    Bo could easily be QB3-4 on some teams board. I'd call this a heist for the Vikings.

    It’s in those teams best interest to mislead Schrager ,by telling him some bogus picks. Knowing he is going to make it public.

    I am not a Nix fan but I would take Penix. He has a higher upside. Trade ups usually doesn’t insure a win. Too many bad draft trades out there. Last year was a good example with Young and Stroud. Some of that was the teams fault.

    I’ve come around on the idea of Bo Nix and not giving up the farm. Maye worries me the most of the QB prospects but at this point, they pick who they pick bc I know NOTHING 😅

      I'd really prefer not to take Nix at 11 though. If he falls to 23 then I'd be fine with it.

      I'm still not sold on Nix. Personally I got Darnold > Nix. If they can't get one of the top 4 QBs I can see them going with CB at #11 (too early for Penix) and iDL at #23 then picking up Pratt on day 3 (if still there) for QB depth. But... I know nothing also. LMAO😂🤣

    The more mocks I see, the more I think NYG taking QB is a big smokescreen to get a top WR/OT to drop to them.
    Now obviously this could change if one of the top QBs drop to them at 6, but I don't think the McCarthy interest is real. I think they would take Daniels if he fell and possibly Maye.
    I think the Vikings will risk letting JJ get to 7 or 8 and try to trade up there. I do believe Kwesi when he says he'd like to keep 23, which may not be possible if going to 4 or 5. I think 23 can safely be removed from trade talks if it's for pick 7 or 8.
    ATL is routinely mocked Dallas Turner, and I believe he'd still be available at 11 if they traded with the Vikings. (maybe the Vikings can just stick and pick at 8 if a swap happens because of the tampering).

    I get it that a lot of WR's are going to move in the first round. But i think alot of people are discounting all the offensive tackles that likely will get selcted in the top half.

  • @christophermorrison1931
    @christophermorrison1931 Месяц назад +1

    Draft excpert Cecil Lammey has sources in New York and is saying that The Giants moving up is a smoke screen. They desperately need a WR and Tackle and are hoping the Vikings and or Broncos move up and so they can take a higher caliber WR or OT because they drop.

  • @PtlRG1
    @PtlRG1 Месяц назад +1

    I like Schrager, however all mock drafts are mute to this point simply because the NFL has NOT announced a resolution of the tampering with Cousins ordeal. What if they force Atlanta to swap picks 8 and 11 with the Vikings? Or better yet, they outright GIVE the Vikings the #8 pick which would give us the 8th,11th, and 23rd pick? No one would be able to outbid us to move up. All mocks to this point are worthless as the paper they are written on.

    If I'm ARI, there's almost no incentive to trade back to #11 just to get and extra first rounder. Using the same logic as the Vikes being in a better spot picking #11/#23 than trading back, so is ARI to stick and pick since they'd be guaranreed MHJ or Nabors AND they'd land a high quality player at #27.
    Which is why the sweet spot for us is to also stick and pick. It gurantees you two shots at high quality players of any position at the highest possible spot available. If one busts, you still have one quality starter. Using this formula, I'd much prefer Penix or Nix at #23 and a positional stud at #11 vs just McCarthy.

      I can condense your entire post in three words: Same old shit. It's worked to keep us in the middle of the pack for over 50 years, so whynot keep in the middle of the pack for another 50 years, right? Apparently "SKOL" is really spelled "SSDD."

    • @First_and_skol
      @First_and_skol Месяц назад

      @Tom-ut6ky Everyone gets an opinion, so no worries about you disagreeing with me and others who would rather not trade up. But 12 out of the last 22 SB winning QBs were not named Brady or Mahomes. My point was that it's proven you are just as likely to make a SB by having a good QB and an excellent team around him as you are selling out for a great QB.

    The issues here are 3 fold and it will be curious to watch.
    1. JJ has by simulations about a 60% chance kf sliding to 11.
    Now denver, saints, and oakland can all jump. And the likely jump spot is #8, which is why i am curious if we get to saw 8 for 11 due to the kirk stuff.
    Giants have reached before, and will do so again. Even daniel jones was a famous reach.
    Now for this shit. The arguement is, trading down to 11 is too big a drop, and it results in a loss of blu chip player. But you gain two potential starters.
    For my money, i still think chargers will do it because they are full rebuild. But if the pick becomes 8, that is an over pay.
    Every simulation i run says 11 and 23 are enough to get to 3 and of course 5, at 3 we throw in a 5th rounder next year.
    So all this is fair. The guestion is simple. Do teams teams still try to bid against minn. Likely.
    Minn has the smarts to not bid against themselves.
    And are the giants dumb enough to reach. I think they are. The whole staff and gm are on their last leg. What do they care if they ruin another qb. Jones is still rehabbing and they have holes everywhere.

    These mocks want the Giants to take a QB but are you telling me that they are going to draft a QB in the top 10 while Daniel Jones and that trash contract are still on the roster? Because I guarantee you no other team is going to take that contract. Giants have a high chance of looking for a new coach and GM within a calendar year.

  • @lastridge
    @lastridge Месяц назад +2

    I disagree entirely. I don't think that's a a bad mock draft at all. We get one of the top 6 QBs (which are all a dice roll anyway) PLUS an elite talent player at 11?! That's WAAAAAAY better than burning our present and future on a slightly-different dice-roll QB.
    Also, let's give Bo Nix some cred. He could be that guy we roll a 6 on.

  • @peterdattili5947

    In a QB/WR heavy draft we can get 2 day one starters @ 11 & 23. A top 2 OL and DB/DL. Stick with Darnold and Hall. Former #3 in bad spots and our pick- give him more than 2 series to show what he can do. Coach can get the best out of both and the 2 picks can start for years...

    The cardinals and chargers are dump if they don't make that trade down for 2 number 1st-round picks. They can still get their players. If they trade down with Vikings come draft day, someone is going pull the trigger and trade down with the vikings. Skol!
