Two Hands Restoration Наука
Very. Sweet 😊. Very. Nice 👍. Work. Love. It. So. Cool 😎. Lee
I like the detail you go into. Your style of videos are great...no disco biscuit music, no super speeded up footage, no product placement of rubbish...thank you!
disco biscuit...is the a common saying where you're from?
I enjoy your videos. Don't show less, I enjoy watching the process. Don't listen to those who criticize your painting skills. Your restoration projects are finished beautifully.
It's good to ask the question about detail. There are quite a few very talented restorers but what separates the good from the great is in the editing
I enjoyed this video
The good ole things might been forgotten, But with some love they never leave you
The more details the better. I love the sounds, too, and the fact there is no talking and no crazy music. It's very relaxing! I love watching your videos.
I think what you show is good
I personally love the details. It really gives you a sense of how much time was spent just working on the handle, or all the hand sanding that went into this project.
As for the paint, you do better than most of us by far. I also appreciate the silence, and the written comments. Keep 'em coming!
@ 18:38 There R NO hard fast rules on painting;... just even coats
NO runs;... light sanding between coats...
The end results is what matters...
If it is pleasing 2 your eyes;... sod everybody else...
Your love & care U put into restoration is satisfying 2 watch...
22:49 what a cute screwdriver! 🥰
Good job man! You are the only guy that actually corrects the imperfections from the original piece!! Your level of detail for work is just fine!
If you like this guy, you should check out My Mechanics. That guy is on a whole nother level
Yeah check out mymechanics and tysytube too ;)
Deat Two Hands, The general idea of these videos is to bring the object that we redo to another level, and for your work I offer you the grade of A +
I truly enjoy and appreciate how you "fix" the items so when they are finished the look restored and not just glossed over and painted.
that IS a turning old good thing into glossy painted shit. He didn even grinded the valves after sandblast. Throwed away square-headed bolts and square nuts and replaced them with too long ones! That's a pity to look at this.
The duration of the video is FINE.
I love this job of you
All restorers are saints!
IMHO you show just the right amount of detail
I love how you demonstrate it after you were completed. I'd love seeing the inside of that pump. As a young man I used to spend my summers with my aunt and uncle on their farm. That pump is what I had to use to give to the pigs and cows. I never knew how it worked until watching your video. Thank you so much for sharing. You really brought back some very good memories I had as a child.
I even love the part when that leather part did not fit and you did not skip a beat. You went right on and found the right size of leather you needed and cut it out perfectly. It even looks like that conditioner was the same as that new part that did not fit.
I have to tell you I was pleasantly surprised when the new leather piece turned out the same color as the old one.
Liked the entire video
Very very good. You even showed it working. Could not ask for more. You did great job.
I love the cleaning process. Thanks for showing it.
The more detailed the project, the happier I am. What I appreciate so much about your videos is you go slow enough to follow, but not so slow to induce sleep.🤣. Thanks again, Patricia from N.H. 👵🏻😷
I think you show the perfect amount, enough to get and understand the idea but not too much where we get bored, keep it up!!
Watch my channel I’m restoring and old abandoned army truck
I for one, enjoy watching every nuance of a restoral. It is important that your audience witnesses how labor intensive this type of work can be. Today's session featured a simple device, yet it required the upmost planning, and an involved disassembly, and cleaning. As if that wasn't enough, There was further finish work including sanding filling, and paint. I can say with all confidence that I am no one to take issue with anyone's method of painting. I'm visually impaired and cant distinguish one coat from another. What I can say is the finished product looked new! It was functional, and brought a keen resurrection of nostalgia for all to behold. I hope you keep as much of your process in every episode. Well Done!
Exactly the right amount! I love that you do printed explanations -- watching the process without vocal commentary is sublime. Makes me want to take classes in metal work for sure.
Nice job ,we'll done sir.if I was to restore this devise I would rather thrown away with giving second thought but your patience and concentration brought a new life to this water pump .thank our much I took time to watch your restoration process .may God continue giving you thrive in restoring many to her thing I will watch with proud
I like seeing every movement you make. Don't cut anything out. Thanks for good posts!!
Let the haters hate. I see no problems with paint skills or length of video. Good job!
First what a great job. The more you show of the restoration, the better. People don't realize what it takes to bring some of these items back to life.
As for your painting skills. You did a great job. Those that can DO. Those that criticize, complain about anything that you do. Again, great job. Reminded me of going to my grand parents. Lol
Good, bad, you're the guy with the spray can. Looks great to me.
I have invested in a paint gun. You can see it on my latest video. I admit I need to learn more about it.
I love how you show so much of the process. Please keep doing so
I wouldn’t worry about comments on painting. As the paint out of the manufactures wasn’t perfect either. Did enjoy the video!!👍👍👍👍😀😀😀😀
I’d say show as much as you want. I can fast forward on my end if I get bored with a section. Some blacksmith videos I FF through the hammering and heating section after a bit. Great video thanks for the free content!
Opened end wrenches not adjustable ones. Really like your work!
Came here for this. Who the hell uses adjustable wrenches in Pro work?
If you are satisfied with your paintjob then your panting skills are not sad😉
I think you did a nice job.
I enjoy watching your detailed cleaning of corroded parts.
Nice work! You even replaced the label! 👏
See spraying everything in the beginning and letting it soak makes sense to me. I don’t know why others don’t do that.
It’s also the use of adjustable wrenches that gets me. Can’t stand using them. Right tool for the job.
I like the level of detail you include. Enough to let us know the various techniques needed/used for the various levels of restoration/repair needed, without showing every drawn out minute of each step.
As for your painting technique/skills... No drips/no runs seems like more than adequate skills to get the job done. :-)
I love detailed videos but I say do what you like your content is awesome and i thank you so much for sharing be blessed
Sometimes women are the better men. Your comment is complex...and I read some comment above, those 🤡 I can not call men. Just complaining and wanting it their way. Mehhh
It's very nice , I don't see anything wrong with your painting. I love that bright red color. Keep doing what you 're doing. Blessings to you.
Definitely show the rust removing parts. It's oddly satisfying to watch lol
I like to watch this kind of videos to try to sleep
Me too I like to watch rust brushing and scrubbing 😄
I had visions of a little field mouse scurrying out when you cleaned out its bedding. Lol. Personally speaking. I think your prep work is not a topic for debate as I feel you justify each piece you vigorously tackle with the love it deserves. Also, your paint skill's, well all I can say is if the finished paint job on my sad car was as good then ide be more than delighted. And my saying all this and knowing I am correct is in viewing the completed task, what can be truly said other than a fantastic undertaking and taken back to factory completion. Well done once again Sir. Peace and Love.
Personally, I like the details. That's part of the reason I watch restoration videos. 🙂
I love the additional comments and information you give on your process. I think it adds to the quality of the video.
Speaking as someone who haven't touched paint cans in over 10 years, I was taught you should start and finish a spray away from the piece to avoid spitting and get an even coat. You both start and finish while aiming the can on the piece which can lead to uneven coats and spittles.
Painting skills are good enough for me. I have an exact one of these.
Your editing is spot on. I love how you put your videos together
As someone who started out watching videos such as these for fun, and now watch them to learn(I am trying to learn as much as I can about metal) I value you tubers that put those little extra steps in. It is very useful. For example: I wouldn’t have known that sandblasting media could benefit from cleaning your projects first.
Great result! I love this restoration!
Excellent restoration, Excellent vide
I like the details and explanations. I've watched several other restoration channels and I never knew why they'd wash the rusty parts before sandblasting them, now I do! Thanks!
Hi! Your. Ideas are about what you do and seem as if you are teaching us as if we were really there. I like to know the thought process behind what is being done, as you did in explaining why you cleaned the items before sandblasting. I like watching the sandblasting, as others have pointed out ,it is soothing. If you are showing something from start to finish, increasing the speed slightly is nice. I especially like seeing the restored item in use at the end. I always look forward to it! I also like when an item is made better than new and how new parts are created. I think that showing difficulties and mistakes are valuable when we see how they are resolved. Nd I like that there is no talking and is one of the reasons I like your channel, but I enjoy the ambient sounds. Seeing more of what is used in restoration and where it is done is of interest to me and I like knowing what products are being used and what they are for as well. Enough said, thank you and I look forward to more of your creative output! Take care and be well! Kelly
Excellent work. Can’t rate it highly enough. 👍🇦🇺
The more the better, these videos relax me and teach little tidbits of ways to do things.
Keep up the good work Brother! The more detailed the better.
Looks great!! You show the right amount of detail so that if anyone else was restoring the same thing they could follow along. Keep it up 😃
Maybe a little less sand blasting, I know a lot of people like it though so like others have said it's easy to skip forward
That point in the project when you see it all coming together. Nice job... really nice.
Your painting skills are just fine ignore all the haters lol
More detail is better. I get a huge sense of accomplishment watching others work. 🙂 Sometimes I watch a guy mow grass for hours
Your do great work keep it up
I think your video's are pretty darn good. You are a better painter than I am.
@ 5:23 Perfect;... just fine... Plus this is a GR8 Channel with GR8 videos...
One of my favorites! I love all the steps, especially the sand blasting and the finally usability! ✊😎
I relied on a "pitcher pump" (not much different from the pump you have there) for my water for a part of my life and if I was away for a bit I had to soak those leathers so they would swell up enough to make the pump work.
I like the way you film
A part of history bought back to life I like seeing these old appliances reused in some villages here water pumps are still being used Mick Thailand
i think your doing a fine job showing your work and what your working on. I like to see more of the tools you use and your cleaning products Keep up the great work.
No I don't think you show to much in your videos. If anything I think you should show a little more. Because of your skill at your job you make the entire process look to easy. I learned how to weld and prep metal in 1983. I like to watch your videos because it brings back memories. Please by all means continue to make these videos and I will continue to watch them with enjoyment.
Beautiful job!
5:23 I personally like it, I find it interesting
Manual cleaning and brushing is my best part, I don’t like when it’s being skipped or speeded up
Awesome for my garden
I'm the full details type of person. I love watching and learning so the more detailed, the better. Thanks for what you're doing, and you're doing it very well.
Your a great painter
Job well done. I grew up on a farm an spent ten years of my life on one of these, had no electricity yet!
As good as your paint finishes turn out..i think youre doing just fine, whatever works for you my friend 😎👌
Damn that was a boat-load of work. Worth it!!! It looks fantastic!
Definitely more
I think you should continue to show as much of the process as possible, I love longer videos and I’m pretty sure other people do too😁
I totally agree.
Your painting skills are better than mine for sure.
Felicitaciones !!! Excelente trabajo. Quedó nueva !!!
I prefer more details myself. Thanks!❤
Awesome job!
This is a great instructional video. I enjoy working on old hand pumps. The BIGGEST hassle is the gate valve assembly at the bottom. I was sure we would see that thing "disassemble" as you applied torque. Surprise, and not a bit of heat or soak! I noticed one old style bolt, AKA, 4-sided as the old ones have for original hardware. I prefer to replace old bolts and nuts with original style in the effort to keep it "original".
Get a 3/8 inchratchet and sockets, and a set of open/box wrenches.. They work a lot easier when the nut/bolt are close to something. Removing the base your adjustable wrench had zero room to swing half the time.
"Right tool for the job." Rarely is an adjustable wrench the right tool.
Very nice restoration. I enjoyed your video.
Slow and steady will get the job done properly and cleaned
Engineers without borders has been refitting pumps across Africa. They're taking the flapper valves out of pumps and installing Tesla valves. Tesla's values have no moving parts unlike the flapper valve. Great build.
I think I'm liking the more complex the item, the more I enjoy the restoration. It appeals to my sense of exactness. Well done! Great editing and great job! Keep it up. Looking forward to future videos.
Sense of exactness? You sound like a M.Eng that lost his diploma at the zoo!
Very nice job! Thank you for the hi lights on the script in white paint. Looks great to me. Wish I knew more about that style pump, we had a hand pump but I have no remembrance of the maker.
I like watching the entire process, from start to finish.
Outstanding restoration, end result a beautiful working hand water pump. Thank you for sharing your time and skills. 👍👍👍👍👍
Wonderful job
I appreciate the step by step detail work.
Beautiful piece of work.
Could you have galvanised it? Would prevent future rust.
Great restoration. Just the right amount of steps being shown in the process.
Regarding how much you show, I don't think too much can ever be shown. I, for one, love detail, and I love seeing it close up and from every angle.
You know (in any video) in the scene where an item is finally dis-assembled? Well, sometimes the videographer scans past the parts too quickly.
I sometimes freeze the video and highlight it (without those annoying double-vertical "Stop" bars in the way - yes, there is a way). Doing so allows me to view a particular scene longer.
