- A guided walking tour of the Redondo Beach Pier in Redondo Beach California. The Redondo Beach Pier is the longest "endless" pier on the California coast and is quite popular for it's variety of seafood restaurants: particularly Mexican and Korean seafood. We'll walk through the main pier section, visit inside Quality Seafood Inc, and stroll by the bars and restaurants along the International Boardwalk.
TABLE OF CONTENTS:
00:00 - Redondo Beach Pier
18:40 - Quality Seafood Market
23:11 - International Boardwalk

@@glenndavis8771 Thanks Glenn!
WOW, i practically grew up on that beach. This pier used to be so nice, Tony's restaurant with the beautiful view while u eat and as i got older their strong drinks. There used to be a great pizza place upstairs with the best shrimp pizza.
Grew up just up the hill from the pier. I could easily walk to it from our house. I and my siblings have been going there since we were babies, and our parents and grandparents, and even one set of great grandparents, before us. Now the fifth generation of my family has been going there. Thanks for the show. I've walked this so many times.
looking back in 2003, my uncle Stanley ( deceased ) took me here. it was my first time to see Pelicans. my first time to try buttered lobster. the best ever! thank you so much! you are the best!
I’m here everyday 👌😇
I love it there when i stayed in long beach and my mom use to go just to watch people catch fish
You forgot to mention this Pier ist famous for „The O.C.“. That was the main reason to put it on our list when me and my girlfriend visited California in 2019. We ate breakfast at the bait shop and there even is a picture hanging on the wall with autographs of the cast of The O.C. 🙂 Thank you for your videos! We always watch them and will use them for an upcoming post-pandemic Las Vegas Trip. Best
Thanks for that additional factoid F! And thanks for the kind words!
I was an extra in an episode of the O.C. You can see my blurry back in the background.
@@Pixics thats amazing 😍
My hometown!
Ironically enough, this is the perfect time to visit the Redondo Beach Pier; not crazy crowded and you could actually enjoy the scenery, and explore the shops and the restaurants without having to crawl over people. Great tour. 👍🏻
For sure! It is nice without the crowds. Probably not great for the businesses.. but the parking is easy now :)
I love Redondo beach 😍😍😍
i feel like im on vacation back home watching your videos,, u really do a first class job , up beat , energy ,,, love it!
I miss Hot Dog On A Stick... They’re one of my favorites
Yeah.. too bad they've disappeared from most places
Craig's Hot Dog On A Stick is still there. I went to the pier last week and it's still there😊 + I think there is still one in the Galleria Mall
This is fascinating. I have never heard of an "endless" pier before. Looks like a cool place to walk and dine. Thanks for introducing us to this pier!
Thanks trvln thru!
WONDERLAND REDONDO BEACH
Redondo beach/pier is so underrated
ALL THE GREAT BARS, RESTAURANTS, MUSIC VENUES IN SOUTH BAY, SO MUCH FUN FOR US, OVER THE YEARS.THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES. THE LIGHT HOUSE IS AWESOME, GREAT JAZZ, NOT FAR AWAY.
Great video ! So nice to see the beautiful sunny California coast. Looks like an excellent seafood market. So enjoyable to watch. Thanks Chris.
Thanks Colleen! Yes.. the seafood market is really cool!
So Nice to take a mini holliday without leaving the house!!!! And absolutely when is is snowing outside, cold and wet in The Netherlands!
Love your video's
Thanks Barry!
So Cal is sunny most of the year, we don't have any seasons.
@@Pixics Hope to visit it on my Roadtrip in either 2022 or 2023.... ;-)
@@Barry_BredaNL Awesome, you will have a lot of fun here.
I grew up in the Redondo Beach area during the 50’s and 60’s. I feel very nostalgic about the pier area. I live in Murrieta California now and miss Redondo. Thanks for an arm chair tour.
Very cool!
One of the most awesome place I've ever been for over a month
You carrying your little explorer is #ParentGOALS
Your videos always help me to cheer up. 😊
Right on Maaret!
I really appreciate these pier tours! I dont think you appreciate what a cold winter day is. Yesterday it was a real feel of 1 degrees here! So I appreciate seeing sun which if I am stuck in NY I wont see it until at least May! Thanks again!
Hi Chris. What a very unique pier. I like the wide and open space in the center area. It looks like a great place to enjoy the view. Thanks for sharing.
It sure is! And cool down on a hot day!
Wow, Redondo Beach Pier and the area around it looks really cool! I love all the different seafood options at Quality Seafood!
I love the multiple places to shop and eat here. I am lacking so much awesome these past few months
It's a great place to eat for sure!
Wow!!! I ❤️ every bit of this awesome!! live video😊 thanks for sharing.. I miss CALIFORNIA so much.
Thanks Leta!
My goodness me too. Moved in 1998. Haven't been back since 2018.
Beautiful Scenery! Great Virtual Tour! 😊😊👍👍 AWESOME!
Thanks Walk Around!
Nice tour! I haven’t been to redondo beach pier since the pandemic! It’s crazy to see it so empty.
Thanks K! It is pretty unusual!
Haven't been since 2018. 😭
You are a wealth of information, I'm always amazed how much you know about the locations you visit.
I got to look into getting seafood here, looks very fresh.
Thanks Pixics!
@@YellowProductions Your Welcome
Great tour Chris. Thanks again. Can’t wait to see what you do next
Thanks Cathy!
so glad to see this
Grew up 2-miles away, used to arrive at 4:00am, fishing for halibut, but usually many barracudas, sculpin, occasional sand sharks. My aunts boyfriend was owner of Tony's in late 60's-early 70's, Steak, lobster tails, salads off the charts. Parking very good designated structure, well planned for volume summer time visitors. It's above average pier, used to be kids places for pop corn, cotton candy galore. Very family oriented for most part pier.
You're an early riser David!
Beautiful
Great JOB. THANK
This is just like being there! Fantastic tour
Thanks Malta!
Informative tour
God bless you!
i feel like im on vacation back home watching your videos,, u really do a first class job , up beat , energy ,,, love it!...........how safe is parking ? from theft etc?
Thanks 1955porsche! I really don't know what the crime statistics for car break ins are.. I'm sure it happens.. but I don't think it's rampant
I'm a big fan of piers and what a great narrated walking tour! Thanks for the tidbits and interesting history. Love the idea of eating fresh seafood by the ocean:)
Right on.. thanks Wild Foodie Tours!
Fresh seafood is the best kind of seafood, opposed to not fresh seafood.
in the late '60's - early 70's that pier would be loaded with fishermen catching halibut.
it was pretty good fishing. It's all Fished out now, practically nothing left to catch.
I can hardly believe the hot dog on a stick is still there!
THANKS FOR THE WALK AROUND
Thanks Linda!
♥️Thank you so much this is nice 👍
Big Street Food 🍱...
Thanks Big!
looks very beautiful, Hope to visit LA next year
Thanks Ali!
Another great video! Awe, makes me miss that show The OC. I wish that show didn't end the way it did.
Thanks Ay! Yes.. the OC ending was a bummer!
traveling princess !!! thumbs up !!!
Thanks for the thumbs Glenn!
Great tour! And it's awesome that you try to reply to almost every comment! U rock!!!
Awww.. thanks Richard!
He's a dedicated youtuber
Thanks!
Would just like to add: Redondo Beach Pier is known the world over. It is 1 of the 1st. stops for many visitors. Original Tony's on the pier has been there forever.
Thanks Shirley!
The pier used to be called Horseshoe Pier. Guess they changed it after the last fire.
Love the Korean restaurant...mmm spicy shrimps.
Mmm
Thank you!
Thanks Eran!
Never the forgotten Stooge. Brilliant in his own way.
Very informative vídeo Yellow …
Thanks Dos Bros!
@@YellowProductions You’re welcome keep making those good videos not just with images but with all that great info.. Always good to know all those little details about places most people don’t know

Coll video Chris
Thanks Train Australia!
What kind of a camera did you use for this video? The colors came out really good.
I used the Sony ZV1 on a gimbal
@@YellowProductions Thanks. I was really impressed with the colors in this video. As a side point, you might want to do a video of Griffith Park and the (closed) observatory. There's a spectacular view of L.A. out to the ocean from up there. Parking is $17 an hour!!! Outrageous! But the lower part, near the Greek Theatre is free. Many hiking trails and open space to walk around near the Greek Theatre. Maybe start the video from Los Feliz and Vermont. If you do a video from there, of course, pick a really clear day.
💪💪💪💪
Hey! Would you say this town is more conservative or liberal? Looking to move either here or Huntington Beach from Toronto. Thanks for your videos!
Huntington Beach I'd say is more conservative than Redondo Beach.. if that's what you're asking :)
Would you recommend eating at Quality Seafood for seafood? Or would you suggest eating in LA? Are there seafood restaurants that are closer to LA and worth visiting?
I'd say Quality Seafood is "OK" -- not amazing.. just OK. I prefer Santa Monica Seafood in Santa Monica
Any way you can do a video for Santa Barbara? My fiancée and I are going there soon for our honeymoon?
Hi misfits.. when we visit again we will.. not sure I'll have a video before you go though!
Where can I purchase a Chris Raney Bobble Head?
Hah
Looking for food , eateries , all here
The developers were shut down... couldn't build a mall. So instead they built a mall without a roof and called it a Pier
Pylons not pylings
Food is really expensive in Cali
Cheaper here than NYC :)
@@YellowProductions Not really! I am a New Yorker. Only the tourists traps are expensive here! NYC is one of the cheapest places you can eat in the US!
depends where you eat here in Cali. its not expensive if you know where
to go
