    Very informative, very concise. I wasn't bothered from you reading off a script. It was very clear and covered exactly the questions I had as a rower.

      Glad it was helpful! However, as this is not sponsored content - there wasn't a script!

      Hi thank you - no, I had set up two cameras and I was glancing between the two! I was hoping to make the video a little more dynamic but it didn't quite work out! I am working on doing an updated version as I have been using the NEO for several months now and it is pretty amazing! Watched your rowing - such a skill and hard work for the team. Will follow your content as there are not many channels covering that content! Keep uploading!!

      Hi there - I have been gathering footage, but we had a little bit of a family crisis toward the end of 2024 and so I haven't been able to make an update as yet, but yes, I do intend to! Thank you for posting!

    As a Ex Sealine F37 Owner I Love that you keep your S34, in Great Condition.
    I am now very Close to returning to Boat ownership after 15 years .But Working in Austria Has kept me away from the sea,
    keep up the good work . this is so much better than Other Bigger Aqua Channels

      Thank you so much for your kind words - yes I do try to do as much as I can to keep the boat up to date and wish I could film everything. Only recently I have stripped the windlass down to components and the water pump after the microswitch failed. Often you can find what is wrong. We boat on a budget and try to keep the money for the important things such as enjoying the boat! I do hope you find another boat soon!.

      No, as I have the older twin screw down ones which are absolutely water tight. They were re-sealed a few years ago when when interior was completely refurbished. Incidentally, I noticed that NYA have a coupe of interesting boats around the 40' mark about to hit their listings - one is a Fairline 43AC, and an Azimut 42.

    Auto RTH is part of this great little drone. Worth checking in your settings to make sure you have everything set ☺️👍

      I can get it to RTH with a controller, but each time using the FLY app, it when the battery gets low, it simply just lands! I have updated the DJI fly app to the second release since the NEO has been released and have not yet had a chance to test it since, Also when using the controller, it uses occusync, which gives far greater range I understand. Thank you the pointer and I will pop an update video out soon!

    I have the Neo & Mini 3 Pro.
    I think , for water, the N3 controller is more suitable (cost?) because the N3 has GPS and RTH.
    The N3 is Mini 4 Pro compatible and you can buy propellor guards + the battery life is much longer + wind resistance is better.
    so, I think (cost?) the Mini 4 Pro is better on water with less submarine risk.
    I've had a flyaway (Neo) using Wifi and managed to reconnect by quickly using the N3 to connect (much better range to re-connect + update to controller for RTH).
    I think the Neo is a 'land based' adventure drone with very minimal water usage.

      Hi, thank you for your comprehensive reply - I actually agree pretty much with what you have said and think, in hindsight, that the fly more bundle is probably better value than it was first specc'd advertised as. Having played with the Neo, even land based, although it now tracks at a better speed since the last upgrade, it is completely random and I have had far too many fly aways, random stops or it just landing itself randomly - not good if on the water. On the plus side, it is ridiculously easy to catch - and there are limitations with 4K30 snd so, I would agree the mini 4 is a better drone, but with prop guards, will take it over the magic 249g. I also use an Air2S which is still my favourite drone, and use exemptions offered by Article 16 via my membership to a professional body. Interesting that like myself, you have tried various configs... why oh why don't DJI just make a floaty drone I wonder!

  • @sealineboater
    @sealineboater 4 месяца назад +2

    I had to watch this twice - yes you will need a controller for RTH otherwise you will only have a limited range on the app, Worth making an update, we bought one and dropped it into the pond. We have dried it out and it is still working OK so this may be a good drone. I wonder if it would float with some foam buoyancy?

    • @lovelifeloveboat
      @lovelifeloveboat  4 месяца назад

      Hi, thank you for commenting, that is interesting to know as I am not sure that DJI drones fair too well after getting dunked. Hoping it doesn't happen but yes, it probably wouldn't need alot of buoyancy to keep it afloat!

      Actually been playing with it alot more and it has been really surprising. With the RC2 controller it has a bigger range but still with no RTH. Although new firmware has improved it. I have a new technique... fly it back into the boat and just let it crash... it is as safe as driving a volvo lol

      You're the only RUclipsr that has not got the RTH working every other video. When the battery gets low, it returns to home automatically. I personally have not used to auto return to home, and I just press the return to home button manually as I am not brave enough to fly it too far away like others do.

    • @lovelifeloveboat
      @lovelifeloveboat  4 месяца назад +1

      Hi Greg - are you using the controller - I have been playing with the drone alot more and when using a controller, it does indeed RTH, however, I had, at the point of uploading, only used the follow modes and the DJI FLY app - which has had a couple of updates and another firmware update since I got the drone, and when flying it from the app, I either has a setting wrong or something, but if I don't watch the battery, it simply, just lands. I am planning on a part 2 as I have played with the drone alot more since, and I love it. Up until now I have used an Air 2S and mini 3 pro, but finding this little beastie is delivering some great footage. Thank you for the comment and I will take your advice and keep testing!

    • @gregb1599
      @gregb1599 4 месяца назад +1

      @lovelifeloveboat Yeah, sorry I should have mentioned it only RTH with the controller and phone together, as you know it has the normal DJI display and controls that all the other DJI drones have.

    • @lovelifeloveboat
      @lovelifeloveboat  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes - I should have been clearer in the video that I had not tested it with a normal controller as I did not buy the fly more kit (I already have the air 2S) and so should have tried that for comparison. I will make sure I add more to the update vid.

      Actually with the controller it can as it has had a speed upgrade in the software - however, I wouldn't guarantee that it wouldn't go off and do its own think - probably better off looking at a mini4 pro!
