    Gotta say, this is a better demonstration of the plugin in Morello style jams than the official reveal video. Absolutely killer.

    Holy moley... I'm not usually a fan of rock star virtual rigs but this one is amazing... and the song you wrote for it is incredible, Pete. Well done!

    I was watching this while eating a bowl of home made spicy stew during a typical damp NZ winter. Then I realized I was listening to the video, but actually doing my dishes straight away after eating, instead of leaving them until tomorrow. Wow. Pete's good habits rubbing off on me even beyond guitar playing 🤣

    When it was released I was hoping that you would review it. 😀
    Even though the effects are cool I have to say that the Marshall amp sounds really good and might the reason alone I get it.
    Also thanks for the wireless pedal too. Look really sweet!

    I just found out how great the pitch shifter was in the quad cortex a few weeks ago when I fogot my D standard guitar for a gig. I decided to no longer bring it and use the pitch shifter from now on. I tried to see if I could do the same for my Journey Tribute, but when playing clean parts for Mother Father, Still They Ride, and I'll be Alright, there were some artifacts on the more complex chords. For Sweet Child O Mine and Home Sweet Home in my other band, it worked fine with clean, probable because the chords are pretty basic.

    I have no use for this as far as its bag of tricks, but I'm impressed at its functionality. The pitch shifting is incredible imo. I'm so surprised at how good chords sound. To be honest, I haven't listened to a lot of other plugins with that function to compare. I just like the sound of this one.

    Pete, you have to try Rabea's neural dsp archetype plugin I am sure you will love it. Thanks for showing the pedal, I was thinking of buying this exact pedal and I'll have to check out Rabea's video on the setup.

      Dont botter , its over priced, just get any cheap $15 volume pedal then use a blue tooth midi interface , Mac $35 -$50 ....done!

  • @AudioJanitor
    @AudioJanitor Год назад +3

    Don't buy the $150+ BT pedal if you alreaydy have a USB one (volume/expression etc)..
    Open up any Neural DSP plugin > Audio Settings and enable where your USB pedal is.
    Then right click ANY pedal or effect knob and "Learn MIDI" will appear.
    Enjoy controlling any parameter even down to just one knob like delay mix. AND yes, the setting is saved for next time. Just tested this out and saved $150+.
    💪

    I just don’t see this as a tone people were asking for? Idk. I have zero interest in this. Awesome video and demo though as usual. Fun stuff, just seems too much niche effects that won’t get much use for me. I feel like guys who are really into this stuff already have a whammy pedal and other wild stuff like that to make the sounds.

  • @officialmetalwill

    There is absolutely nothing special about Tom Morello's rig. It's a few pedals into a 50 watt JCM 800 and a shitty Peavey 4x12. I don't see any need for any kind of signature plugins. You could emulate his rig to the T with any kind of modeling software.

    • @PeteThorn
      @PeteThorn  Год назад +5

      Watch the video. The transpose plus drop feature- I’ve never heard anything else do that. Nothing, not like that (that well). Plus the Marshall just sounds cool, and the cab emulation is great.
      Don’t be f-ing jaded! Stay in the light yoooooooo
