but the nose is so damn ugly
Craig Bickerstaff Yes it looked not bad at all
Craig Bickerstaff I feel like Ferrari cars with the Santander sponsorship liveries weren’t that too different...
@Bilal Khalid Seeing as how Mercedes have 1-2'd every race so far, I wouldn't call the SF90 competetive.
Bilal Khalid the sf90 is basically an upgraded version of the F14T 😂
2:37 Robo-Kimi 😂🤣😂
I know I'm waay too late to this, but what if that was a really good robo Kimi while the real Kimi was already home with his family?😬
This track is the best backyard in the world. Imagine hanging out your laundry and seeing and hearing F1 cars and other Ferrari's going by. Heaven.
By the idiotic FIA limit on pre-season testing we won't see more of F1 cars around this track.
Thanks for that insight Damon...
I know right. "It's... it's...."
Would have nice to ride onboard for more than a clip here and there. Maybe I'm old but I just want to see him drive it.. minus the music and angled clips at the side of the track.
Duncan Cunningham Fair enough Duncan 😎👍
Really makes one long for an "raw" clip to be released with this kind of stuff beside the fully edited clip.
i guess it would probably be quite boring, and slower compared to Vettel and Kimi. All the modern day great drivers have been round there, Brundle, Kimi, Mansell, Alonso…. Amazing.
what a pro, as a driver and a tv presenter, to be summing up his thoughts so succinctly while flying down a track he's never driven in an F1 car he's never driven. martin is a legend
You got to love kimi. He is such a lovely person. Would really like to have a drink with him once in my lifetime.
Wish you all you need and a speedy recovery
4:48 definitely spun it
Brundle can still drive.
F14T
FIAT
That’s why it was so slow?
This is the most I think Kimi has ever spoken
When Kimi said more than 3 words. Man I miss him already.
Imagine being invited to Fiorano to drive a Ferrari F1 car. The heritage & history of all of that is remarkable. Certainly an honour to do.
Martin's joy of driving this car is so wholesome
You can do whatever you want, you’ll never convince me that F14T is not a clear reference to FIAT, the owner of Ferrari
Damon, explain to us and the viewers at home the lure of the red car.
Well, it's-
SHUT UP!
Considering the reverence for Maranello, specifically for Ferrari, I was surprised to learn that the area surrounding the Ferrari factory is actually a rough area

aaron names working class?
I've been there recently and the roads are full of potholes. I mean, that's not surprising in Italy but I would have expected some better asphalt in the Motor Valley
Ferrari lets Brundle drive their car, and he opens the segment by roasting the shit out of them. Classic Brundle.
love kimi - legend !
Knowing Kimi he probably said to Brundle hurry up and do your laps then we’ll go to the pub.
I get the feelings that Brundle could have been competitive in F1 well beyond the age he retired.
2:35 😂😂😂😂
YungHiadla Has the same brain as me! Lol must mean that I'm an F1 driver!
The background of the feature is great and everything, but I'd also have liked to see the whole run or at least a whole lap uncut with Martin's commentary that way

I swear, Martin Brundle could host TopGear.
What an awesome video goose bumps all the way
0:37 Are they fighting or celebrating?
I'm a simple man, I see Kimi, I click the video.
Prob the greatest commentator ever
Just noticed the Willy Wonka music. Well played, BBC, well played.
This is in 2016, therefore it would have been Sky.
so how did it compare to the mercedes? I think he's the only person that's driven both ...
I was mad at Martin years ago now when he left BBC to join SKY F1, but I understand nowadays as look at the stuff they get him to do, i would have been sold if they said you will be going off driving Ferrari's etc for filming days as well as a great salary.
why stop the video after they asked hill such a great question?
2:55 legendary bwoah made them both laugh
Kimmi is always a man of many words
“ Its something so special, something so privileged to drive the worst Ferrrari ever” Brundle, Martin
1:35 Wtf is that livery ????
Notice how F14T looks a bit like FIAT?
I just noticed That the F14T can also be read FIAT

Is that the most Kimi has ever talked
00:54 now Mercedes guy
you are lucky man brundle
'lucky' as a driver that already drove nearly 160 races in F1 before
Am i the only one that thought at 0:54 ‘hey, that’s that Mercedes guy!’
He's with ferrari until 2016
was the car over and under steering at the same time
"I'm gonna put my hand up, and they will do the magic behind"

Anyone know what their laptimes were?

who does the captions??? is it computer generated???
yes, there are no captions apart from the automatic ones

You mention great Ferrari drivers and didn't mention Gilles. I mean really.
De ja vu?
Next time... Damon Hill in a Ferrari F1 car !
Martin is still pretty good for an old guy...
And it’s name just spookily looks like FIAT

Fiat has owned Ferrari for many many years
this is the most i've seen raikkonen talk

F14T ??I think they mean FIAT !!! That's why it sucks...
Lol good one XD
yeah the car suck, it's slide like crazy...
it is one of ferrari worst f1 car
+Ruma wrong
schumacher said when he tested that car "how can you not be champion with this car" it was really good driven by poor drivers
Jean-Jacques de Balzac I just noticed that
denny peters WHAT? Fernando and Kimi are some of the best f1 drivers on the current grid.
Vettel said it the best "Everybody is a ferrari fan"
I can see Fernando will still be in Ferrari had he didnt make idiot move to Mclaren. Hindsight is always 20/20 isnt it.

I’ve never heard kimi talk so much 😂
Brundle
Well I mean its, its
AND CUUUUUT
2:56 'Bwoah'
F14T. I read that as FIAT. Oops 😅
most watched part of the video is when Kimi said bwoah
2:55 "bwoah"
