It's a shame that there was no footage of the Stokes game. There were some legendary players that participated. Would have loved to see some of those players play more freely in a different environment.
I don’t what got into Kent Bensons head. Why elbow him like that? Did someone tell him to do that? Or was he just a jerk? I can’t decide if that was deserved or not
I met kent at a car auction in which he was on stage with the announcers,,,,,,a lunch break ensued; I stopped him and asked him about "the incident" he said it was physical at kents offensive end early in game; so when kareem came down to set up on offense benson elbowed him intentionally- probably to simply send the message that "im a rookie but Im not afraid". We know the rest. Benson also said that moses malone was toughest center he ever faced: I believe partially true due to moses relentless play on offensive glass but also highly influenced by kareem breaking kents face in kents FIRST game. No matter; people generally did not want to fight kareem. The bruce lee training mustve been evident; I never was anyone swing at kareem; not even laimbeer .

Kareem was low-key dirty. His image is too pure to the younger generation of fans. They need to know this side.
I swear these kids think Kareem could do no wrong. He was called aloof for a reason.
kareem got beat up all career long because of his offensive skills. Wilt tried it; cowens tried it,,,reed tried it,,,lacey tried it; lanier tried it... malone tried it. Only thurmond and walton played kareem tough but not dirty.

Scored FIFTY on wilt; scored FORTY SIX on healthy ralph sampson and hakeem at age 39(1986),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, 46 at age 39 on two HOFers....... and at age 38 finals MVP as kareem DOMINATED the HOF front line of celtics in 1985. Get a dictionary; look up "overrated"....you will see wilts photo WAAAAY ahead of kareems. You must be a micropenile trumper,,,,, hugh louz again
