For me, Draconian is the best Doom Metal band, followed by Myriads (another amazing female vocalist there). I want to suggest again THERION, the inventors of symphonic metal: JustJen already reacted to them and she loved them. Really want to know your opinion. "Blood of Kingu" (Live in Miscolk) would be a good one to start. It's a performance in a "real" opera festival (where only Therion and Epica have been invited to play), with full orchestra and choir (the same choir from the Retrospect show by Epica). I really think they will surprise you for the magnificence of their music, and you will finally hear Lori Lewis, the best metal soprano in this planet... Greetings from Spain
I am Draconian fan. No one day can pass without Dranconian song... Their best album to me is "Sovran". ST came from it. If you want to see that type of "dancing" on stage, you should check out Vibeke Stene of Tristania, she was doing this back in 1999 :) (finding good live footage is almost impossible, but their "Tristania - Evenfall live in Austria" has a good picture (its overdubbed with the studio audio though) :)
Unfortunately, Heike Langhans decided to leave Draconian, I liked her voice, even if she was very similar to Sharon den Adel from within Tempation, fortunately the second singer Lisa Johansson, who was with the band the longest, came as a replacement even more so because she has a unique voice
I just wanted to let you know that Home Free is releasing a new song tomorrow called 'Driver', and as usual it has outstanding vocals and harmonies. Plus the video that goes with it is very good. Personally I think it is fabulous. Hope to see you react to it next Monday (or before).
One of my favorite bands growing up, most of the song in their latest two albums are good. To me, their earlier work is more Gothic, dark, yet brutal. I suggest listening to Seasons Apart or the cry of silence (longer song but all feels). Cheers

Draconian are Draconian, they are unique, "death come near me", "she dies", "the gothic embrace", are milestones in melodic doom metal

I can recommend my absolute favorite Draconian song "Draconian - Death, Come Near Me" as a comparison of the voices.
Heike was the longest with 10 years. Lisa was with the band for 9 years, which will of course go up now that they switch again.
