Oh my! I was searching for a different tune and fell on this. It was my first wifes favourite tune on the violin and piano. After her passing (Dec 2001) and my picking up the bagpipes, I learned this tune. But I really like your rendition on the whistle. Emotions flowing tonight, thank you Stephanie
@@CutiepieTinWhistle This particular canon seems to be the quintessential tune played at weddings for some reason or another, especially on the cello and violin. 😖 🎻♫
What a nice coincidence! It was also played at our wedding long time ago. I will do the same and try this beautiful tune in my whistle. Thank you CutiePie!
This is the only song I can play well on the piano. Incredible tune... could listen to/play it for hours. Oh my god, edit! The whistle over the backing track at the end is quite possibly my favorite rendition of this piece ever! The feels are real.
You'll do great, I'm Sure, I didn't get my video in on time, I was to Busy with my other Projects, but She's great at editing all the video's together.
Well that was easy, said no one ever! Beautiful job on that difficult tune. Thank you so much. And like many, it was played at our wedding also. Stay healthy. Love from USA
Too many high notes for my Low D :D haha, especially with so many neighbours home right now! Maybe in a few months time I'll do a mixed whistle version :) x
Such a Beautiful Thin Wistle Tutorial Stephanie, Beautiful Wedding photo, thank you for sharing with us all Wistlers Loving your Talent and Amazing Thin Wistle Tutorials 💙💜🎶❤️🎶💖🎶
Thank you! Another wonderful tutorial! And thank you for leading me to the backing track. Best wishes from Canada for you to stay healthy. We're all in this together.
Thank you so much!!! For all! You are a great teacher! You had asking for new projekts, here it is: Dvorak humoresque, Albinoni Adagio. Don't think it is possible but who know. I'm just originally an guitarguy. Thanks and cheers from germany
Really beautiful Stephanie, you have done a wonderful job of transposing and nutting this one out. I tried and it just got too complicated so a big THANK YOU for this!
Just contracted canonvirus via the internet. Excellent work CP. Many thanks for uploading this (and all your other stuff). Now I've got a project for the next couple of weeks. Stay safe.
The final version made me cry. Music does that to me when it's done well. I played this as a sextet of Highland pipes. The cello line was played by two parts staggered to harmonize. the piano part was played by two pipe and the two whistle parts were played by pipes. Since pipes to not have much to offer in the way of dynamics other pipes would augment various sections for emphasis. At full voice there would be 10 pipes. I'll say though that the cello part seems deceptively simple but carried repeating over that many measures was was a real challenge. You may wonder why? Pipers do not play with music when performing. It would be very interesting if you could split off the cello parts as low D whistles.
Very nicely done! A tricky piece, I can’t even imagine trying to play together with another tin whistler on this. I’ve played a duet of this with my aunt, she on the piano and I on tin whistle. Unfortunately (or maybe thankfully), no recording. Bwahaha!
I appreciate all of the effort and time you put into your videos. I'll definitely be playing Pachelbel's Canon today :) Thank you for everything! (Edit: The first part of this comment was deleted because it is no longer relevant)
Been playing ukuleles for the last five years and fancy a new challenge. Love watching you and wondered if you could do a tutorial for Elàn by Nightwish?
Received my first tin whistle today! Thank you for inspiring me to get one 😊 Edit: A song that might be lovely to make a tutorial of is "Like real people do" by hozier.
Gracias para esto. I was wondering how since the normal song's range is even beyond the pennywhistle. So you can change parts of it. Interesting. Genius
Nicely done! I wanted Bach's "Joy of a Man's Desiring", while my future wife wanted "Pachelbel's Cannon". Guess which song was played as our wedding processional? Also, the thumbnail shows us what Mr. CutiePie Piper looks like. It looks like you had a happy wedding day!
wow.... that's so beautiful.... I will try to join you with my recorder, because I only have whistles in Eb and C.... and they sound horrible... I just received them, they were stored in a barn for more than 15 years...
Thanks for this video, you certainly inspired me to learn how to play tin whistles. And you're so pretty and funny at times, you have such a happy and casual vibe which I really love! I tried to order the Chris Wall whistle but the site update said it's just starting to ship orders made in May 2020! Is this right? I can't believe it!! So if I order now, I'll get it 2 years later? Will you please recommend an alternative for the Chris Wall whistles? I played this in my Clarke Celtic whistle and I don't like it that much :(
It might be worth messaging Chris Wall to see how long delivery will be. There's quite a waiting list, but the whistles are lovely! Toby Dixon DX005 makes a good second whistle 😊 nice pure sound and doesn't need much air, so you can get to the high notes really easily. It might just take some getting used to! Killarney, Lír and Setanta also make great whistles, they're a little more expensive though. Also they probably sounds better the more experience you have playing, but will certainly last a long time!
@@CutiepieTinWhistle Thanks for your reply. I emailed Chris and he said if I order today, I'd get my sweetbrass summer of 2023!!! I think I'll just buy the Dixon.

Wow! When you first picked up a whistle a few years ago could you ever imagine that today you'd be making a video this complex? Great job.
Lovely picture of you and your husband and lovely rendition of music.

I hope the three thousand times I've viewed this has provided plenty of ad revenue. You deserve it, thanks!
Ditto.
It's one of my very favourite classical pieces of music - sooo lovely
Who woulda thunk it. I don't know what Pacobel had in mind but this girl's displayed it as a dance of the fairies. Celtic. Plain and simple.
Can't wait for the sea shanty project to come out!

Amazing! You nailed this. All your hard work paid off.
That was really well done, a real feat and accomplishment as its a hard piece to play. I would like to see you have a go at Bach’s Badinerie suite
I play this on guitar so I definitely have to learn it on my whistle. Maybe I can do a duet with myself lol. Thanks for the tabs!
Terrific. One of the best you've ever done.
You have the same curtains as us!!!! 😀
My mum and dad have them now as we moved house and fancied a change 🤣 though we still have a set upstairs!

What's wrong with all these people pretending that Palchebel Canon is traumatic or melancholic ? This melody is one of the most beautiful in history.
