    Great shave you Lather Building Master 😊
    Have a great day and week, Lawrie!

      Thank you Robert👍 The old Tallow based MWF gives me a great lather but it does require more time and patience to build the lather, the new 2024 vegi version lathers easier and performs basically the same IMO. Have the best week brother👍🤠👌

    Hello Lawrie🙋🏻‍♂️, a very interesting video.The Mitchell`s Wool Fat shaving soap is an inexpensive soap with good properties 👍.The Proraso Red After Shave is excellent and I use it very often👌.Wish you a great week. Many greetings from Maik from Germany🙋🏻‍♂️.

      Thank you Maik (from Germany)😀 MWF if purchased in a refill puck is awesome value, even the new 2024 vegi release does a great job. I use the Proraso AS splashes quite often, both the Red and the Green. Have a wonderful week brother👍🤠👌

    Great shave, Mate!!
    That old Style handle looks appealing!!
    I have a few Lord razors (L6 and L7) that've never made it to the channel...
    Have a great week!!

      Thank you SIG👌 Just love some of the old brush handle shapes and so I get them "cloned" by a local brush Artisan who does a great job with them, I have some more planned. The Lord L6 is definitely nothing fancy and finish is mediocre but it does give me a great shave, I have a number of "cheapo" razors that I will feature over the next few months, these are a type of razors I would collect 10 years ago. Have the best week brother and travel safely👌🤠👌

    Thanks for the review and the demo on the soap lathering.
    IMO it's too much water, but if that works for you, it's fine. Everyone is different

    • @unclelshaves
      @unclelshaves  2 месяца назад +1

      Agreed how wet we make a lather is a personal thing, I thought the lather was nicely hydrated but could have done with a bit more beating to get some more of bubbles down, still it performed great which is it's main purpose. Take care brother👍🤠👌

    Nice one Lawrie, it’s a great soap, It’s made in Yorkshire not too far from Sheffield where I was born, I just lather straight from the puck in the ceramic bowl. Thanks for the video Lather master 😂 have a good week

      Thank you Paul🦊 Lathering with a soap slice or scoop is my preferred build method but the soap piece I used for the shave was quite dry and hard so next time I think I'll load straight from the puck. I used the old Tallow puck in this shave but the improved 2024 vegi version works nearly as well. Have a great week brother👌😎👌

    Great shave, I will try the Aldi Goats milk soap as a pre shave. I have been using the Pears Mint or Lemon good value. That’s a great lather.

    • @unclelshaves
      @unclelshaves  2 месяца назад +1

      Thank you Gary👌 Yes the Aldi Goats Milk is a good pre-shave and inexpensive, it has virtually no scent, the clear Pears is also great but is scented. The Tallow based MWF requires a bit more patience in the lather build but lather rewards are worth it. Take care brother👌🤠👍

    Amazing lathering Lawrie. I like the scent of MWF. Unfortunately, my local water source isn't compatible. I have to use boiled water.

    • @unclelshaves
      @unclelshaves  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks Jim👍 Sorry to hear that you water is a bit hard, my water is quite soft and don't have any trouble with this Tallow MWF. Have you tried the updated 2024 vegi release, it's available at Connaught? it maybe less sensitive to water quality. Take care brother👌🤠👌

      Thank you Buddy👌 Yes I do measure my quantities of soap and water, I know it's not necessary but I like to know. Take care brother👌🤠👌

    • @10floz30minutes
      @10floz30minutes 2 месяца назад +1

      @@unclelshaves I also like to know and have been measuring them for most of my shaves the last couple of years. For what you showed here, MWF can take a very large amount of water.

    • @unclelshaves
      @unclelshaves  2 месяца назад

      Totally agree with that, I could easily added more water to this build and may have even helped the structure a bit more, I was happy with the result anyway.🤠
