Out of all the current superbikes, the ZX10 has the most exciting exhaust note bar none.

Bought zx10r 2012 with abs couple of months ago and on the road is just insane. Had an 08 r1 prior and that thing was so scary because the lack of electronics. But my ninja has saved me so many times and feels so damn safe its crazy.
I have a 2017 Kawasaki ZX10R ABS in white and I think it's the best value for money for what you get and the bike is gives you tremendous performance and confidence !

I'm confused. You said the ABS has been ripped out? Are you referring to the factory zx-10rr? I saw the following in the Kawasaki website:
Kawasaki’s supersport-grade high-precision brake management system, uses high-precision control to regulate brake pressure during sport riding. KIBS is a multi-sensing system, using the input from numerous sources. In addition to front and rear wheel speed sensors (standard for any ABS system), KIBS also monitors front caliper hydraulic pressure and various information from the engine ECU (throttle position, engine speed, clutch actuation and gear position).

The performance wow 197bhp, what more do you need? I couldn't utilise that power in the dry on the roads. The Akra makes it sound fantastic. If your a sportsbike man or woman, we'd all have one right?

Problem with a track bike like this, in Australia anyway, is insurance does not cover you on the track. This is one expensive bike to be riding on a track without insurance. Looks very nice though and I'm sure is great to ride.

zxcurve that's just not true. there's a ton a people getting around 185 stock. And with a power commander and full exhaust around 199. again those numbers don't matter unless you have a baseline done on that dyno the same day. stock numbers alone from a dyno vary so much from day to day, bike to bike, and dyno to dyno. making them meaningless
It is said to make 212 hp at high speeds due to the ram air intakes
Guys states it comes with no ABS I just purchased one in EU and it comes with ABS. Needs the race kit to disable ABS.

Interesting saying crank hp 197 and wheel hp 192. Is it because its an RR model and you don't get the 10% pumping losses between crank and wheel that was the old formula ?

How does thing manage to dominate wsbk ? It doesn't have the trick ohlins suspension seen across the board. It has mediocre rear brakes and it doesn't make a lot of power and it isn't particularly light either. How is Kawasaki doing it ?

What wheels are standard on these superbikes?
Unless your on a track in a real race about 135 HP is all a good rider needs. After that you may be moving faster but basically doing the same thing or holding the bike back. My point is save money and buy used bikes of the past 20 years. Pay it off and buy another bike in another category like adventure. Take vacations on them, meet new people, and stay safe. I forgot 1 point, go to the track and support motorcycle racing before tracks are empty like they are now in the USA. The 1990s tracks were crowded now since sport bike and insurance so high the youth are priced out of the sport

I have one with the evo akrapovic exhaust flashed ecu, and power commander. Dyno is only 180 hp. If his bike is getting 197 hp it has to be a race tune. If anyone else has an answer to this let me know.
Send it to Moore Performance for an improved ECU flash, or sell it to me haha

The Ducati 1299 has 205hp at the crank and always seems to dyno at the rear wheel at about 174ish...I honestly dont see this bike getting a dyno at rear wheel above 180hp.
Chris Martin I have one, I got the ecu flashed and a power commander before getting it dyno tuned and it now gets 180 hp on the dyno. But I ride on the street mainly. A race tune would give it more hp on the dyno I think that’s what he is talking about.

My thoughts too. I like my R1 but I recently checked out a zx10 and it was so much more comfortable to me than my R1. I started out riding Kawasaki then went to Yamaha. I think it's time to come back home to Kawasaki.
I just brought 2018 R1 but sadly I am having problem with this new look I still have my old 2007 R1 TOO may be I just me I like old body style better

They make shit Brembo's for bragging rights and bike sales! Ohlins (Showlins) also have inferior parts for standard fitment!
tatuksa they aren't shit. For the road bike they dull down the master cylinder so newbs don't wash out the front end. If you change the MC to RCS19. The breaks are epic! I have a 2016 KRT Winter Edition and it's sensational!
I have to agree. It's all about the MC. Change it to a brembo RCS and you will understand everything is good :)

Yep, Kawasaki claims 197bhp at the crank. On our dyno they make around 192bhp at the rear wheel. Cheers. Neevesy
neevesybikes well not in the U.S. I know you have a slightly different measure of horsepower (PS) but it shouldn't be this far off. I know the bikes are tuned differently as well. still kawis here are putting down about 170 to the rear wheel

Great vid guys, I have a standard ZX10R is it that much different? Is it worth the extra for a road rider? For the kind of money you pay id expect a better exhaust? carbon fairings are a complete waste of money. Zero to minimal weight savings at best. Almost a purely aesthetic thing to have
If you're not buying this bike for racing, then yes it's meaningless and getting the "regular" one is better, but to me neither have meaning for street riding.
First off this bike is made in super limited numbers that's the first hit against it, second why only offer QS for up & down only in the RR. Next, this bike does not have heated grips or cruise control so no thank you!
