It is the best in my opinion. Most will vote season 2 as its longer and has monkey news and rock busters but this first one contains so many genuine and funny moments as they start to discover Karl and his stories. Just amazing.
I dunno man, now I'm finding the hostility and brevity of season 3 REALLY appealing right now. I think it's cyclical. XFM is the True Detective of tin pot radio.
I basically listened to the later seasons to death cuz of the heavier Karl presence. When I finally dug back into season 1 I found episodes I'd only heard like 3 times! Almost new 😺

During one of Karl's movie ideas he mispronouncing Clive Owen's name, Clive Warren, and Steve teases him by suggesting other actors and mispronouncing their names. Ends on Morgan Fruman and Ricky kind of embarrassed for Steve corrects him. Listened to the bit a dozen times before getting Steve's joke. I just thought he was a dolt that didn't know the names of American actors
