I got my LG C1 last week on recommendations from your channel and a few others. I love this thing, so beautiful for movies and games. I figured out you could customize the hdmi names but I didn't know the voice recognition would also match and work. Thanks for the tip Paul.
Nice vid! But smarter way if you have an iPhone is to add the tv to apple home app and make scenes change input to ps5, tv box etc. and then without pussing any button but just say hey Siri change to tv box etc. also in apple home app you can change the name of the hdmi and you can also open close the tv with Siri and if you are away from home if you have an HomeKit hub like HomePod or app tv4k!!

I've also assigned my hdmi's to my numbered keys by long pressing say 7 that will switch to my xbox series x input and long pressing 8 will switch to my ps5 I think if you just long hold any numbered button that is not alllready assigned then it will give you the option to choose input
Great vid Paul thank you, here's one for you, I have the G1, now I set it up with Alexa and was working fine, though on my app it says my oled TV is offline? And she no longer responds to switching TV on/off, go to RUclips etc, does anyone know how and why this has happened, the app dosent seem to give any instruction or reason as to why the device is offline, seems a bit temperamental to me!? Also cpuld you please tell me what oled care settings I should enable, screen move etc, would any enabled effect the operation of the PQ?
Currently looking at a LG A1 77" as cheap as possible or a B1 if the price is right 120hz really doesn't bother me I will be getting a C2 42" for my gaming rig
I've got a question about this television, i bought one with your advice and I'm loving it all the way but what i don't like is that any Bluetooth device can attempt to connect to the tv and i don't see a way to stop that or turn off Bluetooth etc. Any ideas how to solve this? Hi tech giant. When i first got my C2 and plugged in my Xbox it automatically labelled it Xbox Series X. I moved my Xbox to another hdmi port and it didn't label it that time. It just says HDMI 2. It doest really matter to me but i wondered why. Is it not detecting it properly or something? Customer care suggested i do a reset.

Hopefully they sort this out, but currently when using the PS5 you can't toggle ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) on it's own like you can on Xbox or PC, important if you use Black Frame Insertion on LG TV's, as they can't work at the same time. Only current option is to disable Hdmi 2.1 settings on the PS5, which means you miss the other features. BFI doesn't work with VRR anyway, but they need to implement a ALLM toggle regardless.
Hello giant. I want to know how to deactivate the auto detection of devices, since once I change the name for example to pc mode, when I turn on my console it changes to video game console, if you can help me with this.
For me the Input button on the remote of the C1 does not seem to work...it does nothing :( I re-registered the remote, still nothing. Did I miss something?

A bit off topic, but I wonder if you can help with an issue I have with volume control. I use a satellite input as the terrestrial signal in my area is awful. Normally if viewing directly from the TV the volume needs to be at about 20. However if I view via my Humax Freesat box, I need to increase this to about 50, and if I view a recording this needs to go up to 80-90. I also find if I stream a film, the background music is much louder than the dialogue requiring judicious juggling o the volume control. Could you comment on this and do you think I have a fault? To be honest you've already got a great TV with the C9, so don't expect a massive leap in quality. IMO, pocessing is a bit better, remotes is a slightly nicer design, but the OS is a bit of a backwards step. 4K 120hz Dolby Vision for gaming is a nice addition, and the game dashboard is definitely welcomed. Sound should be better on the G1, but it took a bit of fiddling to get it sounding nice.Well as nice as you can get a TV's inbuilt speakers to sound. Oh amd do t forget that you'll get 5 years cover on the G1 from LG.Which I know you'll get from JL anyway, but at least you are cover by bothe the manufacturer and the retailer.

I was watching a movie on broadcast TV in my LG C1 when I accidentally bumped into the remote control somehow and then a menu appeared on the screen with the movie still playing. This menu had 6 or 7 circles, each with something written on it (name of an actor/actress from the movie, movie genre, background music...). By clicking at a circle, a little screen (like a PIP one with a mobile telephone screen ratio) appeared on the right side containing a Google search of the content written in the circle. All this with the movie still playing. After I exited that menu, I was absolutely unable to get it on screen again. I believe it is only available for specific contents. But even with the same movie still playing, I couldn't get to it a second time. Does anyone have any idea how to access this menu?
I have a gallery OLED TV and since the last update, my hands-free voice control does not work and even though I go into... general settings... hands-free voice control settings and then activate it to come on, still doesn't work! Anyone else having the same problem?

Have you tried pressing down on the scroll wheel and then on the channel banner?
