I love Mac ❤ I wish more RUclipsrs would give Mac the love it deserves
I bought it this week as got it for a fraction of the price. I didn't expect much from it but ooooh my god, best foundation ever. Yes it's sheer but it just works. Blends really well with concealer as well which not many skin tints do ( IMO) but bloody hell they knocked it out the park with this one.
As I get older, I want a more natural base and I love this foundation! It’s just my skin, but better.
Wow… Blended like a dream. Looks really really beautiful. Your skin looks amazing. Applying the deeper Shade as a bronzer was effortless and it looks so so good.
It’s a great foundation for someone who already has great skin and just needs a tiny bit of correction. It truly hardly gives any coverage. But it’s beautiful for someone that doesn’t need coverage.
Does it have skin nourishing ingredients ?
I have textured skin and I still LOVE it.

I did love the original Face and Body before the reformulation but still a phenomenal product.
Even with uneven or textured skin, you're better off using some light to medium coverage foundation and layering/ using blurring primers, spot concealing or even doing some color correcting, it will be more natural looking, skin will look healthier and it will last longer. I had a model once who was recovering from a staph infection and she required lots of concealing, I did that with her and the pictures looked great.
Unless your look is heavier foundation, then ignore what I said and go for it

Retired MUA….all time favorite foundation……many magazine covers have this as the foundation because it looks like skin…you can build it up if you let it dry for a minute between applications. It’s great for every skin type …stays put and does not settle into lines. They got it right and the new formula is basically the same …it’s a winner!
Does the new formula have the same film forming ingredient as the original?

You always make it look so easy. It is lovely and at 74, the light coverage would work well for me. I've never used Mac, yes I'm one of those sheltered souls :-)
I have this in my kit, I absolutely love it, it definitely buildable, and no, you don’t need perfect skin to wear this
I’m black med skin tone and finding a foundation is a nightmare. Originally Flori Robert’s made a perfect match but that was years ago. When I can afford it I’d like to try Chanel. Thanks Wayne have the most beautiful day.💚✌🏽

Dior has a realy nice shade range. They even have in between shades. Like 1, 1.5, 2... If you ever try them I would suggest going to store for help with a match. The colors do not look the same online. I fall in between shades so I know how difficult it can be. Good lucky.

I absolutely love this foundation. At 62 I’m looking for lighter coverage and my skin tone is pretty even. It works a treat on me! My go to for every day.
I'm on my very last bottle of the original and was holding on to it for dear life. So excited to hear this version also delivers. Hands down the best foundation on the market
I have used this since it came out decades ago. Great on my oily combo skin and in hot humid weather. Like the new formula just as much. USE MY FINGERS FOR BEST APPLICATION STILL. I like the simple lightweight packaging.
I have light cool pink tones skin and MAC has always been my best colour match too.
What shade do you use?

Ooh that Pat McGrath looks like the balmy blush stick from Urban Decay that was discontinued. I literally just threw it out after getting every last bit left. And this looks so lovely and natural!

I've been following you from the very beginning, when you used to record in a room with a bedside table behind. I miss the old RUclips, where you could send private DM(we had a few) . You helped me with makeup during my tumour procedure, you even invited me to Cardiff to do my makeup, but i was so shy... And you've always been true to our beloved Kevin Aucoin:"no amount of makeup can mask an ugly heart".

Of all the many foundations I’ve tried, Face and Body is still my favourite. Dior Backstage is also quite similar, but with slightly more coverage. Anyway, I hate full coverage foundation and only wear it when I’m having my passport photos done 😂 so this is perfect ❤xx
I love this foundation!! So nice for my aging skin!! I lucked out and bought a couple extra of the large size before they moved to the smaller bottle, so I have enough for awhile yet!! lol

A make up Artist gave me a tip about this foundation once: you are supposed to apply it with your hands actually and warm it a Little in you Hand than you should apply it like a moisturizer- this Technique Doubles the coverage ❤

Really nice & natural I need more coverage because of Lupus & other problem skin conditions but I really like mac I use the powder foundation as a finishing powder

I love sheer coverage. Sometimes I just use a tinted moisturizer by Platinum skincare ( your recommendation I think) because it is just not detectable and the color for my ultra pale skin just works. Gives me just a little color. I’m going to try this.

Your skin looked very nice before you even put on any of this MAC product. It really is very sheer. I'm not sure if it is even needed on skin as good as yours.

I keep hearing people say that mature skin should use creams instead of liquids. Concealer and foundation. I don’t understand the logic in this. Do liquids gather more in creases? Would love your opinion.

Love mac for all make up..they are the best❤
I still have a large bottle in the original formula. Applies best with fingers & I use concealer where needed. Works best on my dry skin in warmer weather.

Hello Wayne, hope you're doing well. Thanks for reviewing, your reviews are wonderful, short and relevant each time. I was wondering if you have recently done a video on setting powders? I'd like to know your take on the best setting powders in your opinion, and the best way to apply them, and/or which skin type and foundation can be paired with which powders, if such a thing exists. I've been personally struggling with powder application in the sense that I am getting older, and less powder is better but then I live in a hot climate so setting down everything is a must, but then I tend to look powdery/textured/cakey if I use too much. I have found that certain foundations do better with setting powders, so I would love to know if there is a science behind this, and what you would recommend. Thanks!
Wayne have you tried the new formula "Mac Studio Fix fluid"? Have been using the old formula for years. My holy grail foundation. The new one doesn't seem to go on the same, and they went and added a strong fragrance ... no idea why they changed it. It was perfection. sigh!! Hopefully you'll do a test / application of it.
I have been using Mac for years and years. I recently purchased the foundation you’re applying and I did not like it. It was way too watery for me. I felt like I was applying tinted water to my skin. It provided zero coverage. But I do have their Studio Sculpt spf15 foundation in the tube which I do like much better. It provides more coverage. I also like the L’Oréal Infallible Pro glow. I enjoy your tutorials!

I came here to see if the foundation Wayne was touting was better than my MAC Radiance😂. Nothing! Better!! I still have two of the larger bottles. I did end up buying a few new ones in order to match my old version, which I can’t see the code on. Why did I never write it down?? Basically I have about six different shades now but they’re all fantastic 🎉

As you were putting it on, you couldn't see any difference between skin and foundation perfect foundation

I love this foundation but I do find it a little sticky and also I can't get it to stay on my face longer than 3/4 hours but it's gorgeous when on and does wear off nicely. Also you can get the 120ml original face and body online still for £38
What do you think of Tom Ford foundation?
Wayne, could you do a vid on some daily facial spfs? I seem to be allergic to practically all of them that I try! Even my favorites from over the years I cannot use anymore. Ex of ones I cannot use: Josie maran, supergoop, beauty of josen, paulas choice.. the list is pretty long. I would love some recommendations from you! And I would love to see a tutorial of putting Wayne's makeup put over a sunscreen base!! I just bought the makeup but worried about applying over sunscreen- what sunscreen works well (as having no sunscreen as a base is not an option for this pale skinned auburn hair girl)!!!

What's the diffrence between sheer and matt if you put setting powder over sheer dosnt it turn matt?
Mr Goss: I want to keep this as short as possible, though I will likely fail. First, I love your videos, your content has been incredibly helpful, even though my makeup styles tend towards the alternative and gothic. My only criticism would be that I or you or someone needs to buy you a better microphone, or microphone isolation box. :) I've been particularly interested in your hooded lids tutorials, as I am approaching 50, and have the added benefit of genetically gifted heavily hooded eye lids [thank you, to my late grandfather for them]. When I say heavily hooded, I mean my eyelids are and have always been folded down, and resting at the edge of my eyes. I have to hold my eyelids out of the way while mascara dries, or they get an imprint of my eyelashes. Eventually I wil probably do like several of my relatives, and have surgery on my eyelids to maintain my ability to see properly. As of right now, when i do eyeliner, i look straight into my mirror, and draw dots across my 'eyelid crease?' to know where i want to draw my eyeliner. Then I just fill in a little below that. Unless Im expecting to be terribly startled, I dont need to fill down any further, because no one will ever see the part of my eyelids directly above my eyes. The one thing I never see in a tutorial about heavily lidded eyes, is how to deal with COMPLETELY hooded eyes. I know I'm not alone, whether by genetics or age. Do you have suggestions, or is this something common enough for it's own video? Thanks again for the wonderful content, your beautiful personality, and your dedication to your followers. My only regret is that you aren't one of our spooky elders here to show us proper white foundation, and heavy black eyeshadow. Cheers!
The only light foundation which makes my skin look good is the Chanel no. 1. My complexion is really bad, discolouration and age/sun spots, but the first time I wore this Chanel no. 1, my colleague told me that whatever my new skincare was, it seemed to work.
Can you recommend a concealer for men that is in stick form, is matte and undetectable to use on sun spots/freckles?
That reminds me of a sheer foundation Prescriptives used to make back in the 90's. I used it all the time because it was like a second skin; you couldn't tell I was wearing anything. Yet it evened out my skin tone perfectly. Wish I could remember what it was called, but Prescriptives is no longer made so I guess it doesn't matter. :(
Prescriptives' entire line was my best friend back in the day.

I loved Prescriptives. The foundation was called Virtual Skin. It was fabulous. I wish Estee Lauder would bring it back under their brand (Prescriptives was owned by EL). But the MAC F&B is nothing like it. It gives a veil of colour, but does not even cover redness.
@@ChrissieSM Virtual Skin! That's it! God I loved that. It was perfect. Doubt it'll do good but I'll write asking if they'd consider brining it back I wish to god they'd bring back their Line Preventor. That stuff was golden!
@@WayneGoss It really was. I worked for Clinique for a time in my late teens and ended up getting fired because I got caught telling customers (especially men) to go to Prescriptives skin care. It was THE BEST.🤣
