maybe you don't care, but every time you want to stop drawing, turn back to the first sketch pages, then you realize you are a hundred times better than before
@@kitkat-338 that’s literally impossible though if you’ve been drawing like for years since you were five or something, I’m sure you’re not worse than a five year old. You probably just need to become consistently practising if you only draw like once a month you’re not gonna see any improvement
@@williammclean6594bro fr I draw for a month straight regularly then I stop drawing for several months like 6-7 and when I come back I am way better than before 5 days of practice then I'm back to my prime and while drawing I watch yt vids and gain knowledge.
Working out and building the body will help you with basic anatomy as well. It also helps if you are at gym where you have mirrors and are able to observe people's bodies. This might seem weird, but it does help. It isnt just about observing, it is also about partaking in order to peak your interest in a subject. This way, you are able to learn and retain that information much easier.

I just want to say Niro, the fact that you are giving out SUCH AMAZING guidance for free in such an easy to understand and simplified manner is so awesome. You are one of my favorite art educators on youtube. Thank you for everything you do!

I dont know who you are but i thank you, you posted this 2 or 3 days after i decided to focus on anatomy which is awesome. Also I can't believe this is free, it's so good
A great video for beginners, I have been drawing for a while and still got something of it, it reminded of some important things, such as simplifying the forms and construction which I usually forget since I focus on the details and the rendering. please more stuff like this. God Bless, I pray you have great life.
This video really helped me out, thank you so much for this! I've always been avoiding the anatomy topic cause I felt I'll never be able to draw it well but your tips and explanations made me understand it a lot better
Great tutorial. But I'm still stuck between drawing the rib cage as a box or as an oval egg shape when simplifying. I feel like the oval is more anatomically correct whilst the box gives a better understanding of perspective.
Omg 3:18 I always forget that the scapula and collarbone are independent from the ribcage and end up drawing a straight line just like you described Thanks😭😭
Took me years to grasp anatomy. The journey is the fun part of it all, its a "shoot for the stars, land on the moon" ordeal. Just try it all and figure out what seems to pronounce best in your style.
so when doing the ribcage, the halfway point would be where the chest ends and then the bottom third is where the split in the ribcage occurs? That part wasnt really clear to me
although the video is great and you draw way better figures than me, some of the anatomy that you teach is admittedly incorrect. For example you saying that the humerus bone of the arm is equal to ulna/radius in length. That is not true. The ulna/radius is 3/4 of the humerus length. However if we take the palm box into account THEN it is a 1:1 ratio. So upper arm = forearm + the palm box. About the palm box as well, you seem to draw it completely flat. However in actuality that is not the case. The palm box curves upwards ( if we are looking at the back of our hand) / inwards if we are looking at our palm. Because of this mistake some of your hand drawings end up looking weird. Home someone found this helpful, bye
Just wating to give my opinion, i thiki drawing figures with 3d shapes removed alot of dynamisms to the figure and just makes the movement look a lot more static It can be great to simplify tho but since the energy of the drawing is more important idk if it's a good exercise
Hi, i draw since i was a kid, i studied recently Morpho, Hampton, something of Bridgman. I still never use costruction. I dunno if i have super Power but boxes mannequin, are worse for me in drawing. I draw straight ahed, boxes only in study. Im missin something?im doing Draw a box challenge too but i dont Need to use all of this stuff in figure drawing :(((

This is how I'm feeling rn I'd definitely do this
I honestly think the most fun subject in art is anatomy because its the foundation of a character
It is fun but I think it's also painful at the same time
@@Incauly True but i think the good thing is we all see people every day so we know what we need to improve so it's easier to reflect upon
@@Incauly painful because construction is thousands of cubes and spheres :/

Than you very much for Simplifying (every artist Nemesis) Anatomy! Now the gears are turning 😭

this is incredibly well made and simple but covers more than enough for most people to learn anatomy. kudos
So helpful, and precisely when I needed it most. Thank you for this video❤️
need a video on your thought process when drawing a woman/man's body, what you change and add. great video btw
This is a solid video, this is like an overview of prokos anatomy course and anatomy books like Bammes life drawing book
