Fun, love it. Reminds me of the plastic Lenovo IdeaCentre Mini 5i, though that was a step backwards :) Just noticed your normal exterior labels on the inside..nice. They didn't feel like advertising the one year warranty.
@@handmedowntech I was able to pick up a HP EliteDesk G1 Mini i5-4590T without RAM/SSD/or AC for $20.50 shipped. I'm going to source a cheap 8GB stick, and may use an old Intel 480GB SSD I have laying around. Not sure how much your 260 was, but it has me intrigued from a collector point of view.
Yea, you never know until you buy it 😮 it's ok, SSD is fast enough too. Maybe good idea to make video to range all ho mini from g1 to g4 at most, ranging 260 400 600 800 retail, etc, thank you !
When I saw your question I realized you grabbed it from the part of the video where I show the underside of the top cover. I decided to test the system by installing Windows 11 - the system grabbed the internal license key and I now have Windows 11 Pro running on the 260 G1
I just fired up my G2 and it has TPM 2.0 - you may need to use the HP TPM Configuration Utility to upgrade from 1.2 to 2.0. I tried looking for a link but I think HP must be doing maintenance today because I keep getting the "We're Sorry" page with a gal looking at mockups of a magazines or something. Hopefully they'll fix that.
The 260 G3 does have some good going for it - the front looks different than the other HP G3 minis and it comes with a M.2 slot on all the units - plus the innards look much like an EliteDesk. I'll keep my eyes open for a deal.
@@handmedowntech I got an additional offers, so, now, I need to choose among elitedesk 800 g3 mini 4gb ram 320gb hdd vs prodesk 600 g3 8gb ram 500gb hdd vs hp 260 g3 4gb ram with no ssd/hdd, all with same price 🤦♂️😂 Which one is the best in your personal opinion?

I did forget to mention the stickers on the inside vs the missing outside ones. I was so caught up in the oddness 😉

I paid around $35 shipped. It came with a single 4gb stick and HDD. The EliteDesk G1 has more expansion options.
@@handmedowntech Probably more powerful than some of those new $99 mini pcs out there. I can see the missing M.2 Slot being a bummer though.
Still better made too
I have a couple of these little computers. I use one as a back-up media server. 720p movies only. Works well for my needs.
Do any of yours have the M.2 slot?
@@handmedowntechno unfortunately. I also have the i3 4040u version as well.
The heat sink reminds me of a ZimaBoard :)
Hadn't thought of that 😉
@@handmedowntech I get tempted to buy one of those boards, and then look at the minis...you get so much more with the latter.
So true. Even the PI is expensive now.
Got couple 260 G2's, surprise, no M2 there, which makes it worth a penny, despite it using DDR4. EliteDesk or ProDesk is way to go !
I figured it is always good to see what is out there so you appreciate what you've got 😉

Meant to ask you if the unit says "Win10Pro downgraded to Win7Pro" will it still have the Win10Pro key?

@@handmedowntechThanks! I noticed this on yours, and one of my G2 systems says it as well.
yo tengo 2 mini una elitedesk y otra prodesk en panama
¿Que modelos?
Do you also have a HP 260 G2?
Unfortunately not but if I see a steal on one I might pounce.
@@handmedowntech Does the 800 G2 have TPM 2.0 or only 800 G3 and newer?

Assuming they all have their SATA caddies I'd go with the EliteDesk.
