I use an old violin case in which to carry my tin whistle, I find it big enough to also hold my sandwiches 🥪 and a bottle of beer!

Hard travel case idea: PVC tube. Cut to fit and pop a cap--available with the pipe fittings--on either end. Spray paint to make it look fancy.

I did something like that for a rather expensive high d whistle, only I stitched leather around the conduit and made a leather cap attachment. In the base of the conduit I put a small piece of sponge. I made an all leather case for my low D with dee rings and a carry strap to sling it over my back, pack or what-have-you. A pity I can't link a photo or two for better description.

I keep most of mine in two zip up drumstick cases. You can pick them up on ebay quite cheaply and they do the job quite well for any whistle up to a Bb.

I wanted to display my whistles so I bought a large (24" x 16") bamboo cutting board and used vinyl coated cup hooks (2 for each whistle) to hold them horizontally on the board. A cutting board of that size will hold 8-10 whistles. I attached two mirror hangers on the back so it could be displayed on my wall.

Drum stick bags are excellent for whistle storage. They can hold about eight whistles, and are long enough to hold a low G. Since they're fabric, any moisture can wick away easily.

Along the lines of the very nice paint tube case you can look for "tool rolls" and also "knife rolls" for chef knives. You can go from inexpensive nylon to very nice looking leather, and many have handles, and zippers than turn the roll into a case.

The best idea I had (which I thought was original, until I saw the post from 'Reeldin 58') was the drumstick bag. Works perfect! The whistles are very protected in there as well. There are even slim half-size stick bags if you're storing no more then 10. The longest I have in there is a Bb as well. Stick bags also typically have pockets for other storage, and many of them have stitched dividers for separating.

I use a great snooker cue bag which has a strap and fits my D flute, 2 or 3 low whistles, about half a dozen high whistles and my little box of PTFE tape, tuning grease and conveniently a bottle of buck fast or 4 cans of dark fruits

For a sturdy travel case which you don't have to make yourself, check out shotgun microphone cases. You can get 3 Rycote mic tubes for about £10 and they extend from 200 - 340mm. Wouldn't suit the bigger whistles, but for smaller ones they could be ideal. Chuck it in a bag or case and not worry about it getting bent out of shape!

Some good ideas. To make your cardboard tubes look nicer, you can just use PVA glue, to glue fabric, coloured paper, soft leather/vinyl, or any thing around them... Craft to your hart's content

My recorder came in an linen cloth case, and there was some extra space in there, so i took a small piece of paper (like magazine paper, more "plastic"), made a roll and let in there, so my tin whistle slide inside the paper roll and stand side by side with the recorder ( my recorder is plastic, even if they where sided without the paper would not damage it or anything). 1 Case 2 instruments!

I use a wooden upright box so my whistle and recorder can stand up. In the future I'd love to have more whistles though I'll probably end up making them...probably from PVC pipe. Edit(half week later): Actually I'll be making my own whistles out of Brass(?) pipes from a old camera tripod my mother had. I can easily make 11 whistles, as of which key to which them, I got no idea but it would be nice to make them C, B, A, E, F, and G since I have a D. Whether it'll worked out or not...I don't know. Wish me luck since I have never made a whistle before. lol

Stephanie, Wow! I love the oriental Stephanie! I'm not sure if you were going for an oriental look, but that was my first impression. Your eyes are so beautiful in the natural lighting and everything about you! Your robe looks silky, satiny, oriental and very beautiful. I've always been a big fan of the way you are wearing your hair. It's very out of the way and convenient for you and at the same time very beautiful and attractive. Just last week I was telling a young lady how much I like her hair the way you are wearing yours in this video and she said I like it too because I like for my hair to be out of the way and I don't have to fuss with it. And I said, that is why I wear a hat most of the time because if I didn't I'd be having to comb my hair every five minutes. Yes, I do have wavy, thick hair with all sorts of tsunamis going on. Haha! With your hair up like that you look so elegant, feminine, delicate, beautiful and all of the ways that change my chemistry in a positive way! You probably didn't have any idea that such a simple little impromptu video would have such a positive affect on me, but maybe you did because you've always had that way with me you must know by now. Now, about the other wonderful things about this video... You have such a wonderful organized neatness about you. You have presented some really neat ideas here. And while I'm talking about presentations... You must know by now that I love the way you describe and present anything that you have. I could watch and listen to you present anything, everything, all the time, everyday! I know that you went to Japan last year and you said that you brought back something to blow, so it must have been a Sho. So when are you going to show your Sho? Thank you for all that you do and have yourself a merry little Christmas now!

Dude, leave her alone. She doesn't put herself out there and create these awesome videos for all of us who love the whistle so that you can come along and sexually harass her. And in such a disgustingly creepy way.

Ryan the Green Where have you been Dude? I've been commenting and talking to Stephanie for well over a year and she always responds to me in a positive way. My advice to you is... just don't read other men's comments because you have a bad case of combative jealousy syndrome. Why don't you try getting some attention by complimenting Stephanie on her appearance and personally as I have done for over a year now. My experience with Stephanie tells me that she would probably put you in the hater catagory. By the way... In case you don't know, Stephanie is a professional model and makes a living presenting products by using her beauty, charm and sex appeal. That's what models do Dude.

Aho Stephanie, Have you finally purchased some Native American style flutes or did you visit a High Spirits Flutes dealer and photograph the hanging wall display? I noticed three flutes that are nearly identical to three of mine including one of my most played, the Gold Eagle F# with turquoise accents. High Spirits Flutes also sells flute bags. I am really fond of my padded soft cases. I have one each of both the medium and large sizes. Each has a shoulder strap which makes carrying four of my flutes a breeze. That's right each case holds two flutes. The medium case will hold up to my F# as far as length. The large case is advertised to carry any flute up to High Spirits bass A. I use it for carrying my bass C and my bass D flutes. These cases might work well for larger whistles and one could carry a handful of smaller whistles although some padding between would be necessary. These cases are a little pricey but I think they are worth it. Being able to carry my flutes hands free allows me to carry the bag containing all my finger tabs and music. I make one trip from the car instead of two or three. I don't want to sound like an advertisement but when there is a great product it's worth talking about. Oh yeah, High Spirits says to test their padded soft cases they put one of their flutes in one and dropped it from a height of six feet with no damage to the flute. Thank you again for all you do. Happy Fluting, Whistling, Holidays. Toksa Akhe Mitakuye.
