I nominate Asiya Mohammed. Here is a short introduction. Asiya met with a tragic train accident in 1994 when she was just two years old. She was playing at the Ganjoni Estate in Mombasa prior to the accident. She eventually lost both her legs and many fingers on her left hand during the accident.[3] She endured severe difficulties during her childhood as she lost both of her parents due to various circumstances and even had hard time to accept herself. Her father was shell shocked when he got to know about his daughter's accident and died following a sudden stroke. Her mother also died eight years after the accident and Asiya was left orphaned. Her relatives later became the guardians of her.
Asiya has defied all these odds to become what she is today. A young independent lady with a regular job participating in all aspects of societal life. The first Kenyan female rower to compete at the Paralympics. A motivational speaker at various functions and events that motivates and empowers the less priviledged, etc, etc, etc It is difficult to find the right words to describe Asiya's personality. You need to meet her to understand. There are thousands out there that deserve to get this opportunity, but I put Asiya on the top of the list!

Brian her 1st born was born normally like many other kids but when he was around 5 years old he was diagnosed with a disease that paralysed him completely for more than 7 years now. mama brian stopped woking for the sake of this boy. As a family they used all their assets including their house hold items to cater for the boy to some extent they were about to evicted due to rent issues. currently they are unable to pay for Brians therapy leave alone transport to take him to hospital. , he was even supposed to undergo for an operation/surgery in agakhan hospital but the family is unable to pay for it.
The family lives in thika makongeni, deep down i have no doubt to nominate this family , they realy deserve it not only to transport brian to hospital but also as a reward to mama brian who left her job to take care of his son for all these years.

Hello Lynn and Maridady team, God abundantly bless you for the amazing work that you're doing.
My name is Wacera Maina and I'd like to nominate myself. Mine is acquired disability. I've been a sickling since I was 4 years old. Bad tonsillitis, allergies, absence seizures. At age 9 I started experiencing joints inflammation alot of pain and high fevers. I was taken to a number of hospitals and went through some few mis- diagnosis before the I was given the right diagnosis. At age 11 I was told I have Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, then at age 12 I was diagnosed with SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematous). I was put on different medications and I was able to go back to school. But I never lasted more than a week in school.
My left hip was badly damaged and I had it replaced in 2013, it dislocated and I had revised in 2018. I still use an elbow crutch since my first hip replacement. In 2016 I was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis which involves the bronchials which are tubes that take air to the lungs. I tend to get chest infections. In February I got diagnosed with fungal infection which is quite expensive to treat and takes months. A tablet costs 500 shillings and I take 2 tabs daily. I was recently told by my pulmonologist that I will take the medication for an year. My right hip has really been painful and it needs replacement.
Going to work, or moving around has been quite a challenge due to the morning cold which affects my lungs and joints. I'm so grateful to my employer Zalego Academy for being so understanding of the challenges I face.
It was my desire to do driving this year but due to the expensive fungal medication, the desire seems like a far dream. To be blessed with this car would make it easier to go to work and church.

I nominate Eunice Wacera Maina. Words can’t say it all in this space. Wacera is a warrior, a very loving, caring, God fearing and intelligent lady. I’ve known her for years and as she has described in detail above, she has been through so much that I always wonder how she withstands the challenges in her life. She has suffered from serious and debilitating illnesses from a very tender age but she has not given up. Even during these times she has the courage to and desire to get up everyday and try to make her life and other people’s lives better. She has the fighter spirit and all she needs is that chance and support to help her get to her next level. This will be a golden opportunity for her and that’s why I’m nominating her for a car.

He is my warrior, my mentor and mostly important he is someone who's impacted several lives positively. I therefore nominate him for this prize so he can reach out for as many People as possible.
