Dave Roberts is being snubbed because the Dodgers spent a ton of money acquiring marquee players and so the other teams became jealous. But here’s the thing. It became very difficult to guide a team composed of superstars who all have big egos. And Dave Roberts did that so very well. Most importantly, Roberts held together a depleted starting rotation with bailing wire and even had to resort to bullpen games during the postseason! That was genius.
Padres came in 2nd. Machado, Tatis over $300M. Bogarts well over $150+M Darvish also $$MM. Plus they dumped the whole farm system to acquire the best contact hitter Arraez and also acquired the best reliever in Tanner Scott. So yeah, DOC got snubbed. Just like when Matt Kemp got snubbed for the steroid using guy from Milwaukee
6 men rotation during the regular season is fine with me. But what about the playoffs then ? What you do then when all your starters had been on a 5 day rest routine ?Would mean only one starter would get 2 games in a potential 7 game series.
championship is not.won by stats, especially on team sports. i m not saying dont sign soto, i m saying they should re-sign teoscar if he is really a team leader as people said, culture and atmosphere matter.

Jeff, with everything that has come out recently with regards to Dominican ball players ages (i.e.: Pujols being 3 years older than advertised etc) I encourage you to pull up video of Soto when he was “19-20”. His physical development doesn’t pass the eye or smell test where I’m sitting. A 13ish year contract with Soto could realistically start to fall apart 4-5 years from now and then you’re stuck with this old defensive liability that you can’t DH till Shohei retires. The Dodgers could fill all their other needs for the cost of Soto. Great content as always. Keep it up boys, still Champs!!!!!!
