  • Hi There,
In this video let us explore the possibility of using a Tesla Wall charger for BYD car. Is it worth getting or should you use the cable that came with the car.
We will also look at the charging speed for these methods.

      Thanks for sharing,
I am just wondering which shopping centre would that be? Giving out charging for free?

@@EVandThings my local shopping centre is the Hyperdome but the plug share app will tell you where all the free chargers are in Queensland. most shopping centres in Queensland have free AC charging. the only thing people pay for is DC charging here. everything else is free. I know down south there isn't much free charging at all in NSW and VIC but in Queensland is very popular and handy, that what's one of the reasons why I got a Tesla because so many free Tesla chargers. all run at 12kw AC charging on model 3 so it fast ac charging which is great.

Hi Thanks for the great videos. Has a Byd and is planning to get a Tesla Gen 3 as it is cheaper. Just wondering about schedule charging, in atto 3 when I schedule charging it always gives me warning that I should only use Byd approved chargers for schedule charging. Just wondering if I am able to schedule charging on Tesla charger itself with Tesla app. Also can I decrease the amp on Tesla charger using Tesla app. Thanks

Did you find out more from BYD service tech why it’s not charging at 7kw? Am getting the same charger installed in single phase 32a setup to charge BYD seal, will speak to my installer to see if they can shed some light

I'm getting a BYD soon. I have a tesla wall charger installed at my house. I'm curious to know too what the issue with charging the BYD with the Tesla charger is too.

@@john23w Isn't atto 3 11kw 3 phase with AC? So with only 1 phase 3,6kw it is. Atleast Atto 3 is 11kw 3 phase AC here in Finland.
