You have to look at the Milwaukee highlights and how he had a what we call the Dirk Nowitzki signature Shot lifting the knee fade away. There was no 3 point line for him to develop until 1980 at 32 years old. He did not grow up with the 3 point line being a factor in his game. LeBron: 6 All-Defensive teams, 3rd in voting behind KG and Dwight Howard in the 2011-12 season, 2nd in voting behind Marc Gasol in the 2012-13 season

LeBron James is the most overrated athlete in sports history

      Hasn't made an All-Defensive team in 10+yrs
Led the league in pts let up on defensive 1on1 situations (2012-13 - interestingly one of the same seasons he almost won a DPOY proving how overrated the man is)
      = Can't play defense
On shots with 1min. or less to tie or to win the game LeBron James in the regular season is 19/94 (19%), in the playoffs is 9/25 (36%), and in the finals is 0/7 (0%) ... and to add insult to injury the majority of those shots didn't even win the game. They either tied, went into OT and they won or lost. Now he has the most buzzer beaters in the playoffs, but they aren't game winners so is it really clutch?
      = Isn't clutch
      = No handles/finesse
When properly evaluating LeBrons career the man realistically isn't even a Top 5 player All-Time
And if playing for 20 years accumulating stats makes you the GOAT then thered be no reason to win nor perfect your craft. Seeing how it is LeBron is below mediocre in the categories that matter, it makes his fans had to add longevity to the criteria in order to propel their man in a debate he doesn't belong in

LeBron: 6 All-Defensive teams, 3rd in voting behind KG and Dwight Howard in the 2011-12 season, 2nd in voting behind Marc Gasol in the 2012-13 season
      Advanced Stats: MJ✅🥱

VORP: MJ (highest in NBA History on a per game basis)
WS/48: MJ (contributed more to winning)
TS%: LeBron (60-65% of career pts within 0-3ft from the basket - BasketballReference.com)
LeBron James is the most overrated athlete in sports history

I’m a huge Lebron fan as well as Mj. But all the scoring champs had 20 yrs and counting to do it. Doing what if’s only creates another argument but we know what’s up with that.
Lebron is definitely Top3 and arguably the best overall player in the history but MJ still to this day has more individual accolades (not including chips) than Lebron. So most of lebrons wins are attributed to longevity. MJ’s wins are attributed to his dominance. And this can be expounded upon but it’s unnecessary. If you know you know. The debate was who’s #2 til Bron took the title.

I respectfully disagree. Lebron's biggest achievement is longevity in a league with inflated points per game and NBA rules that help players play longer due to lack of physicality like in the 80's and 90's. Lebron is GREAT but there are things out of his control as the NBA rules. But he does have to be held accountable for his NBA performances and record. He has 4 championship but lost way more than he won. The point of playing is to win championships and then individual accolades and individual accolades is subjective to ERA'S. The point is taken about the glorification of the violent fouls. The point is that those rules or plays prevented lots of players from being better in their individual achievements. And STILL JORDAN stood on top. If Jordan was playing Lebron's era he would have destroyed the league.

Lebron is the greatest player of all time. The first thing people go to is the 6 chips Jordan got. What they don't address is chips are team accomplishments, not individual accomplishments. As far as career degree of difficulty. Winning a championship for three different franchises is way harder than winning with a team you are very familiarwith. To beat a team with a better record than the 72-10 bulls and win a title. To make 10 finals appearances and holds the all-time scoring record. Yes, Lebron is the G.O.A.T.

LeBron being the GOAT is laughable. Does he deserve his flowers for breaking the scoring record? Absolutely. Incredible accomplishment. But Kareem held the record for 40 years. Has more MVPs than LeBron, has more defensive team selections than LeBron, and more championships. And only a small percentage of hardcore NBA fans had Kareem as the GOAT. So how does LeBron who hasn’t accomplished as much as even Kareem, let alone Jordan, and obviously Jordan accomplished more in less time than Bron. How does LeBron having the scoring record make him the GOAT? Doesn’t make sense.
