edit: probably just because of a newer model, figured it out super useful
but how do i switch the second monitor as number 1, and not number 2, because when i switched my monitor as my main display it still said number 2, and i dont want my laptop screen to be number 1

Next week I will start teaching computer classes (for older adults) using Zoom and need to have dual monitors with one to be shared with the class, while still being able to view the students in the Zoom window. That's nice, but how to change display numbers? I want to set NR 1 for external display. There is tons of instructions on internet that show or explain the same, but no suggestions how to change display number.

Hey, if my monitor is 188hz and my laptop is 60hz
So if my laptop is 60hz and im screen sharing my laptops 60hz screen will the monitor be screensharing 60hz or 188hz?

I knew how to do this, I searched for it hoping to see if yours did what mine did. I accidentally set my second display as my main, so everything went over to that display. I changed it back to my laptop but my apps didn't go back over to that screen. I had to drag them back over to it, kind of weird.
but this still doesnt change which monitor is 1 , I need to set my monitor to from 2 to be 1, how can I do that??

Those little icons in bottom right corner didnt move and stayed on my second display. What to do?
If the laptop if removed from the monitor does the monitor keep its display or will everything go away without the laptop

im using the amd adrenalin recording software and for some reason its recording my secondary monitor instead of my primary anyone know how to fix this?

I have spent several hours trying to make my main monitor # 1 as it is always shown as # 2. My main monitor is my 27 inch Asus and my 2nd one is my TV. However the computer always show my TV as the main Monitor. Regardless I cannot change it. The video here showed nothing newto me and I thought maybe this video may have a trick on how do it. No. he just showed the very basic way that most already know
My laptop freezes when I do this now and I have to hold the power button to shut down. I don't know why. Used to work fine. Tried a different HDMI cable, fresh windows 10 install. Every different setting. I've tried everything. Can't find any answers. Works fine unless I try to use it with my monitor anymore.

What do I do if I accidentally chose Show Only One mistakenly and saved? How do I get back to extended? Surface & Surface dock with HP monitor. I no longer can choose.

My main monitor is working as a main monitor should, yet it's called '' 2 '' and my second monitor is called '' 1''. It has no real impact, but it's just annoying for me - can I change that? Or do you know how to fix it?

Except it doesn't do anything and it keeps recerting it back and I even went into nvidia control panel and I didn't work it's just all a shit show. I want into nvidia control, Switched the monitors and they fucking switched back. Every time I switched the monitors it would force it back.
