    BTW, this only confirms what we had believed as kids. Bruce Lee was indeed one of the best martial arts fighters of his day, light years ahead of his peers, and is in fact the most influential martial artist of all time. It is good to see the tide is now turning back in his favor since, for so long, folks were bashing him as a fake.

      How?

    • @maexpert11
      @maexpert11 Месяц назад +6

      Alot of people that bash him listen too much to the myths instead of finding out about who the real man was or studying his work, and I'm pretty sure most of them are probably mommy's basement dwellers who have never been in any kind of gym in their lives as well because most people I know that I have trained with and most fighters that I've heard talk about him all have good things to say, he had flaws like anyone else but as a martial artist and philosopher he was a genius

      I never tire of thinking about the time I spent with Bruce because only a few of us had the memories that are part of his legacy. I was a heavyweight boxer in the Air Force. Over a period of four years I had more than a hundred fights and never lost a single one.
      I had a big ego and saw myself as the toughest man in the world. I was 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighed 225. I could knock a man out with both hands. Then I met a small 135 lb 5 ft 7 kid who believed his martial arts skills could beat anyone.
      I decided to explain the reality of fighting to him and proceeded to show him what street fighting is. Needless to say, I learned humility in about 5 seconds. Not only did he stop me cold, but he also tied me up so he could hit me to his heart's content, and the only thing I could do was... nothing.
      Later, I reviewed all my previous skills, including boxing, and threw them all out because they were impractical compared to Bruce's skills.

Like Tyson said...Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. A lot of of stuntmen tried to make their "bones" off of Lee an he just toyed with them like the cat was doing in Return of the Dragon. Bruce was like a gunslinger in the old West that kept having challenges. Maybe that's why he thought of the concept of the Warrior/Kung Fu.

    Yes. I remember that film released as "Bruce Lee and I". Bruce in the red shirt attending the press conference to help promote Unicorn Chan and how no one was taking pictures of Chan unless Bruce was close to him. Didn't Chan die in a car accident in Malaysia? Mixed feelings about Chan and how that secret filming turned out. Lastly, Yusaki Kurata, the villi an in the film, was the one guy Lee should have done a film with. He was sharp. I saw Kurata in a film called " Kung fu, the Invisible fist" where he played "The Hungry Tiger" fighting Chen Zing, "The crazy Dragon" , running and fighting for nineteen minutes in the final fight. He studied shorei- goju karate, which explained his kicks. Very crisp. Sharp. There are pictures of he and Bruce at the Kai Tak airport wearing a strip like shirt like a referee and Bruce wearing a Hawaii flower collar with Linda at his side.

      @@guts7958 look at the title of the video and look at time stamp when he actually answers the question, nearly 8min into the 10min video. he spent 8min faffing before getting to the point. Could habe easily answered the question and then spent 8min talking about what he wants, but he did it in reverse to drag it out and make money. as if he answers it within 2min ppl probably would move to next video. loads of youtubers doing this and it's made RUclips unuseable. i just forward nowadays 75% of a video to get to the actual topic most days or just close the video when i notice faff.

    In that case I care no one of both of them cuz bruce was a narcissist & that guy also seems like a narcissist based on the explanation by this man.
