Iol saw that mock I have to believe Sam is as sick of mocks as we are
Yes, however Kwesi knows his job is on the line if he can not find a QB this off season. KOC wanted Kirk Cousins very much and Kwesi was told by ownership that signing Kirk Cousins was a Top priority and he failed to get it done. Now KOC has identified Caleb Williams as the only QB in this draft that he feels has the talent to operate the offense structure KOC has developed for the Vikings. The Mormon Mistake Hall, was forced on KOC and clearly has no talent. Hall will be off the team before the start of the 2024 season. Everyone but Kwesi knows that Sam Darnold is a bust and will probably be off the team before the end of the 2024 season.. KOC has already shown that he doesn't want to play rookies, so any QB drafted he doesn't like will sit on the bench unless KOC is forced to Play him! This leaves Nick Mullins as the QB who will start the most games during the Vikings 2024 season. Unless he gets injured this season.SKOL.😂😂😂

If Ratler was there in the 4th round they could maybe take him there, but with as few picks as the Vikings have they need to make good use of them.
First time I notice any camaraderie between Forno & Miles. The two are complimentary but they don’t interact and react to one another’s takes. Glad to see a smile between the two talking about chop Robinson.
That’s what I was thinking it was awkward seeing Forno have zero reaction to what Myles said 😂

Not just locker room dynamic, it is a misuse of team resources when we still have holes in the roster at CB, IOL, DT.
Can you imagine if MN added TE Bowers to this offense rather than a backup QB who is not ready to play?
The Vikings need to sell the quality of this draft and the value of the two picks that they have. The Broncos offering first round picks in 2024, 2025, and 2026 would not be equal to the Vikings two picks this year, this is an unusually deep draft in premium positions and drafts of this quality almost rarely come along, QB's, WR's, OT's, Edge Rushers, DT's, and CB's and New England needs players at many of those positions and this would be a great draft for them to start rebuilding their roster.

I still hope we stay where we are or just trade a couple spots, UNLESS we can find a way to get Daniels. If we can, I’d be willing to trade up to 4 firsts….ideally not that much, but it probably would take that to get Washington to budge. And they might still say no.
But Daniels gives this team the highest ceiling

Yeah but only if they can't get one of the guys they really want but if it's a couple of guys they like but don't love with upside..I would do it only if we trade back with one of our first round picks to get a second this year and another later round pick

I’m starting to get interested in the Vikings after about 10 years of declining interest. I don’t care much about the draft because it takes so long to know if you picked well or not. But the idea of a franchise QB, would break the near 50 year rut the Vikings have been in QB wise. They need to get the one KOC really wants.

I don't see it... what I could see is that KOC gets what Darnold was or at least close to what was projected and he gets the Vikings a 3rd rounder supplemental pick in 26

I like the idea of taking both Penix and Maye at those picks. Imagine Patrick mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, just any great QB goes down before the season or super early on the season. I could see a team wanting to win shooting over a first + to bring one of these guys in sense there available

Take a flyer in the 4th/5th round, fine. But even then it would be a stretch to say it was worth it given their lack of capital and need to take as many players as possible to try and address holes at IOL, Edge, DT, CB and LB.
However, there is a 0% chance that they take QBs with their first 2 picks in the first 2 rounds. Never going to happen. Monson just trying to generate some talking points.
So if the Vikings play some hardball with Justin Jefferson, even to the point of trading him. Thinking several chess moves ahead, does this not help them in their negotiations with Jordan Addison in the future?
the problem is supply and demand... Its not pick position. Whether its pick #3 or pick #8 in this mock. The price will be the same cus again they are buying the QB. You go to the store. You have a choice of Nike shoes (JJ McCarthy) or sandals (Penix or Nix) Nike is going to cost more ... What keeps making you all think cus its the next day or 5 days(picks) later the price of the Nike shoe should change? I would expect Atl to want at least 11 and another first plus. (11, 23 and a third) Additionally, KOC and Kwesi showed their hand.. They showed the need and desperation of a QB. Thats exploitation 101! Any team trading with the Vikings not exploiting this situation is broken. A top 4 QB will cost a mint.. Just how much for which one... and the last one will be way more expensive overall. Meaning cus McCarthy would be chosen 4 and cus hes the only Nike left. That last Nike value goes UP! Even if the soles may fall off. IDK if AZ will trade out instead of MHJ. IKD if Chargers will trade out because of Harbaugh spite. At that point its too late cus NYG will take a top 4 QB.

All due respect to Tyler Forness at some point in this draft it won’t hurt a damb thing if the Vikings draft a tackle. Did he watch the offensive line last year? Not their best performance. Tackles were both hurt periodically and we don’t have a starter(one will be 30 this season I believe) all things considered at left guard.
I'm all for taking 1-2 OLineman in this draft, just not a tackle in round one

Is everyone trying to gets KOC fired and Flores hired at HC? Picking all these defensive guys and getting them in FA tells me KOC doesn't matter and neither does offense. We go the route of defense over offense I am definitely iut on the Vikings. Now the Texans know what the hell they are doing its obvious. Going from last to division winners then winning their first playoff game tells me they are headed to the superbowl and winning it in a few years.

I think the Vikings are not going to give up their #23 first round pick because they really want CB Cooper DeJean. If they move up it will be for #11 & future first round picks in 2025 and 2026 or lesser draft capital if QB's begin falling. And I believe the QB's are going to fall because there're so many WR needy teams. I honestly think the Viking are going to stick at pick #11. If they trade up it will be either with the Titan, Falcons, or possible the jets. which might cost the Vikings 2025 #3 pick. I admit I think the Vikings might pick 2 QB's but the Vikings are in love with CB Cooper DeJean. The CB is a stud! Go watch the highlights.
If they have pegged the QB they want I say they give up 11&23 and possibly 2025 1st rounder. We need a franchise QB period. With 100 million in cap space in 2025 they can build the rest of the team and be a contender easily.

Our IOL is still a mess guards and center do matter it's the shortest path to the QB Jackson Powers Johnson would be a great addition to our team and I think after QB it's priority 1. The last thing we need is to get a young QB seeing ghosts or getting murdered. Bradbury needs to be replaced soon and Brandle is a backup Ingram is not good. And we have nothing else. FIX THAT PROBLEM
i got nervous about this until I realized that these are just draft picks. Scouts are really not that good. College players often fail to progess to the NFL succcessfully. UDFA's are not rare in the HOF

Forno, the Vikes need big corners, we have too many guys who are really short and cannot elevate, so I am out on that little corner.
In fairness, Akayleb Evans is over 6'2" and Shaquill Griffin is 6'

I agree if you can't get your guy and you like a couple of high risk high reward guys like Penix Jr who I think they actually want and if so with the injury history go after a guy like Spencer Rattler for insurance and me personally I think both or least one of them can potentially be very good.
That's why we need to improve our IOL and keep our QB healthy.
