Very curious about the mead section; I was under he impression that fermented grain drinks, that is, beer, dating back to Abyssinia (?maybe, I think Abyssinia) were considered the oldest fermented drink). Also, the opening paragraph about the bookshop totally grabs me and it is only a matter of time before I find it and read it....
