- Hello beautiful people! This week, in week 2 of UK lockdown, I have a tin whistle duet that you can learn now to play with a friend when this is all over, or learn with someone you'd LOVE to be with right now and play together online! AND of course, you can ALWAYS play with me! :) This is Pachelbel's Canon in D for two tin whistles - a full tutorial and tin whistle tabs. You can even use the tin whistle notes to play on your own.
I really hope this helps you stay connected! x

Oh my! I was searching for a different tune and fell on this. It was my first wifes favourite tune on the violin and piano. After her passing (Dec 2001) and my picking up the bagpipes, I learned this tune. But I really like your rendition on the whistle. Emotions flowing tonight, thank you Stephanie
This was played at our wedding and listening just now has brought tears to my eyes. I will get practicing. Thank you so much x
I think it was played at ours too. I can't remember :D haha, was a whirlwind! So glad you enjoyed it though! x
@@CutiepieTinWhistle This particular canon seems to be the quintessential tune played at weddings for some reason or another, especially on the cello and violin. 😖 🎻♫
What a nice coincidence! It was also played at our wedding long time ago. I will do the same and try this beautiful tune in my whistle. Thank you CutiePie!
And ocuh
Yeah still learning
Wow! When you first picked up a whistle a few years ago could you ever imagine that today you'd be making a video this complex? Great job.
I really enjoyed ur music., thank you
Who woulda thunk it. I don't know what Pacobel had in mind but this girl's displayed it as a dance of the fairies. Celtic. Plain and simple.
Can't wait for the sea shanty project to come out!
You'll do great, I'm Sure, I didn't get my video in on time, I was to Busy with my other Projects, but She's great at editing all the video's together.
Lovely picture of you and your husband and lovely rendition of music.
It's one of my very favourite classical pieces of music - sooo lovely
Meu Deus !!! Muito obrigado Querida!! Vou trabalhar horas e horas nesta música.🙏🙏🙏
This is the only song I can play well on the piano. Incredible tune... could listen to/play it for hours. Oh my god, edit! The whistle over the backing track at the end is quite possibly my favorite rendition of this piece ever! The feels are real.
Thank you so much!!! For all! You are a great teacher! You had asking for new projekts, here it is: Dvorak humoresque, Albinoni Adagio. Don't think it is possible but who know. I'm just originally an guitarguy. Thanks and cheers from germany
Beautifully done. I love the way you worked the ornamentation into it. Would loved to have heard the second part played on your low d whistle 🙂👍
Too many high notes for my Low D :D haha, especially with so many neighbours home right now! Maybe in a few months time I'll do a mixed whistle version :) x
That was really well done, a real feat and accomplishment as its a hard piece to play. I would like to see you have a go at Bach’s Badinerie suite
This is the best thing happened to me today... 🥺 thank you, beautiful.
The final version made me cry. Music does that to me when it's done well. I played this as a sextet of Highland pipes. The cello line was played by two parts staggered to harmonize. the piano part was played by two pipe and the two whistle parts were played by pipes. Since pipes to not have much to offer in the way of dynamics other pipes would augment various sections for emphasis. At full voice there would be 10 pipes. I'll say though that the cello part seems deceptively simple but carried repeating over that many measures was was a real challenge. You may wonder why? Pipers do not play with music when performing.
It would be very interesting if you could split off the cello parts as low D whistles.
Well that was easy, said no one ever! Beautiful job on that difficult tune. Thank you so much. And like many, it was played at our wedding also. Stay healthy. Love from USA
Such a Beautiful Thin Wistle Tutorial Stephanie, Beautiful Wedding photo, thank you for sharing with us all Wistlers Loving your Talent and Amazing Thin Wistle Tutorials 💙💜🎶❤️🎶💖🎶
I play this on guitar so I definitely have to learn it on my whistle. Maybe I can do a duet with myself lol. Thanks for the tabs!
Lovely. I have been trying this piece for a few days now and wow! You post it!
Thank you for sharing your talent! That was BRILLIANT!
Even though this song makes me sad, that was incredible! 🙌
Very beautiful Stephanie 💖...
Thank you, your such an encouragement and inspiration!
Thank you! Beautiful performance!
This is my favorite classical piece! This is amazing! Thanks!
Very nice this music was played at my sisters wedding, so holds great memories
Haha, got the sheetmusic for this a few days ago from the leader of my flute orchestra :D what a coincidence :D
Classy stuff there Stephanie. Love it. Stay safe and be well. 2 thumbs up!
Pachelbel's Canon, Such a Familiar Tune.
Wow! More than well done! I used to play it by bagpipes, but now I‘ll try it with penny whistle...Thank you, dear!
Nice, thanks for the lessons they definitely help.
Genius, thanks.
that was very well done. I love Barok music.
This is my most favourite classical piece.
Thank you much, Stephane! I've been waiting for a long time to watch your cover of this.
Received my first tin whistle today! Thank you for inspiring me to get one 😊
Edit: A song that might be lovely to make a tutorial of is "Like real people do" by hozier.
Belladonna Baggins one of my fav songs!!!!
Amazing! Linda interpretação e música! Ótima musicista! Saudações do Brasil!
I hope the three thousand times I've viewed this has provided plenty of ad revenue. You deserve it, thanks!
Thank you.
Amazing! You nailed this. All your hard work paid off.
Very nicely done! A tricky piece, I can’t even imagine trying to play together with another tin whistler on this. I’ve played a duet of this with my aunt, she on the piano and I on tin whistle. Unfortunately (or maybe thankfully), no recording. Bwahaha!
Terrific. One of the best you've ever done.
My word! You certainly know your way around a whistle! Michael
Thanks so much Michael. I'm pleased you enjoyed it. x
Very good!
Thank you.
Lovely!! Thank you!
Very good... You mastered that... Isolation time, spent well :)
Stay Safe
thanks i really this tutorial, your work is a gift for us congratulations!
Irish Canon in D was played at ours also 💕❤️💕
This song used to be very traumatic for me, but you make it soothing!
Just contracted canonvirus via the internet. Excellent work CP. Many thanks for uploading this (and all your other stuff). Now I've got a project for the next couple of weeks. Stay safe.
Thank you very much for this lesson! 🤗
Fantastic
Really beautiful Stephanie, you have done a wonderful job of transposing and nutting this one out. I tried and it just got too complicated so a big THANK YOU for this!
Gracias para esto. I was wondering how since the normal song's range is even beyond the pennywhistle. So you can change parts of it. Interesting. Genius
Thank you! Another wonderful tutorial! And thank you for leading me to the backing track. Best wishes from Canada for you to stay healthy. We're all in this together.
Been playing ukuleles for the last five years and fancy a new challenge. Love watching you and wondered if you could do a tutorial for Elàn by Nightwish?
It's coming soon! :)
I love this song. Thank you.👍👍👍
You are incredible, it is beautifully played! Thank you very much 💗
Thanks!
Oh thank you so much for your support 💚💚💚💚💚 I really appreciate it! xXx
Thanks for working out all the tabs for this, it must have taken hours. Brilliant job on a beautiful piece of music. Keep up the great work.
I really don' t like this piece of music, too overused but... this version is somehow magical and you did an amazing job!! Well done👏👏👏
Absolutely Brilliant!
wow.... that's so beautiful.... I will try to join you with my recorder,
because I only have whistles in Eb and C.... and they sound horrible... I just received them, they were stored in a barn for more than 15 years...
Beautiful.
Amazing! I love this tune and can't wait to learn it. Thanks so much!
Beautiful playing as always.
Wow! I have to try this once I have time to learn it. It brings back so many orchestra memories :D
Thank you so very much, enjoyed Song very inspirational
Sincerely appreciate,
Kennedy,

You have the same curtains as us!!!! 😀
My mum and dad have them now as we moved house and fancied a change 🤣 though we still have a set upstairs!
Bravo
I appreciate all of the effort and time you put into your videos. I'll definitely be playing Pachelbel's Canon today :) Thank you for everything!
(Edit: The first part of this comment was deleted because it is no longer relevant)
I got you :) x
Nicely done! I wanted Bach's "Joy of a Man's Desiring", while my future wife wanted "Pachelbel's Cannon". Guess which song was played as our wedding processional? Also, the thumbnail shows us what Mr. CutiePie Piper looks like. It looks like you had a happy wedding day!
Wow! Just wow!
Auhhh, you 2 are a cute couple!! Love the wedding photo.
Very helpful CutiePie! Thank you.
SO COOOOOL !!!! Thank You !!!!
A really really great work this vid 👌
Thanks to you 🙏
That was Great! Loved it!
Impressive. That is all I can say
thank you !!!
Amazing ❤
Yer gooood !
Amazing !!
bellissima armonizzazione!!!
That sounded fantastic. I would really appreciate it if you could try the piccolo part from Lieutenant Pigeon's 1971 hit 'Mouldy Old Dough'.
Sei bellissima ❤️ grazie per questi video
Great!
Dear Ms CutiePie, this was wonderful! Can I please request that you play and teach us more classical pieces in the future? God bless! :)
好听,在练习了😄
Ufff Genial....nice....grs
Can you make "Belzebuth-Cul de sac" tutorial, please? :D
Too hard for me but glad to listen .
The main melody is actually not too difficult, especially at the start, but it took me a while to learn to play it too :) start slow and work your way up to it, I'm sure you can do it! x
Can you link to this duet in standard notes please? I can’t read tabs 😢
What's wrong with all these people pretending that Palchebel Canon is traumatic or melancholic ? This melody is one of the most beautiful in history.
You're right I'm sorry to say.
Thanks for this video, you certainly inspired me to learn how to play tin whistles. And you're so pretty and funny at times, you have such a happy and casual vibe which I really love! I tried to order the Chris Wall whistle but the site update said it's just starting to ship orders made in May 2020! Is this right? I can't believe it!! So if I order now, I'll get it 2 years later? Will you please recommend an alternative for the Chris Wall whistles? I played this in my Clarke Celtic whistle and I don't like it that much :(
It might be worth messaging Chris Wall to see how long delivery will be. There's quite a waiting list, but the whistles are lovely!
Toby Dixon DX005 makes a good second whistle 😊 nice pure sound and doesn't need much air, so you can get to the high notes really easily. It might just take some getting used to!
Killarney, Lír and Setanta also make great whistles, they're a little more expensive though. Also they probably sounds better the more experience you have playing, but will certainly last a long time!
@@CutiepieTinWhistle Thanks for your reply. I emailed Chris and he said if I order today, I'd get my sweetbrass summer of 2023!!! I think I'll just buy the Dixon.
Hallo Stephanie.Thank you.Cann you make a tin whistle tabs for ,,Greensleeves to a Ground".For you and us.I like this tune but kann only read a tin whistle tabs
Can you do Barrels of Whiskey by the O’rileys and the Paddyhats? There is tin whistles in there!
I just listened to this song and found out that the whistle part - Dunmore Lasses and Stephane did a tutorial of it))))
"Grab a whistle in D... and a friend..."
someone gonna have new instrument
Can you tell me what the plus signs mean that are under some of the diagrams? I love your teaching and am trying to get more serious about my practice!
There's a video here that will help you understand tabs fully 😊 x
